How to Make Any NON Smart TV into Smart TV w/ Internet & Apps

- I show you how to turn any Non smart TV into a smart TV so you can connect to Internet and have access to Apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Sling, Hulu, HBO Max, Disney+, UA-cam, etc. The TV in this video is a RCA Non Smart TV (RLDED5098-UHD) but will work on any other non smart TV as long as it has an HDMI port. This goes for Sony TV, Philips TV, Zenith TV, JVC TV, Hisense TV, LG TV, Vizio TV, Samsung TV, Westinghouse TV, TCL TV, even computer monitor and projectors as long as it has an HDMI port. Do you have any suggestions for connecting a non smart tv to Bluetooth devices? Found a lot of adapters on amazon but even the highest rated ones have lagging issues. Can you recommend one?
I want to drive my LG C1 65" with an Asus Chromebox/wireless keyboard/finger pad. It seems to work perfectly and I'm not so thrilled to connect the LG to the internet. I mostly watch YT (some is 4k), movies on Amazon, Curiosity Stream, Magellan, but NO gaming. Am I missing out on (obvious/not so obvious) functionality keeping by new LG off the iNet? I assume all streaming apps can play on my Chromebox and I don't need time/weather to display on the LG assuming that comes from the iNET. Any advice or pointing me to videos/articles will be immensely appreciated. Thanks in advance!

One other method you didn't mention which I use myself is PlayStation 4. Can watch everything. Amazon prime, youtube, Netflix ex... but one setback is you can't watch anything using the remote play. That is just for playing games.I can use it to watch all my blue rays on it too.
question on the Google ChromeCast. I have it plugged in but all it does is show pictures for screen saving. I did not get a remote with mine when I bought it. How do I get it to the apps page like you did in the video?

There should be an internet setup option and you should be able to see a list of available wifi networks.

We just purchased our 1st Smart TV which is ROKU Based, moving our old, non-smart TV to another room.

Roku is excellent but I’d recommend the fire stick because one can connect to more google search options. I do have a 3 yr old Roku but maybe the newer ones do more not sure. Basing myself off what my son’s experience was with both fire stick and Roku. Really both are excellent.

Thank you but I do not have HDMI ports so what do I do to attach what you show like ROKU ?
You can connect a device with HDMI on an older TV by using an HDMI to RCA converter. Plug one end of the HDMI cable into the device and the other end into the converter. Then, take the RCA cables from the opposite end of the converter and plug them into your TV.

I have an old Samsung HD TV from 2010 that relies on Anynet/HDMI-CEC and ARC to link my Google Chromecast and Roku Streaming Stick. Every few weeks the Anynet/HDMI-CEC link dies and I can't use the Chromecast or Roku Is there a work around?

Try to clear cache on both prime and paramount app through fire stick settings.
