I got my new hat with my New SVL75-3 last week. Should be a great addition to the rental fleet. Messicks is always helpful and easy to deal with buying parts and equipment. Truly makes it a pleasure to do business. Keeps me coming back!
Neil is the Man. Thank God I only live out half hour away from their new location in Manheim. Even in the middle of shortage of anything and everything, Neil took his time to help me find it within an hour. Ohh I didn’t get a hat though. lol.
Two of my favorite channels in one video. Please remind Neal that we’re all hoping that Messicks will open a dealership in Wisconsin’s North Woods. I’d rather buy substandard equipment from a great dealer than the other way around. From Neal’s videos, I can tell that you get both a great dealer & a great product from Messicks.
Box blade is far more useful than just driveways... I have cleared fields, built gun ranges, etc.... they are one of the most useful dirt moving and grading tools a tractor can use.
Neill.... It looks like you had a blast visiting Mike. It's so good to see you guys together. But I bet he doesn't have a chainsaw museum, LOL😂😂😂 Give my best to Nick!
Great video guys. How much money do you have to spend at a Kubota dealership to get a free Kubota hat? With my tractor and implements, I spent $26k, I still had to buy the hat, and I had to order it from Kubota LOL. So much equipment that Mike uses on almost a daily basis. The land plane, and a grapple are high on my list, as well as a rotary cutter, or more likely a flail mower. Unfortunately all the larger companies that sell the flail mowers are back east, and my Kubota dealer wanted $7500 for a flail mower, umm nope....

NEIL, I have a b-2650 Kubota no cab on it. i had a 3rd function put on it now i would like to put the rear hydraulics on it. two units one for the top link and the other for back blade angle or snow shoot left to right angle on a rear snow blower. there 3 options Kubota, Summit and Tractor Innovations kits their all-different kits for it. which would you recommend to put on the tractor. the dealer put the 3rd function on a year after I bought it for a grapple, now I want to put rear hydraulics on it. what's your opinion on it. the prices are different.
NEIL, ok the Kubota one is better way to go. could you send a picture where the levers would be located on the b2650 open cab and see what they look like. I cannot fine a picture of them. I only found a picture of levers under the right side of the seat or on the bucket arm, witch I have a 3rd function on there. THANK YOU.

Happened across this video and I follow Mike quite a bit so this was great to see what Mike does and why he uses the equipment that he does…. Easy to share with my dad and my son since we have similar property, goals, etc. Thank you Neil and Mike!
I live in Missouri and get most of my parts for my M5-111 on the internet at Messick….parts means filters and stuff I can do myself. My local dealer sucks😢thanks Neal!
My local dealer don't necessarily suck, but sometimes its just nice to go online and get stuff and not have to drive to the dealership....Messick's is my go-to if I don't drive to the dealership. I also got my Titan Pallet Forks from Messick's, they were nice enough to sell them to me and ship them since my dealer couldn't get a hold of any soon enough....the only issue is they're for a compact tractor instead of a sub-compact tractor so the frame and forks are a bit heavier than I really like, but they do the job, just lowered my lift capacity by quite a bit on an already small sized tractor. I'd order more from them but the shipping is way too high (not a fault of Messick's though). Pallet forks were shipped to a local Fedex terminal, I just had to drive over and pick them up, and I think it was only a few days after I ordered them that they showed up, so shipping wasn't all that bad either just the weight makes the price go through the roof real quick LOL. During Covid, was when I ordered my tractor, my poor salesman being the only Kubota salesman at the dealership was at wits end with inventory issues....waited a month for the tractor, but dang they did a great job in setup and delivery....Just terrible timing on purchasing on my part with the whole thing....everything was a waiting game for us.
I started watching Mike's channel when I was in the market for a tractor. I had narrowed things down to a compact and had the Kubotas in mind. Mike's channel came up on a search for the 3901 and I've been a subscriber ever since. I take care of a small part of 63 acres my wife inherited. If I get into the hay business I'll have to upgrade but for now I'm good. The XG-850, a 725X mower, and the 3901 is what I'm using.

The toy pedal tractor doesn't count LOL...JK...don't feel bad, I had to buy my Kubota hat from the Kubota Website....but I also bought during the plandemic time frame too, so I'm sure supplies were pretty well wiped out just like the inventory was....heck I never saw the tractor I bought until it was delivered as the dealer didn't have a single tractor on the lot...not even a larger one LOL.
I have a sub-compact tractor, even the box blade isn't enough ballast at times, I have 4 of the 42 pound suitcase weights I hang on the cross bars of the box blade for additional ballast...while only adding about 168 pounds, its a major help when moving around dirt, gravel, or using the pallet forks. Love my little tractor, but its a little light in the back end sometimes LOL.
Wouldn't be surprised. Seems like that size excavator is exactly right for most tasks....too much larger and you'd have access limitations in a lot of areas, smaller and you'd have stability and capacity issues.
Neil, a while ago you sold Mike an Auger, I tried to buy the same setup from Messick's but the salesman (Justin) told me what was sold to Mike was incorrect. He said that an auger for a skidsteer is different than an auger for an excavator. The main difference is the way the hoses leave the auger. Based on that I've been doing research trying to find out if this is true. I have spoken with a few different manufactures and they seem to agree that the hose location (out the top or out the side) is not an issue as long as your not abusive to the equipment. I was wondering your thoughts.
both are correct. Justin is correct that its preferable on an excavator to have the hoses exit at the top, if your not going to bury the auger drive in the ground having the hoses at the side is a minor issue. I could see an issue using the excavator style on the a skid steer since the backing plate is so close to where the hoses exit the drive. If you wanted Mikes setup that goes both ways I'd choose the skid loader style personally.
