Good vid glad you put this out some people may not realize bigger tires do that I increase my tires by a whole 2 in and you can feel a difference in power
Yeah it's definitely a factor! Thanks for watching!
Sick truck my guy
Sun shining right in his face, Biff turned his hat backwards!!! Adorbs!!!
Had to full send it! 🤣
Just ordered some tailights and was asked to subscribe 👌🏽
Awesome! Welcome to the VividRacing family! 🤘🔥
Which lift kit does he have on this? Sick setup. I've gotta Bulletproof 10-12" but haven't installed it yet. Already swapped 5.29s in and I'm currently on 35" rubber.
to be honest I do not know.
Awesome Video, Great Info. Looking to do a supercharger on my 2016 Platinum. Can you tell me what bumpers he has on that truck?
Thanks for watching! Unfortunately we're not sure about the bumpers but if you send us an email at tuning@vividracing.com we can definitely help you out with the supercharger part!
These are ICI Magnum front and rear bumpers.
Sick
This thing was nuts! Thanks for watching!
This thing right here (the supercharger and lift kit) makes wanna start deadlifting my whole house. Love it! I’ve been so indecisive because I wonder what impact will it have on my transmission long term? What about the internals? I’m so new to superchargers and lift kits, so I apologize if I sound ignorant. I currently own a 2021 tundra trd pro. I got it ordered and delivered straight from Toyota. I’m ready to beast up my rig. Please enlighten me guys!
You're totally good! And it depends on what you mean by long term. If you drive the car 200k miles it will definitely be a little harder on the transmission and internals.
Absolutely fuckin love you guys!!! Toyota Rocks!!!
We appreciate it and we agree!! 🙌 Thanks for watching!
What are your opinions on the Whipple supercharger for the same tundra? I heard they go faster but how reliable are they?
Depends on your supporting modifications, if you have a built bottom end then Whipple, but if this is a stock application then Magnuson!
🏆🏆🏆👍🇺🇲🙏
Thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Did you guys ever test a tundra with bulldog tuner and see horse power and torque? I have an 08, trd intake, trd exhaust, bully dog tuner and pedal commander. The thing hauls ass. So just wondering. Thanks.
Unfortunately we have not but that sounds awesome!
@@vivid_racing please do. Appreciate your response. I'm very curious about it. I'd like a supercharger, but truck has 190,000 miles. Thanks
@@ddnmd Really what it comes down to is the heathliness of your engine and trans. If they have a clean bill of health, put the supercharger on it!
What gears should you put for a 38×15.50x20 wheel and tire setup? Any help would be much appreciated
5.29
I run 35s on my Tundra with 5.29 gears. Very nice setup.
4.88 bring it back to stock ratio for 37s, 5.29s if you want more torque and don't care about gas mileage
Mine isn't nearly as extreme but similarly built. Mine is just an old 2008 SR5 4x4 Crewmax with a TRD Supercharger (same exact TVS1900 as this Maggie) but I have JBA longtube headers, mid pipes, all catless, 2.5" true dual exhaust with external X-pipe, two single chamber Magnaflow mufflers, sounds amazing but not loud st all compared to old catback) it has the SABM and aFe drop in, DAPtuned (custom street tune, ARF = 11.7 per bank) and swapped my 4.30's out for 4.88's and the Auburn limited slip, only a little 3/1" level kit, 35's on 20's and all chrome deleted. It's a blue streak color with matte black instead of chrome as well as limo tint all the way around. It looks great compared to previously. It runs in the mid 12 seconds in the quarter and off-road is so impressive, it's hard to believe what a Supercharged V8 with gears, tires, mild lift, and capable driver can do. I need a few more videos but may post some on UA-cam. I can't really find many other trucks built this way or how they shine when in 4hi and the pavement stops! When all other half ton and bigger pickups can't go any further it's always the big boosted Toyota that drives around them to yank them out. I'd put a Tundra built like this against anything else street legal! I love this guy's big truck but do wish there was film going through some nasty muck. Too many people putting big $ into 4x4 lifted trucks but seem anxious about getting the tires dirty. Mine is a truck, I do truck stuff and do them better than your truck lol 😉
Nice! We filmed in Arizona so unfortunately not too many mud holes to hit lol but the owner definitely takes it off-roading and has some sweet footage on his Instagram!
Can you reference the gear ratio. I assume he went 5.29, but curious if it was 4.88. 38” tires I’m thinking 5.29
Yes he put the 5.29 gears in this truck!
What are the service intervals on this supercharger?
Non
I ordered headlights and they sent me an email saying delivery confirmation but I haven’t received anything
Email customer support only marketing is on social media.
Would love to have that on my 2020 Tundra.
Same here on my Trd..With the stock 18s.It would be a beast..Even now stock is a monster..it's a great model
I have a 2016 Tundra, should I supercharge it? Is it worth it?
Ultimately it's up to your discretion. Make sure to do your research. But our opinion is YES!
Where can I buy the Magnuson supercharger for 2014 Toyota Tundra?
From us! www.vividracing.com/index.php?keywords=magnuson+toyota+tundra
What type of gear ratio is on this tundra ?
I put the 5.29 gears in this truck
VividRacing..... do you guys install these Superchargers for anyone, the public? Have a 2019 Tundra needing one put on.
Did you already buy one?
@@vivid_racing not yet but do have plans very soon
@@vivid_racing are you guys in Arizona
We are in Az. Shoot an email to marketing at vividracing dot com
What front grill is that.
Maybe one from us www.vividracing.com/index.php?keywords=Toyota+tundra+grill
What gears did he upgrade to? I have 37's on my 18 Tundra.
He put 5.29 gears in this truck!
@@vivid_racing thank you so much!!
And I went with 4.88's but was before 5.29 ring and pinion gears were available. On 33's I was geared wayyy too low, on 35's it's perfect! I'm told that there's a mathematical equation or something that allows you to match up gears and tire diameter and will figure out your final drive ratio. Basically I was told that the 4.88's and 35" outside diameter tires would be a touch higher gearing than a stock tire 32.5" (on just 4wd models, 31.5" on 2wd) would have with stock 4.30's. Not all Tundras come equipped with 4.30's but most do. If it's 4x4 or has a towing package, basically there are few with 4.10's and 5.7 unless they're non-towing package and single cab, short bed, 2wd trucks.
If you have the extra power of a 1.9l supercharger like the truck shown here I would expect 4.88's to be much better than 4.30's but if you're willing to see 3000rpm causing at 60mph and need all you can get, go with the 5.29's but I'm told that my truck which makes north of 565whp on a dynojet on 33's with the mods I mentioned in the comments, I should be more than fine running up to 37's or 38's and only going 40"+ would cause me any concern about transmission temps, stress and strain on other components. If you're planning to maybe go bigger in the future I'd definitely say 5.29 but if you aren't going bigger and travel on the interstate often I'd think 4.88's would be a really nice addition. I'm no expert, I have had a similar truck as this one for 10 years, just serviced my supercharger at the recommended 100k miles mark.
*I would recommend a limit slip diff regardless of the gearing you go with, either Auburn or there's a new diff that's much like my Auburn except it's not a clutch type, no clutches. It's a little bit more expensive than my Auburn Pro LSD but hear good things about it.
Good luck to you, I learned that dealing with these trucks and especially the transmission or gears will take patience and a pretty open budget. I guess it's true, gotta pay to play!
*I've actually seen right at 15mpgs with the 35's and 4.88's but unfortunately have to burn 93 octane with the blower. Without the 4.88's I'd probably see that number much lower and my transmission temperatures run much higher. I really like the way it performs but even more, how it feels and drives with the correct gears and 35" tires. If you didn't know it you would never be able to tell you are driving a 4x4 on 35" mud grips. It just feels like it's stock with a ton of power!
DEFINITELY NEED to gear down for 37's in my opinion regardless of horsepower.
Is there a difference in using HP Tuner vs UNI Chip @vivid racing
Unichip is a piggyback. For the Tundra, you want to do a full ECU Flash. see here www.vividracing.com/ecu-flashing-c-11402.html?keywords=vr+tuned+tundra&manufacturers_id=1104
@@vivid_racing Does that price reflect on having a Magnuson Supercharger installed
@@DJRAMIROV The supercharger retails for $6995. We dont do installation here. But its typically a 15 hour job. Some shops charge $100 per hour.
@@vivid_racing positive displacement superchargers are some of the easiest to install just do it yourself. Most don't require any cutting or grinding or anything anymore at the worst you just have to pin the crank
If I wanted to get 700+rwhp out of a Tundra, how would I do so with a Magnusson SC?
Motor Work
Build bottom end (pistons and rods ) then buy a whipple supercharger
Tienen financiamiento o todo al contado??
Ofrecemos financiamiento a través de Affirm!
What tires are those 38s?

Where is vivid located at ?
We're located in Gilbert, AZ!
This truck is my buddy's n it is very bad ass in person
Thanks dude!
Bet never actually wheels it either...
Oh he does buddy trust me
Dieseldabz would have lost that bet.... 🤣 Instagram....@BeastModeTundra... 👍🏼👍🏼
It is a beast!
Is this truck internals forged ?
Stock… they can handle that power
@@vivid_racing isn't the limit around 550hp?
I was supercharging Tacos almost 20 year's ago now...
Congrats
A tundra with 150000 miles to high to install magnuson ?
Technically no, but you just have to be careful and don't drive it like its brand new
Did he upgrade the fuel tank to the 38 Gallon?
Yes
Those new tires sound like a Black Hole… or maybe that’s what NASA picked up was Car tires and engines. World Noise Pollution.
38s vs straight piped civic.
One lives at 2AM the other disposed 100s of windshields.
A battle for the ages.
Still need y’all to let me get a free supercharger 🙏
Ok let's make a deal. If you buy one on our website, we will send it to you!
@@vivid_racing well that’s not free 🫡😂
Going to ruin those rims and tires sooner than later if you take it over rocky trails. Taller rims and shorter sidewalls do not an off road truck make.
Everyone knows that but some people don’t need to worry about airing down and having bulges not sideways. More power to them.
The owner has taken it off-roading frequently with no issues yet. Thanks for watching!
@@vivid_racing I’m glad they havent had to air down their tires yet.
More like 8MPG.
Averaging 11.5mpg manually calculated on a corrected speedometer. The gears really help the MPG.
Yep gears really do help with the MPG!
Wow, 6th video have seen with this "SC" on it.... Look at all the lights BC Error. Wait what you have 4HI and 4LO plus? Traction control/assist dumb shit off? 33k miles.... Wait it has gears too. My next door neighbor has a civic with an wally world Led under h is car and Amazon special exhaust.......You know what the retail on that is buddy.....
Lights are traction control related since it’s on the dyno. Price is on link in description
Supercharger is cool but the rest of the truck is straight up ASS.
Another glorified "Mall Crawler". Ain't NOBODY actually wheeling that truck with 20" rims and a wrap..
So much wasted money to "look cool" and never actually use.
Pavement Princess 👸
@@sg1friz It gets used... check out my Instagram @BeastModeTundra.... there are mud hole pics, off road pics... lol... I'm not the typical "mall crawler" owner.
