Guitar cable crackling/popping noises fix

Obviously this is not a permanent fix, as the patinas/rusts would eventually build up again. For a more permanent solution consider changing the jacks to high quality plated ones.
Metal polish would work even better but I just have some ScratchX at hand. Sorry for the loud breathing noises. Cheers.

You fixed it, Doctor. Didn't have polish, so I used Brasso and 000 steel wool on the jacks and also went a little further with a brasso soaked Q-tip into the input jack. That q-tip came out a nasty dark grey, so it did it's job there too. Thanks for the idea. I'm glad I didn't throw out my other "noisy" cables,

Mine just doesnt transmit sound and it makes lots of sudden bangs and pops. Do i need a new one?
