    My gearbox had all the described issues your one had, the kickdown adjustment alone made all the difference. It needed almost 10mm of adjustment to achieve the same result as you described, WOT and just a bit of slack.
    Seems previous owner removed and incorrectly adjusted when doing a rocker cover gasket or something before selling to me. My main concern was the 32L per 100km fuel consumption mostly due to the poor shifts. After this cable adjustment its down to 21L per 100km
    Thankyou for making these videos. Very informative and saved me a ton of money on fuel.

    Superb vid, thanks for this. Am trying to get to bottom of jerky shifting on a uzj100 with the a442F. and just flushed all 17 litres with no change, so next step will be the cable check and solenoid/filter change. Is there procedure somewhere for the cable adjustment on the v8 throttle body, or basically the same?
    Also, how do you know which replacement filter (2 small pickup hole or no hole) to order ahead of removing the pan?

    excellent as always, it was interesting, i was weak in the upper shoulders once i found that out doing a very demanding job, so i did moderate weights every third day slowly building them up after many months people who hadnt seen me for a long time kept saying i had really filled out, i didnt notice it, but i no longer got shoulder muscle fatigue with my arms above my head all day. What gasket do you prefer ive always leaned towards rubber but is cork better or about the same.

      hi, flashing or fault codes is usually an electrical or sensor issue. start with checking all the basics first and work your way through. most often solenoids and sensors are contaminated. make sure you always warm up and bench test as many solenoids/sensors as you can, not just the one indicated by scan tool cheers

    Good as always
    How bad is it when you found a bit metal in the pan? Time to rebuild transmission? My 80lc does not shifting to 1st gear. Solenoid issued? When we did service transmission they metal in the pan
    Should I rebuild the transmission or just fix solenoid for now? Thanks in advance

    • @YepThatsIt
      @YepThatsIt  2 роки тому

    • @YepThatsIt
      @YepThatsIt  3 роки тому

      hi, make sure you check all basics first, more likely a clutch pack has a pressure issue. if you remove valve body you can air pressure test clutch packs to confirm. cheers

      hi, you just need to make sure that the trans fluid will dissolve it easily on its own. we use vaseline/petroleum jelly or lubegard transmission assembly gel. if you are in oz, contact me via our facebook link, can sell you hard tack ( hot weather ) or medium tack tub of gel. cheers

    Anyone experience this problem with A442F...when I shift into Reverse it will not engage. Shift into D 2 or L and it stalls out. Replaced the 4 solenoids and have same problem. If I unplug the transmission harness it will engage in Reverse, D 2 and L.
