Waking up every morning to a crunchy dry Afro and trying to figure out how to style it for the day is hard .. I’m on the verge of texturing relaxing something
For future reference definitely start at the base of your hair then start applying it to the rest so your roots aren’t super puffy and your ends are more processed. Also there will be those spots that won’t really be as texturized 😂 just gotta apply products to that part first the next time you do a touch up
Girl I'm watching this and I'm like oh my God we got the same texture kinky afro 4C hair. I'm getting ready to do a test last now because I just cannot manage it to save my life.
I have 2 say that u had the most beautiful afro, it was so perfect o my goodness! However, I was also feeling ur curls after texlax. I'm a new subbie so please keep us updated! Very interesting results & video thank u.🥰💞
Till this day even tho I’m black I’m still trying to figure out how to do an Afro lol😂 pls make a video on how u do it pls 😭 love ur vid and ur hair is so beautiful ❤
Thank you so much❤️…. Idk if a whole video is necessary but I’ll definitely incorporate it in my videos in the future… It’s just about brushing or combing out your and shaping with your hands
I know that in the US you have that "1 drop rule" but not every "black" can do afro like you have to have the type 4 and just comb it there is nothing more
I’m glad I found your channel. I have a TWA and am going to put in a texturizer to loosen my curls. It never occurred to me to add my owns oils and conditioner to the mixture. Thank you for this video!💫🌸
Loved your video! I thought I was the only one with a frustrating, life-long hair journey. My hair has always been curly, but it’s uneven curls on different parts of my head (wavy on top and ringlets on the bottom). I finally found my style, which is to wear it up and use a curling iron to tame it. You are beautiful however you wear your hair. Just sayin’!
Thank you so much and yess girl but I wouldn’t say frustrating more like painful but honestly speaking it got easier the longer my hair got 💯 it’s just not suitable for me in this time of my life ie military and plus I’m really tender headed so that limits my versatility quit a bit
Only texturize your roots. Stay away from your ends! I did this years ago and wound up with scraggly ends after multiple uses. My recommendation is only let the product touch your roots.
wow yours came out so good compared to other videos i’ve seen. can you do an update? or at least tell me in the comments do you regret it or love it now that its been 9 months? and also any tips on someone who’s thinking of doing it on 4b hair
Yes, I loved it while it lasted lol. the plan was always to go back to fully relaxed hair but ik I would miss my natural as well. I’m currently somewhere in the middle with relaxed and Texlaxed hair and still transitioning at my own pace to relaxed hair
I did this today and…idk how to feel about it half of my head is like a soft fuzzy cotton ball (especially my edges )and sections came out kinda curly but as I was working my hands through and washing my hair I lost most of the curls. As someone with “crunchy” 4C hair it’s definitely more manageable now but not really what I thought it would look like definitely still need to do some manipulation. ❤
Well to be honest I had figured out how to easily manage my natural hair I just wanted to go back to straight hair and it helps with the fact I’m tender headed
I manage my 4c hair fine, it’s just styling. I want more defined curls with my styles. I always end up with box braids because it’s just a puff or shrinks too munch for my liking.
@JosephineOchere I understand. It's just how you said it took me out. Love it!!! I was laughing my butt off after you said it's giving natural damage looks. Cause I was in the mirror looking at my hair at the same time lol. I needed that for 2024.
You're still NATURAL, just no longer as textured as 4c. So let's just say you de-texturized. You are beautiful, your hair is beautiful and you can still treat it and keep it healthy without having the deep textures.
Her hair is no longer “natural”. The term “natural” refers to how your hair NATURALLY grows out of your scalp. When you permanently alter your hair with a chemical like relaxers and texturizers to loosen the curl pattern, your hair is no longer natural because that wasn’t how it grew out of your scalp. I’m not saying her altered hair isn’t beautiful but I’m just telling you not to lie like that.
You should avoid near scalp and the ends of hair next time, your roots and ends process very fast and you dont want to look like you need a touch up and to have straight ends.... I LOVE IT!!!! this 4c hair with knock the detangle brush out your hand and fly across the room, I understand
I watching for my daughter’s hair. It’s been a struggle. Shes getting older wanting to do her own hair. But she’s don’t fully detangle it. So I’m hoping something like this can help.
Honestly it depends on individual coarseness plus I’m extremely tender headed. But I can honestly say I found a hair regimen that worked for my natural hair during that time I just made up my mind already d/t my personal preference of wearing it straight.
It's at the nappy bob stage and I can't. I'm waiting on a kidney transplant. I don't have the skill nor the energy to battle with my 4c hair. It keeps getting tangled. I need to snip the horrendous split ends too. It still falls out from my renal disease but I need to be able to handle it. Wish me luck. Doing it tonight.
Hey idk if any1 can help me but i have very low prosity extremely thick and i either have 4b or 4a maybe 4c idk. But im pretty sure its 4b or 4c anyways i wanted to get a curly perm or texturizer bc i not only wanted to actually enjoy doing my hair by it being more managable but also wanted to change the texure to 3b or 3c hair bc i like the looks of those type of 3b/3c finger coils and the curls as well. can any1 tell me what i should do and if its expensive like what product bc i wanted a jherri curl i js dont know if my hair will always be wet also i wanted a ginna curl but thats like 700 for my hair length. It’s not a fake disclosure when you’re just actually stating your why’s that pertain to your hair. It’s not something I just did only because of a relaxer I did the same thing when I cut all my hair off as well about 3 years ago
I’m over that debate love but you should know that your hair can be more than one curl pattern. This was my hair fresh out of knotless braids which means stretched not in its natural state
@@Bunchochere Oh ok. I would not advise the texture release kit, it's not all what it seems. It can thin out the hair... Be careful of the commercially advertised products for natural hair.
