Sounds awesome and versatile (most of the other videos on it are cool too but most of them tended to play the same kind of style which I found boring). why do people say epiphone is for beginners i think its just because they have the cheaper models and like for some reason GIBSON doesnt want to make anyone feel not beginner

It's annoying because it makes me not want to play it as the buzz is so irritating, but I know that this guitar is amazing - I'm just not feeling at at the moment as it feels shit to play (it doesn't sound any different though).
i want three for the three different tunings my band plays (e standard/drop d, drop c, and drop Bb). i played one through a rev generator and it roars like no other with the perfect amount of clarity (did that in drop d and c) im only worried how it would sound in Bb

The pickups are the same in the custom pro and the plustop pro. The main differences are that the custom pro has gold hardware, a push pull knob on the tone for the rhythm pickup (in addition to the two for the split coils on the volume knobs) to put the pickups out of phase with one another when the selector is in the middle position, and the binding on the headstock and back of the body of the guitar. Fewer color choices with the custom pro. Also the split diamond shape on the headstock. That's pretty much it.
I recently bought this guitar used 2nd hand in near flawless condition for $300.00 (and no tax or anything since bought secondhand) and this guitar can absolutely rock through anything. I was a bit hesitant since it doesn't have the fancy 'GIBSON' logo on the headstock and I didn't want a 'beginner' guitar but let me assure you this is not a beginner guitar. From the beautiful mother of pearl inlays to the quality sturdy build and the premium feeling components there's nothing beginner about it. It's a workhorse guitar and it's durable and HEAVY to hold. Just forget about the logo and just feel one of these in your hands. I highly recommend this guitar for anyone on the fence about it.
Don't waste your money for buying Gibson. The only different is just the headstock. You'll never notice the sound difference except you are a professional musician.

Maybe the professional setup didn’t setup your guitar well? I’ve got the same guitar and it plays like butter.

I hear ya....go a 2012 model.....thru my 6505/mesa.....its monstrous!!!!! Especially in dropped tunings......best $300 ever spent!!

What's the difference between this and the epiphone Classic custom pro?
The custom classic has Gibson pickups whereas this(custom pro) has Epiphone's pro-bucker pickups.
