Joyce is a great addition to the line of fantastic American singers of Didon: Verrett, Bumbry, Troyanos, Norman, Graham, and now Di Donato. I’ve seen the version with Michael Spyres, but haven’t seen a clip anywhere of her collaboration with Brandon Jovanovich.
I am surprised that your list of great American singers of Didon omitted the name of the late Lorraine Hunt Lieberson. I saw her in the role at the Met and she was superb. Thank you.

If I can be hyper critical it lacks a bit of passion - however, both are great singers of course and I'm sure the complete performance is wonderful.

DiDonato is often out of tune.
Is the conductor and orchestra of such little consequence to you that you can list nearly the entire cast but omit the 80-some-odd-people working hard and making music behind them for the duration of the performance?
Great singing of course but the reference still has to be Vickers/Veasy/cond Davis.(Philips 1969)- unmatched to this day.
I would say the Susan Graham recording is the benchmark recording.
