This was an awesome day out so I'm glad you enjoyed me taking you along. Thanks for taking time to watch and comment, it's very much appreciated my friend 👍 Have a great day yourself 👍
I check the mountain forecast web site and then go for it when I see favourable conditions. Sometimes you don't get lucky but that's mountains for you. I'm in mountains across the valley from the first summit the day after with super weather. That's the next video.
Just fabulous, enjoyed watching the hike of Ben Nevis, the trail looks quite menacing, but i really like watching it! You had a great trip, busy as hell compared to others ive watched hike here, not a hermits best day out really, but the views were so breath taking, as was Carn Mor Dearg! You've done exceptionally well, loved the music and the narration throughout :D
If I know the mountain I'm going up is going to be busy I always go via the quietest route. You're right all these people are not very good for a hermit ha ha. At least the next video involves proper hermit summits. I'm glad the clag moved on and I got the views. I was proper made up. A kid in a sweet shop. I'm pleased you enjoyed the video and those views came across well. Thanks for coming along to another premiere, it's very much appreciated. Have a great week 👍 Paul
What a great hike up Ben Nevis, stunning views from the top. Couldn’t get over all those people! 😂No peace & solitude anywhere nowadays. Have a great week x💕thanks for sharing x
I know all those people are not very good for a hermit at all. However it was a fantastic day out that will live long in the memory. Thanks for coming to the premiere, it's much appreciated. Have a great week. Cheer, Paul 👍

I'm glad you enjoyed the views, it was a great day out. Thanks very much for taking time to watch and drop me your kind comments it's very much appreciated. Have a great day 👍
Awesome video mate the clouds made it look extra dramatic, yourself and Alan @54dn have inspired me to do this route at some point! Definitely like this style of editing!
I thought at one stage I was going to my views killed with the clag but it worked out well and I was made up. It's definitely one to do and by far the best walking route up Ben Nevis. I just keep an eye on the mountain forecast website then go for it and keep the fingers crossed. Thanks for taking time to watch and comment. Cheers, Paul 👍
This was an great day out that will live long in the memory. Thanks for taking time to watch and comment Mario, it's very much appreciated. Cheers, Paul

Hi Martin, hope you had a great bank holiday. I'm glad you enjoyed the views I captured. Thanks for taking time to watch and comment. Have a great week. Cheers, Paul 👍
Looked like a nice day for a hike up in the mountains. Not raining, a bit cloudy, but at least no burning sun. Good the clouds stuck to one side, giving nice views one direction. Great hike.
You're right I did get the best of both worlds really, the views and not too hot. The clouds did give a bit more of atmosphere but thankfully they did not obstruct the views I wanted to see. Thanks for watching and commenting, it's very much appreciated. Cheers, Paul
I feel very fortunate to watch this video through your lens without the obstacles you experienced. You spoke to the cam/the audience elegantly without a menacing tone of voice. Well done. Another successful video. 🙋♀🙋♀🛶🛶
Hello Ms Kayak. First of all thanks again for coming to one of my premieres, it's always good to see you there. My videos are about my organic experience of the days hike in the mountain. I try to convey what I see and feel is what's in the video. As you can probably gather I'm a fairly chilled out person. On this one, and going forwards, I will have a my mug shot on camera a bit more. It's not that bad really. While the clouds give the place an atmosphere I'm very glad they didn't obstruct the views for me. That first bit of the trail was pretty boggy and is energy sapping. Also I'd already been up 2 mountains the day before and walked 13 miles so my legs weren't totally fresh. And pesky water or dew getting onto the lens is a bit annoying so I'm going to have to get into the habit of wiping it before doing each video block. The video makes the trails look less steep than they actually are in some places and more steep in others. There were some great views on the whole hike and it's the main reason I do it, although there are lots of other reasons too. Some of the walk is just a vague path where other people have trod many times. You can't really get lost as I did the same hike last year in very poor visibility. I changed to my red hat near the start and did the woolly hat intro as a bit a laugh cos that's my YT profile photo attire. There was a bit of drop from the top of that first summit. Just don't stand too close to the edge. My next video I am in those mountain directly opposite this summit which I do the day after this hike on very tired legs. The weather was great so I was going up in the mountains. I do have a healthy fear of heights and while I take video footage from what looks like a dodgy place, I don't take risks. That clamber up through the rock at the end of the arete to get to the summit is a tough one. You could probably hear me breathing heavy. I tend to film on the go so I don't wait to get my breath back. There was quite a bit of the footage I did cut out but I thought just over 20 minutes of video was more than enough. Thanks for watching and commenting. Have a great week. Catch you soon, Paul 👍
Stunning and epic route Paul That edge always looks dodgy 😨😨 and probably dodgier than it is in practice. But so worth the effort. A real classic 👍👍👏👏 I’ve never done the Ben. I don’t know why - I think it’s probably the crowds. Probably won’t ever do it now. So it’s good to see what it’s like especially across that route Thanks for taking me along mate 👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏
Dave this was an epic day out that I will remember for a long time. The video makes the edges look a little more scary than they actually are. I don't like busy mountains myself especially ones full of one off hikers. They seem to have a different mentality. I'm pleased you enjoyed me taking you along and I do hope you get to experience some of it for yourself one day. Thanks for taking time to watch and comment, it's much appreciated. Have a great week. Cheers, Paul 👍
Fantastic video paul love the wa you keep that eerie music running right through video.and you captured some fantastic shots. What a great turn out in your premier .
Thanks Simon, I'm pleased you enjoyed it along with the music choice. I'm still taken aback by the turn out at my premieres and very much appreciate everyone coming along. It's something I will never get used to. I remember a time not too long ago when there was only me watching them. Thanks for coming along to the premiere and taking time to comment. Have a great week. Cheers, Paul 👍
Wow what a fabulous video, really show cased the route, the beauty of Ben Nevis 😍 yours and Alans videos have definitely helped me think I could tackle this route one day! Amazing footage and a fab premiere 🙌 have a great week, Ceri and Kat ☕️🗺🧭👍❤️🏴🗻
I'd say you should go for it. The video makes the arete look worse than it actually is for exposure. There is also a path down to the left if you need a break from going straight over the tops. I'm pleased you enjoyed the video and it got you thinking about having a go. Thanks for coming along to another premiere, it's very much appreciated. Have a great week 👍 Paul
Another Brilliant video awesome views didn't dissapoint. The clouds looked so cool hitting the mountains very high up scramble . Thanks for sharing your journey with us 😁👍
This was an awesome day out that will live long in the memory. Whilst the clouds give the place some atmosphere I'm glad they drifted off enough to not obstruct my views. Thanks for taking time to watch and comment. Hope you had a good bank holiday weekend. Cheers, Paul 👍
You will have to come back and watch it to find out. It's an awesome epic day out. I'd say the best but I've had a few awesome days out of late of which they're still to come out on video on my channel. It's well up there tho 👍
Sorry the audio spoiled the video for you. I've since upgraded my audio equipment and generally quit using too much background music so hopefully it should be a lot better quality in my videos over the past year or so. Thanks for your feedback, it's always welcome.
Sorry we were late Paul to your prem but wow what we caught at your prem was awesome! Can’t believe you queued at the summit 😳😂 those views you got a great day for it! Have a good week! ❤️👍😘💃
Yeah having to queue at a summit. That sucks, especially for a hermit ha ha. I think you came in on the premiere at just the right time. Thanks for coming along anyway. Have a great week 👍 Paul
What a wonderful video 📹 my friend. Spectacular views. Excellent videography skills. Marvellous place to visit. Amazing 💯 hiking 🚶♂️ experience. I loved your awesome 👌 video. Thanks for sharing. Stay blessed and connected.
The View of the Ben and CMD 14:16 is wonderful here Paul Your route up CMD was definitely less brutal than ours (and preferable to be fair) 17:08 mountains to the horizon other than Skye probably the finest mountain vista in the UK 🇬🇧 🏴🏔️ Great climb Paul 🙌and i enjoyed the film great on a tv 👍😊 Best regards Simon 😊🙏🏼🏔️
Hi Simon, I'm glad you enjoyed the video and shows you the easier route up on to the ridge. It's still not easy because it does seem to be climbing forever especially in the energy sapping boggy bit. I saw some awesome scenery last year that will live long in the memory and the YT videos will help that. It's one of the main reasons I started my channel. I hiked up Aonach Mor and Aonach Beag the day after and got superb views into the CMD arete and the Ben. It's always good to film in 4k so it looks great on the TV. Thanks for watching and commenting. Have a great week 🙂 Paul

10:53 My best friend ~ Beautiful trail image ~ It is wonderful ~ ~ Amreung-gil ~ It is amazing ~ I am a little scary ~ Wow ~ It is the best tracking video ~73
Definitely an awesome adventure and yes, very much an improvement the way you captured it. Those views... amazing. I love the little structures up there too, reminds me of hiking to Sahale Glacier in Washington, they had similar ones up there. Yes, gotta watch your footing on the way down, that stuff rolls so easily. I love how far you can see. Gorgeous.
This one was a fabulous day out and I was like a kid in a sweet shop taking in the views. Probably served me right on the footing because I took a bit of a shortcut down the steeper path. You could see for miles to the coast from there. Thanks for taking time to watch and your feedback, it's very much appreciated. Have a great week 👍 Paul
I'm pleased you enjoyed the views and the video. Thanks for coming along to the premiere, it's very much appreciated. Have a great week. Cheers, Paul 👍

Yeah this summit is always busy because it's the UK's highest point. Lots of one off hikers climb but I went by the quieter more scenic route. Thanks for watching my friend. Have a great day 👍
The view of the mountains is fantastic. We have never been here yet but we heard a lot of wonderful places on this area. It is always nice to discover and explore new places like this. A perfect place for hiking. Enjoy and chill!
Been to the top 4 times but never up that route, so a very interesting watch. Weather not looking promising at first but I loved the misty conditions and the rocky ridge walk, with the views really starting to open up. I had to Q for 15 minutes last year to get to the summit cairn but real pleased you got some super footage from the summit and on the way down. Cheers Alan
Only been up twice and both times by this route. The first time I got no views so I'm pleased it cleared on this occasion. Its a great route and a bit tough in places. I'm not used to a Q for summits. I much prefer places to myself. I was surprised how good the views were on the way down. Thanks for taking time to watch and comment. Cheers, Paul
This is a good video that I've ever seen, friends are always connected, if friends need authentic Indonesian recipes, I make them, I complete your language for each video so you can try Indonesian dishes, greetings from Indonesia, friends😍🥰
Hello my friend.. another nice walk.. the view looks great when you get to the top.. but you have to be careful while walking on that narrow road at the top.. both sides are abyss.. thank you for sharing.. stay in touch please👍
This hike had awesome views that at one stage I thought the clouds might cover. Thankfully not. I was in the mountains across the way the day after. That's the next video 👍 Have a great weekend. Cheers, Paul 👍
Congratulations, 2nd time was the charm. Was worried at the start seeing those clouds but they sure did add to the drama once you got near them. Stunning views and awesome hike. Thanks for sharing.
For a short time I thought my views were going to be thwarted once again but it turned out very well in the end. It was a great day out. Thanks for taking time to watch and comment. Cheers, Paul 👍
I love that hat ha ha. Thought I'd dig it out for the intro. I love hiking in Scotland as you can probably gather. Thanks for taking time to watch and comment...oh and the compliment 👍
The views are really outstanding. That ridgeline was so narrow, interesting to see some mountain climbing dogs making their way to the top🤣 Great video👍
This hike will live long in the memory. There seems to be a mountain dog on most walks, well the ones were I bump into people as well. Thanks for watching and dropping me a comment 👍
The big waterfall you see down in the valley just before I hike to summit is in fact Steall Falls. The small one near the beginning doesn't have a name. I hope to do the hike up the Munros that pass Steall Falls some day to get a closer look at that awesome cascading waterfall. The hike is very busy because it's to the highest point in the UK so lots of "tourists" like to hike up to the summit. However I hiked up there by the quieter and more scenic route. Thanks for watching and dropping me a comment. Cheers, Paul 👍
Lots of cars in that parking lot. The view of that lake below just gets better and better. The clouds are so epic. Adds to the drama of the hike. The are a heck of some views up top. Wow. The very top was pretty crowded. Very popular place. Great hike man! Loved it.
it's busy because it's the highest point in the UK so lots of "tourists" i.e. one off hikers hike it. They go up and down by the mundane path I came down. The route I took up has less people on it and is far more interesting as a hike and for the views. In general I don't like hikes where I see lots of people. I'm certainly not used to queueing for the summit cairn! I'm glad you enjoyed it tho. Thanks for taking time to watch and comment. I now need a slick intro after seeing yours. Cheers, Paul 👍
This is simply brilliant and the hike is just amazing.... Its great to see such amazing views and wish I get the opportunity to visit this place soon... its such a great video and thank you so much for sharing it with us
Amazing video and amazing location mate...this trail was breathtaking...Nicely captured Paul...cloud in the background was priceless...the background music was so soothing....Crossing the CMD arete looked challenging with slopes on both sides...loved the video and I am a fan of you mate...the trail looks great and it reminds me of our "Trek to Gilbert trail" but not as grand as this one...check that vlog of ours I am sure you would love it
I'm really pleased you enjoyed me dragging you along with me. This was a great day out in the mountains. Thanks for taking the time to watch and drop me a kind comment, it's very much appreciated. I checked out your channel and look forward to your future videos 👍 Cheers, Paul 👍

@@TheHikingHermit thanks mate. You too 👍👍👍
Hi, Paul, I will be waiting at the summit...🙋♀🙋♀🛶🛶
I look forward to seeing you Ms Kayak...it was a tough climb to get there 👍

🥈this was a great day out so hoping the video matches that 😊
Fantastic video paul love the wa you keep that eerie music running right through video.and you captured some fantastic shots.
@@TheHikingHermit Thanks it was OK 👍
this looks like its going to be a great watch, especially as its something I've wanted to climb for ages
You will have to come back and watch it to find out. It's an awesome epic day out. I'd say the best but I've had a few awesome days out of late of which they're still to come out on video on my channel. It's well up there tho 👍
what time and day was this Paul? 🤔
I left the car park about 9 in the morning so would have been on the arete between 12 and 1 ish
good film spoiled with very poor sound.

The View of the Ben and CMD 14:16 is wonderful here Paul
Your route up CMD was definitely less brutal than ours (and preferable to be fair)
17:08 mountains to the horizon other than Skye probably the finest mountain vista in the UK 🇬🇧 🏴🏔️
Great climb Paul 🙌and i enjoyed the film great on a tv 👍😊
Best regards Simon 😊🙏🏼🏔️

@@TheHikingHermit Paul, You were second on a DDuck Go search. Right below the person that owns that domain. That's pretty good. Stay consistent and try to find some benefactors to play your playlists. This will help recommend your videos. Don't get bogged down chasing every potential subscriber. A very beautiful hike! Great views and very mysthical ambience with the fog and the music. I didn't expect so many people in the summit 😅
Yeah this summit is always busy because it's the UK's highest point. Lots of one off hikers climb but I went by the quieter more scenic route. Thanks for watching my friend. Have a great day 👍

Ah here is the signature hat :) Looking good Paul! Beautiful hike you did there, Scotland is magical, and it is coming through clear on your video!
Beautiful! Looks like a very busy place to hike. Does that waterfall cascade have a name? I think that is the one I saw when I went to Steall Falls.
Cheers, Paul 👍
nice trip friend, the place you visit is so beautiful thanks for sharing good luck always 🙏

Thank you my friend. Have a great week 👍
