Science time. Blue flame = Oxidising flame, red/yellow flame = reducing flame. If the oxygen is in excess, flame is blue, if the fuel is in excess and oxygen low, it's yellow. Oxidising flame is hotter.
Science question...fantasy Science. Wouldn't an undead creature have less or no oxygen capacity thus reducing or outright eliminating the blue more oxygen rich flame?
I view it as an undead beam of some sort, as mentioned in some reviews *maybe this one I have listened to so many* the wall didn't seem to melt as much as it seem to disintegrate.
I mean, when dealing with the interaction of 2 magical creatures ( night king and a dragon ) can we really ask science for an answer ?Science be like : " I got nothing dude :/ " lmao. I assume the dragons lungs are made functional by Necromancy. As for the flame disintegrating the wall, I just assumed it was because the magic of the dragon flame was destroying the magic used to build and support the wall, hence basically destroying it completely.
Would have thought there would be more oxygen now that viserion has a hole in his throat. Yep that's how breathing works, I guess it's actually the opposite and could make sense 🤔hmmm GoT science
I actually loved the Theon/Jon scene. I figured that Theon struggling with what family he belongs to and Jon saying he can be part of both is forshadowing, since Jon is in the same position, being half Stark, half Targaryen, though he doesn't know it yet.
Bran is basically just the only person that has google... he doesn't actually know everything, but he can do a search if he knows what he's looking for
Your analogy is pretty close but it still undermines 2 HUGE parts of his abilities. 1-we don't really have anything that can come close to his worg ability, in real life. 2-he doesn't just have google. He can hack anyone and everyone's phones, hard drives, search history, etc. and get any and every dirty little secret that exist.
To those who think two years waiting is bad for next season I say this: Oh my sweet summer child. What do you know of waiting? Waiting is for the winter, when the manuscripts fall a thousand pages long, only to be scrapped and started over from the beginning. Waiting is for the long night, when GRRM hides his pen for years at a time, and little children are born and live and die without seeing a new book!!
Ironic that *waiting* to finish the books wasn't what George wanted to wanted to and sold the rights to the series before hand. You think George does work? These poor fuckers have to film one of the biggest fantasy drama series of the modern age under a tight deadline with location scouting all over the Northern Hemisphere and hiring the best cast and crew humanly possible to attain at this time. George can wait and take as much time as he likes dangling bait before the fans but this crew has no such luxury.
My interpretation for the Theon scene was that all the torture he went through as Reek kinda made him super pain tolerant and resilient, so even though he gets smashed at the start of the fight, he doesn't give up and perseveres. Sort of a parallel with his character arc.
KleptooN but it was still a horribly cheesy scene. It doesn't matter how good your pain tolerance is. If someone knees you in the crotch full force multiple times, it's gonna hurt a lot.
Jon's name being Jon. Ned pretty much named all his kids after people who were close to him. Jon and Jon arryn, Robb and Robert baratheon, bran and Brandon Stark. It's something you can piece together from the first book. Come on guys
Ned named his kids after important people in his life Jon Snow is named after Jon Arryn Robb Stark is named after Robert Baratheon Bran Stark is named after Brandon Stark (Ned's Brother) Rickon Stark is named after Rickard Stark (Ned's Father)
There was an Arya Flint who married into the Stark family. She was Ned's Grandmother. I don't think she was that significant but hey. Sansa is an old stark name.
Best scene to me was the look Jamie gave to Cercei when she ordered the Mountain to kill him. For some reason that was a very powerful to me, with the music and the shakiness in his face. I was convinced that was the end for him
Seriously did you actually think that the Stark women would marry a friggin' brothel owner? In the long term, WHY did you want to own brothels? Bad move!
I think book Littlefinger will take completely different actions and has entirely different motives. I never believed that Baelish even wanted the Iron Throne or loved Sansa. If the book version of Baelish matches the TV version, then I guess I'm just disappointed. We shall see.
9:04 Robb was honorable? He broke is oath to Walder which in turn got him killed. It was his dishonor that lead to his death. Still loved the character though
I think like here with Jon, whether he kept or broke his oath, the Freys were always going to betray him. Trusting shite people is what led to his death.
I love theon not as a person but as a character because of his complex backstory and competing loyalties but also because he is the only character who seems to understand the deaths of lowborns are just as sad as those of nobles.
Yep. I think Jaime will admit to what he did and apologize. Bran will sort of forgive him but more in a, "I don't really care. I'm the three-eyed raven now" kind of way. Or maybe he'll say that he's seen that Jaime is trying to be a better person, I don't know. I'm definitely looking forward to that in any case.
I think the Hound and Brienne was maybe the best in the whole episode. Not a lot was said, but there was so much respect there. They should make babies.
Little finger dying represents the death of the game. The white walker threat is uniting so many people and there's no more time for petty claims and power struggles because there's something bigger than that. People can't afford to play games anymore. The only one playing it now is cersei. I like his death because the show is not about that anymore.
True, that would have sealed it if Cersei died. But Lena is a main character and they would need to have something for her to force in season 8. Varys as well,But Littlefinger started the present war.
gtrslinger THANK YOU !!!! That's what I've been saying. She is just a token chick :( they ruined the last review of the season because they let her on. :/
i found it trite too. OK, so it made it easier to see the family resemblance we know, but the platinum colour makes the connection anyway. Rhaegar has longer hair in any portrayal of him ive seen or imagined
The Hound's biggest issue is that he is a decent man born into an indecent life. That's why he has "sad eyes", as Tormund observed in E6. Good job, NS! Love your episode breakdowns.
Only reason Bronn and podrick left is the actor and actress who plays Bron and Cersei were married and divorced in real life and had it so they have 0 scenes together. edit.. o u guys say it like 30 seconds later lol
Regarding the fight scene with Theon, I think the point was that there is no beating that would ever compare to what he endured by Ramsays hand. And to have that weight/guilt lifted from his soulders in the scene before with Jon allowed him to realise/feel that he can still try to do something good despite everything he has done before.
After all the horrors that happened to Theon he still got rehabilitated. He wasn't referring as a Reek to himself for some time but he was still the broken person. Now he isn't. Thats the point.
14:00 - I feel like with the whole "If you pass the sentence, you swing the sword" thing, that was Arya basically telling Sensa that she (Arya) would be Sansa's sword. If Sansa passes judgement on someone, Arya will be there to carry out the sentence.
This isn't from ASOIAF but in a different book a girl holds someone at swordpoint and says she is her mother's sword, and when she is told that she shouldn't be threatening this person or that, she says a sword doesn't care where it is pointed
This was why I didn't overreact and say that episode 6 was the biggest pile of shit ever. Episode 7 did a good job explaining certain things that happened earlier.
I mean it got little bit better I agree but it still is one of the worst episode. Not to say that the episode was objectively bad, just compared to other GOT episodes.
It really did and honestly the things the fans where whining about "Time Travel" were honestly just petty and juvenile. A decade ago we had lord of the rings arguably the best fantasy movie series of it's era and no fan was stupid to need a line of dialogue to know time had passed between movies. Yeah the eagles not flying them all the way was a meme and a joke but good fans never took that shit seriously because the Journey is what made the movie. Episode 7 had flaws but in terms of addition it was exponential in it's necessity and in terms of cinematrography one of the best action sequences ever filmed.
Actor Adam Anouer Its not juvenile to become annoyed or for your enjoyment to have been decreased because you were taken out of the show for a moment because of a break in internal logic.
The point of the game between Sansa and Littlefinger is so Sansa would realise he was playing her and Arya off against each other. Sansa KNEW Arya didn't want to be Lady of Winterfell, so that's the moment she knew for sure that Arya wasn't against her. Can we stop obsessing with calling Sansa dumb now?
Bran being the Three-Eyed Raven is like having access to Google. He doesn't "know" everything outright, he just has access to a massive database where he can look anything up.
You say that men being noble has gotten them killed, but consider the following. Ned lied for years about Jon's true parents alongside the events of The Tower of Joy. Rob broke his oath with the Frays and paid the price too. Rather than argue that Jon will follow the ways of those before him, it could be argued he's the only true noble person to lead the charge as of yet in Thrones. Just my two cents.
@@NoahG24 He didn't break his vows, the NW vows don't say anything about sleeping with someone, as Sam points out and he only left after he was killed.
Also, who knows what Ramsay did to that area. He might have burned the area to stem infection or something. Those nerve endings have to be beyond dead. It's like when the Hound and Brienne fought and he kicked her in the crotch and she felt it, she wasn't mutilated down there!
I love these discussions. I see people disliking the purple girl, and while I personally disagreed with pretty much everything she said, she didn't lecture or imposing or being disrespectful to the other opinions in the way that some commentators subtly do, and i enjoyed her adding to the conversation, if only to be the devils advocate. She wasn't having unpopular opinions because she thought it would stir conversations, she seemed to genuinely feel what she said. Keep at it girl! 👍🏻 (Also note how people are saying she's monotone, but so are the guys. Also, who ISN'T somewhat monotone when having an indepth discussion?!)
Paige Connelly Agreed. They are all monotone but the blue ant and turtle are the funniest to me. The purple ant/beetle wasn't. :/ And no it's not cause she has a vagina. I have a vagina. Just cause I have one doesn't make me entitled to being funny or not funny.
She was all in for the hating! I disliked her whole attitude and the lack of passion when talking about such an amazing episode from a FUCKING AMAZING show. Sounded like a spoiled brat and I don't really know what her expectations about movies/shows are. She has bellow average performances in all videos and her humor is rather lacking. Everyone these days is super critical and many don't appreciate the hard work others put in to satisfy the masses. She seems like that type of person! Her opinions are not based on reality. I can't even imagine a person watching this episode and not enjoying it and calling stupid every character you think should have acted differently. I would say that person has life issues, frustrations or just enjoys to hate! People hating on her attitude is because of her own doing. Yes, some overreacted and offended her & I don't agree with that, but the rest of the criticism she received (mine included) was spot on. She deserved all the moderate criticism. Let's not be snowflakes here, she should take it as constructive criticism and move on.
Alexa Scarlet I mean, subjective insults aside yes. I agree her opinions on the show should be criticised but let's not involve assumptions about her personal life.
Cyndi sammy he is, you see them outrun the first collapse, and I'm pretty sure they would have ample time to get clear of the major one. In any case, they are fine, if you don't count the fact that they now are on the wrong side of the army of the dead and any reinforcements
there are many comments, so this was probably already said, but to add another layer to Ned naming him Jon Snow - Ned has always said that Jon Arryn raised him as though he was own father, even though he wasn't his real father. Ned raised Jon his whole life as though Jon was his true son, even though he wasn't. Gives the name Jon some new depth when you learn it's not actually Ned's son
The scene where Jaime leaves and winter finally falls on Kings Landing is easily my favorite scene. It's truly some beautiful cinematography and some fantastic shots and there's no dialogue what so ever and it's still great. When the snow is falling on the map of Westeros that was some fantastic imagery, showing that no one is safe from winter and the white walkers. Great episode.
Robb didn't get killed for being honorable. He got killed for being DIShonorable -- for breaking his promise to W. Frey. Also, Cersei is a total narcissist. She feels nothing positive for Tyrion whatsoever. She didn't kill him because it was in her interest not to.
fyreflye100 Cat was really responsible for both deaths. Ned's for telling him to trust littlefinger, taking Tyrion and then freeing Tyrion. Rob's for demanding to do the negotiation with Frey, letting Jaime go and telling him not to trust Theon, by this point doing the opposite of what she suggested seemed like a good idea.
Jaime goes north. Bran tells Jon and company that he pushed Bran out of the window. Arya kills Jaime and takes his face. Arya and the Hound ride south to confront Cersei and the Mountain. Arya wears Jaime's face bringing the Hound or someone else as a prisoner. The Hound fights and kills the Mountain, and Arya strangles Cersei. I don't think this is that great of an idea, but I bet my left ovary and my right testicle that D&D will do this plot word for word, more or less.
I haven't read any plot leaks, but if I'm not the first person to think of this scenario, then I guarantee you D&D already have, and are going to greenlight it, if they haven't already. Face it, D&D have killed what ASOIAF is all about. Now it's just The Walking Dead: Medieval Madness. It's obvious they don't know what they're doing since George isn't holding their hand. The show is entertaining, but it has taken a major dip in quality after season 4, save for 1 fantastic episode in each season 5,6,7. I won't be surprised is the finale is on par with Dexter's finale.
I think Jon has his point. If he lied to Cersei, his word doesn't mean anything anymore. If one day Daenerys stop trusting him, then they are really doomed.
家瑞 Cui your completely right. Not only that it would just make him a shitty character and no longer would the audience think of him as the moral character who wants to save weastros but more like a power hungry Lord with his own means. Would of just ruined a good character.
I think Sansa was not on to Little fingers tricks until he tried to convince her that Arya wanted to be Lady of Winterfell. Even Sansa knew Arya never wanted that... So then she went to Arya and they went to Bran, and he confirmed it all.. Wish it was on screen though
If Jon and Danny have a baby it will 100% be named Eddard EDIT: what if Cersei names her baby Tywin, so the next generation of Targaryen/Stark and Lannister sort of repeats itself, it would be absolute fan service but it might happen.
Littlefinger went from starting a war that de-stabilized the political balance of an entire continent to trying to poison the relationship between two teenage girls, which was his undoing. Fucking pathetic writing, I think. Littlefinger got so fucking dumb after season 4. This was almost a mercy killing.
Couldn't agree more... They should have killed him season 5, he beacame so useless once he was with sansa... same for Varys, what's next for him? I really wished Littlefinger and Varys would have one last scene together before one of them dies
I do think that the Jon/Daenerys romance is expected, justifiable and actually *pretty good* when you consider all the shit that is happening right now. On a base layer, like Littlefinger said, they're both young and unmarried; they're both attractive people and only human. Especially when they're of such equal station, it's only natural when considering a Queen and King being in so much close proximity that the idea of a marriage would come up. And right now, Jon is dedicated to fighting the Night King. What's the Army of the Dead's weakness? Fire. Then this beautiful queen shows up with three fire-breathing dragons, it's almost poetic. Then on a more thematic level is the Ice and Fire. Melisandre vouches for it herself. They were foreshadowing it so much last season with the marriage line and the "He's not the first to love you, and he won't be the last." line. Like seriously, dNd are not faint with their foreshadowing. They may as well have practically told us that a baby is coming from their union. Their love is a pioneering of life. In the face of death and darkness and cold, they find love in each other. It's a statement that champions them as the GOOD side, fighting for the light. A baby between them, offers only more encouragment towards that goal. To quote Tolkien "That there’s some good in this world, Mr. Frodo{Daenerys and Jon}. And it’s worth fighting for." Anyway, I think it worked nicely.
I agree so much with this! I don't see how people hate them but love the less interesting story of him and Ygritte, I get she was his first love but she wasn't trying to help the innocent, she killed them ! lol (except baby sam n gilly)
Jay C sooo....? An unhappy marriage? The north and the faith could also renounce him for the incest part. Huh, that might actually be the "bittersweet" ending George was talking about.
Jay C ... because Jon's a northerner? And Incest is a BIG no no for them? And also because he would be forced into marriage because of the baby, that's NOT a healthy or satisfying relationship.
How can you make a case that Tyrion is responsible for the death of Tommen? Please don't say "because he killed Tywin and the Tyrell's wouldn't have stepped out of line if Tywin were alive because the Tyrell's murdered Joffrey while Tywin was alive.
I agree, but Tyrion likely knows that Cersei isn't capable of taking that kind of responsibility; and seeing as Tyrion was kinda responsible for Myrcella, he probably would've made that confrontation a lot worse if he tried to shift any blame towards Cersei. Then again, maybe he doesn't know the details of Tommen's death yet.
Lokiago cersie is the one who killed tommen w her half ass attemot to have the high sparrow carry out her dirty deeds,it turned on her in more ways than 1
Heres my shot at the ending giveaway: 1: Turtle 2: Purple girl 3: Blue that's in every video 4: White man on your youtube banner 5: Monkey with classy bow tie Thanks for doing this and my bad for the lack of name knowledge lmao
Getting chains onto the dragon isn't that far-fetched. Just because the wights can't swim doesn't mean they stop living when they're under water. The knight king ordering a few wights to jump in with the chains, knowing that they'll spend the rest of their existence on the riverbed is totally plausible. And where did they get the chains? These things have been around for thousands of years, killing and ransacking villages, it'd be weird if they didn't have resources like metals, weapons, basic tools. Lastly, we don't know what the far north of the Lands of Always Winter are like. Who's to say there aren't cities just like the south.
Yeah even if they had the metal. How the fuck would being made of ice tend the fires of a forge. Or wights for that matter. The size of forges required for chains that big is massive. Also the others have never used metal before. And how would they construct such a forge. It still doesnt make sense. Youre trying to add logic to something dumb. Just admit it was stupid
White walkers aren't affected by fire, only their wights. Even so I'm not saying they forge their own metal (which is plausible) I'm saying tools are already there for their use. Think of how many harbor towns have been established north over the years. Hardhome alone probably had decent enough chains between their walls, gates and harbor and that's only one town that we've been exposed to in a very small time period in the night king's existence. It's only dumb if you're too lazy to think about it.
yeah, that's what I'm getting at. The white walkers seem more like a race at this point in their existence, it's very plausible that they have an entire society far far north.
WHOOHOO! I've been checking UA-cam every hour since Sunday night waiting for this review. As SOON as the episode finished my first thought was "Oh man, I can't wait to watch Nerd Soup's take on this"
Silverliege me too! Even tweeted them a couple of times about it asking where it was. But I was so disappointed. The panel didn't need two extra people, a guy that hardly said anything and a girl that wouldn't shut up. Their worst review ever. And so short! Didn't even talk about where Jamie was going
Owen Willicome 100% don't know why they gave him a name that was given by 100 people in the history Game of Thrones mean seriously there was so many Aegon Jaehaerys would have been a thousand times better
Noah Hansen and its inconspicuous. Who would bat an eye at Ned returning from the war with a bastard named Jon Snow? All I'm saying is I'm sick of all the Aegons, and I really wanted his name to be Jaehaerys.
... there are so many characters named after their fathers or grandfathers why does it even matter? they've actaully changed characters in the shows to different names so it would be less confusing... people complain about changing a characters name or when they have the same name... lmao
Ok just a few things I need to get of my chest: 1) I thought the Theon/Jon scene was brilliant, they obviously had to have a proper conversation after everything that went down. Jon's line about forgiving what he can was good, adds some nuance to their relationship. The fact he still regards himself and Theon as Starks was also a great insight into his ideas about identity. 2) I genuinely thought Jamie was in with a chance of getting sliced in half, real tense moment done expertly. 3) The iron islanders getting behind Theon was not dumb. He proved to them he was no longer a coward. When threatened with death he kept getting up. The Iron islanders ( like the Dothraki) follow strength. Theon exemplified strength. 4) This notion of Tyrion being jealous of Jon and Dany is also stupid, and inconsistent with his character. I think it's much more likely that he is pondering what this new union means politically. 5) Last episode was still shit because there was still no legitimate reason for Arya to be such a dick head. 6) Littlefingers death was good but the build up was poor. Why did we get absolutely zero insight into what was going on with the Northern Lords? How much did they know about it? Were they talking to Sansa and littlefinger separately? Who the fuck knows? 7) All this hatred towards the female commentator is totally unfair, she adds diversity of opinion to what would otherwise be a pretty uniform narrative. I also like the fact she sounds stoned. Overall I think this season had some amazing scenes but some pretty weak episodes. Ended on a high. Gonna miss these reviews.
Agree with you on 7, mostly because I hope she isn't reading these comments about her. As to 6, I think the answers will come later. Even though Littlefinger is dead, I don't think we will see the last of his influence. He was obviously setting some plans in motion, and his death is going to have consequences. I want to know why he gave Bran the knife, which they later used as evidence of his crimes. Why did Littlefinger bring that knife back to Winterfell? I think we will find out next season :)
I think Jon and Daenerys do have chemistry. Don't let bias get in the way. The cave scene was full of tension. That was a huge. Also, the two were meant to be since season 1 according to GRRM so I don't know why people have such a problem with this
Josue Guillen Simple, if they get together, there is only to ways that is going to end: 1) Once the war is won in all fronts, Jon will go back to Winterfell once Dany takes the throne; or 2) Dany dies and Jon takes the throne to honor her and bring peace. There is no way they will end up together; after everything that Dany's been through to become queen, it will be cruel of the writers have her just be King Aegon Targaryen's wife. So that's why I didn't want them to get together; it's an unnecessary plot line. It would've been better for them to be two powerful allies and friends.
I really liked the theon scene. not evevryone in the show can be a paragon of cleverness and dedication to their cause (either good or bad). I like how theon balances parts of the cast, and im excited to see his redemption
I agree. We needed more extended moments like this. And combined with the following scene continuing to follow Theon, it was noticeably better pacing than we've gotten all season.
Read the last Daenerys chapter in a clash of kings, she talks to Jorah about her seeing Rheagar with his wife(unspecified which one) and she held his son and Rhaegar called him Aegon the prince that was promised, and Jorah comments that the vision meant nothing because his head was crushed. That just hints so much to why Jon's real name is Aegon!
Watching the whole series back to back it is much better than having to wait a week between episodes. The plot holes and weirdness that we dwelled upon during the season are much less noticeable and once you get use to the quicker pacing its a fairly solid season imo.
I would avoid including the green and purple ones in future. The green one didn't really do or say anything, and the purple one is too sarcastic and snide. The main two have a nice back-and-forth and enough charm and charisma to carry off their snarkiness. The green and purple ones just came across as a bit annoying and unnecessary. I much prefer the videos where it's just the blue and brown ones.
The worst part of the episode is Cersei telling Jaime to call the banners. She lost her army at the field of fire and before that she lost most of them to Robb Stark. The westerlands shouldnt have an army at this point and no house pledged to her has any men of arms left.
Juan Felipe Godoy Not really At the end of the war the westerlands had around 30,000 men left. Jaime took 10,000 to Highgarden and even if he lost every man in that army, he still has around 20,000 left.
Juan Felipe Godoy not really, it is clearly stated in spoils of war, that the army is stretched out in the colum, and that a part of it have made it to kings landing, so we only see a portion of the army fighting at that time. Also we don't know wether they deployed their entire army in the battle against high garden, and new soldiers can always be conscripted, there is 1 million people in Kings landing... bet one or two there is willing to take up arms for the promise of a coin
Juan Felipe Godoy I agree. Excellent performance from Heady and Dinklage but I'm still trying to figure out what Cersei has to offer that made this finale centerpiece even necessary. After Bot5K, Blackwater, battles in the Riverlands, FoF2, etc the Lannister army should be nearly depleted. Dany took back the Reach and it's not feasible that Cersei could wield control over Dorne, especially since they tend to be sympathetic to the Targaryens. Why would the Stormlands (Baratheon-land) want anything to do with Cersei. Dany has the Westerlands, the Vale, the North... relatively speaking, how is Cersei of any significant consequence now and with what resources? I thought the wight was going to be used to convince the Maesters at the Citadel and any relevant houses.
That whole part was a broad statement for the whole Stark Family, like the girls are more intelligent.. everybody added something from feelings and half truths
Qyburn is awesome. I love how he goes over and picks up the hand of the wight. He is clearly a learned man and VERY intrigued by what they have just seen.
Am I the only one that hates it when people say that Jon and Dany are ice and fire? I'm like no. Jon is ice and fire. Dany and Jon together are 3/4 fire and 1/4 ice.
It's not people referring to Jon & Dany as Ice & Fire. Even the show producers refer to them same way in their interviews. That's why Melisandre said she brought Ice & Fire together.
I have a theory about what Varys actually want. Ok so i'm gonna try to make this short, but basically (book spoiler) in the books "Aegon Targaryen" (Rhaegars child) is still alive, and there are theories that Varys might be trying to get him on the throne. Now he is obviously not gonna come into the show, but now that we know that Jon's name's Aegon, maybe they are gonna throw that theory in with Jon instead. What if Varys knew all along about the secret marrige, and the true identity of Jon/Aegon, and all this time he's been trying to get Jon on the throne? There are hints that there might be a spy for Cersei with Dany, what if he tried to sabotage their allies with the Tyrells and Martells and would make Dany and Jon meet each other? Idk if this would be true, or if it even makes sense, but it's a thing I've been thinking about.
I love you guys so adorable 😍 Cersei didn't kill tyrion obviously because she needs him to go back to the group and sell her deception. She had to put on that act to convince him. Plus she may have consoled herself with the thought of torturing him before killing him if she can just play out the game first and have time to enjoy her revenge
I think the reason tyrion is worried when Jon and Dany get together is because if Dany has a kid she would most likely have him or her sit the throne but tyrion obviously wants to "break the wheel".
What Lies Beneath The Weave i don't think tyrion is the type of person to stubbornly hold onto an idea i think he might doubt the fact that she says she can't have kids and considering how he brought up the nights watch (who votes for their new leader) he obviously doesnt want leadership to be passed down by blood. so if by chance dany does have a kid he'd be worried.
Amusement73 i didnt say he came up with the idea himself but he does support the idea and considering that he legit asks dany about how they'll achieve their goal he obviously wants to break the wheel.
I liked the Theon scene because I would think that being tortured to the max would be capable of taking way more damage than a regular guy. Hard times create tough men.
Lots of people are upset about the LF end, but I think it fits. There's a parallel between how LF begins and how he ends. In Season One he drags a Stark South, a land that Stark doesn't understand or know how to operate in, none of that Stark's normal tactics work, and the Stark dies. In Season Five he drags a Stark North. In a land that LF doesn't understand or know how to operate in, none of his normal tactics seem to work (he expects Ramsay and Roose to act like Southron power graspers, and miscalculates) and Littlefinger dies. Littlefinger the last two seasons is basically Stark in the first one. Lots of people seems to think that LF's death should have been some big, wide reaching, battle of wits, but that's not what Sansa's story is about. It's not her becoming another Cersei. If she had acted as underhanded and duplicitous and vengeful, it would have represented Sansa turning away from EVERYTHING that makes her a Stark, rather than learning to temper that Stark honor with some good old fashioned Southron pragmatism. Lots of people are upset that he went out like a chump, but of course he did! Sansa was his blind spot. He assumed the North was like the South, and if Sansa had set up this huge Southron scheme and stood over him monologue her huge plan, the Northern influence in events wouldn't have been present.
Great points about LF. There just are a lot of butt hurt LF Stans out there. He was a POS and I'm glad he died. I wanted him to die since he betrayed Ned in season 1.
I don't think Viserion's breath is either fire or ice. I think it's simply a projection of magic energy, akin to whatever the Night King uses. Similarly, wights can pass through the wall. hell, first season had wights raising while in Castle Black. It's my understanding that White Walkers are the only undead that can't get through the wall. Also, what the fuck happened to Bronn and Pod?
I soooooo love this channels GOT reviews super unique and very entertaining, the banter and different views on each episode AMAZING. I usually watch more than once!! Keep the content coming much 💛💛💛
I love this channel and everything you guys talk about. Honestly should be at 1 Million subs, more people need to know of you guys especially GoT fans.
So far I haven't seen much / any of the purple girl hated at all... but rather all I have seen is ppl posting / reacting *TO* the Purple Girl hatred. Not deny it is not there... but its shocking since when I first watched this video (back when it first got uploaded), there wasn't this torrent of hatred towards her
Ellie Dannie And she seems to forget that SHE was the one who gave them power... "I don't distrust you because you'r a woman. I distrust you, because you'r not as clever as you think."
Ida Säntti That's true. I think she expected Tommen to come to her defense when she too was taken prisoner, but instead he took a passive approach to her imprisonment which gave the Faith that much more power. Ultimately Tyrion is to be blamed for all the bad things more or less (in Cersei's eyes) and is never to be given credit for anything good, like the Battle of the Blackwater. :/
23:00, perfectly said! For fuck's sake, it took soooo long for me to find someone to agree with what I've been saying since the 'longing loos' in the third/fourth episode...
Hound: taps on box, Wight goes nuts. Brings it outside, it doesn't move, takes the pins out, it doesn't move, takes the lid off, it doesn't move, kicks the box over, ohh it moves.
Dany: "I can't have children."
Jon: "Hold my beer."
Suzy VanderGheynst-Karagosian
😂
Give me ten good men and some climbing spikes, i'll impregnate the bitch
Suzy VanderGheynst-Karagosian Jon accepted that challenge.
Suzy VanderGheynst-Karagosian I don't drink BEER!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Hands Tyrion the beer.)
White Walker: "Your grace, Petyr Baelish is dead!"
Night King: "Great, it's finally safe to invade Westeros then!"
CupCops It'd probably go more like this -
White Walker: ....
Night King: ......
CupCops OMG! Was Littlefinger the true prince who was promised and they just killed him?! Lol I love it!
[Staring intensifies]
All they really want is for Hot Pie to cook them dinner, but that damn wall kept them away from the tavern.
White Walker #1: *random screeching*
Night King: *even louder random screeching*
White Walker #2: *yodelling*
25:50 "Maybe he'll kill her..."
Nailed it
and they laughed!
My favourite scene:
When Jaime left Cersei.
кιмσиє Amen. At this point you could see the little bits of Jaime's honor starting to win out and Cersei's madness being laid bare for all to see
Why all women like such predictable patterns , like love john kill cercei rlly
Yes, and then the snow starting to fall over King's Landing... man the music and visuals were just on point.
Yeah, that was also my favourite scene, because I really thought he could die there.
My favorite scene is when jaime put his golden hand in his gloves while going north, meaning is not the hand's queen anymore
That's like asking how an undead dragon with shredded wings can still maintain itself in the air. As for the fire, it's just undead fire cause it died
I actually loved the Theon/Jon scene. I figured that Theon struggling with what family he belongs to and Jon saying he can be part of both is forshadowing, since Jon is in the same position, being half Stark, half Targaryen, though he doesn't know it yet.
Bran is basically just the only person that has google... he doesn't actually know everything, but he can do a search if he knows what he's looking for
Alex Black Google is evil. Bran uses DuckDuckGo.
ComradeSlice Well since Bran is the night king. Wouldn't google be his choice tool 😂
Alex Black thanks for the simple name and you nailed the head on the hammer.
Stop with the "Bran is the NK."
Its stupid.
To those who think two years waiting is bad for next season I say this:
Oh my sweet summer child.
Waiting? wait for the books.
One can only hope because I promise you friend, Winter is coming..
OMG priceless:-) best comment ever!
Thank you friend, now bend the knee my lord..
“He’s gonna kill her.”
*everyone laughs*
“fULLfiLL tHe pRopHEcy”
no one tell them.
It hurts knowing how hopeful they were lmao
Yeah hearing that post season 8 is actually pretty crazy lol
The most wild part of this is hearing how hopeful people were
😂😂😂😂
I just rewatched the series and was listening to these. Had to check the comments to make sure somebody made this joke after I heard that!
I did think you still have a bladder. Somebody kneeing you there is still going to hurt.
I see your point though about Ramsays abuse of Theon I did take that to be the general gist of the scene too.
Jon's name being Jon. Ned pretty much named all his kids after people who were close to him. Jon and Jon arryn, Robb and Robert baratheon, bran and Brandon Stark. It's something you can piece together from the first book. Come on guys
"It seemed like they cured Jorah of greyscale so he could have awkward moments watching Jon and Daenerys" I DIED 😂😂😂
Ned named his kids after important people in his life
Jon Snow is named after Jon Arryn
Robb Stark is named after Robert Baratheon
Bran Stark is named after Brandon Stark (Ned's Brother)
Rickon Stark is named after Rickard Stark (Ned's Father)
UA-cam Hero what about his daughters
There was an Arya Flint who married into the Stark family. She was Ned's Grandmother. I don't think she was that significant but hey. Sansa is an old stark name.
sansa and arya are both northern / stark names. if you look at the stark family tree, there were quite a few sansas and aryas.
Good catch that totally makes sense to me:)
+Gabriel Lawless ;)
Best scene to me was the look Jamie gave to Cercei when she ordered the Mountain to kill him. For some reason that was a very powerful to me, with the music and the shakiness in his face. I was convinced that was the end for him
16:56
My takeaway wasn't "I don't have a Dick, therefore I'm immune", but more "I survived Ramsey Bolton, my pain tolerance is high, boy"
Fewer
H B O what?
Four _fewer_ fingernails to clean
Yeah that makes a lot of sense but surely the punches in general shouldn't hurt
If Cercie dies in childbirth does that count as Jaime killing her?
Yes, in a metaphorical way.
Mike D No are u stupid
john lenon does somebody want to explain to john how a baby is made? Explaining shit to children with darth Vader avatars just isn't my thing.
Imagine Cersei dying during childbirth... and last thing she sees, is her newborn being dwarf....
I would shit myself laughing if that happened.
:(
Steve Sherman More like poor ass writing
Seriously did you actually think that the Stark women would marry a friggin' brothel owner? In the long term, WHY did you want to own brothels? Bad move!
Question how did u not see that coming
Hey... are u dead? Did they burn your body? If not u may be join the army of dead...
I think book Littlefinger will take completely different actions and has entirely different motives. I never believed that Baelish even wanted the Iron Throne or loved Sansa. If the book version of Baelish matches the TV version, then I guess I'm just disappointed. We shall see.
“Blue fire is hotter”
“Is that confirmed?”
“It’s science”
“Oh”
I’m dead 😂
Tormund should of died 4 episodes ago??! What??! He needs to have monster baby's with brie!! He has plenty to do... 😂
9:04 Robb was honorable? He broke is oath to Walder which in turn got him killed. It was his dishonor that lead to his death. Still loved the character though
@steve sherman True!
THE MOST IMPORTANT meet up is going to be Jaime and Bran
John Goulart lol he's going to be like no legs who dis
The Jaime and Brienne interaction was A1. The "fuck loyalty" line was perfect
Wow, that's a really good shout on the symbolism of Littlefinger's death :D
True, that would have sealed it if Cersei died. But Lena is a main character and they would need to have something for her to force in season 8. Varys as well,But Littlefinger started the present war.
I agree.. it's no longer a game of thrones..it is more like "ice zombies Vs dragons"...
But yet you can feel the spirit of the show " in the great war you win or you die, there is no middle ground"
the game was my favorite part the show
The Chick sounds so baked. "No man, that's like an actual science thing."
D'Squarius Washingbeard 😂😂😂
D'Squarius Washingbeard she's fucking awful and has no place talking on anything.
D'Squarius Washingbeard your Beetlejuice sigil... let me join your House an fly your banners!!!!
Woah, y'all chill. They need the female perspective and hipster slang she brings to the table! Lol
gtrslinger THANK YOU !!!! That's what I've been saying. She is just a token chick :( they ruined the last review of the season because they let her on. :/
I hate that we finally get a Rhaegar and Lyanna flashback and it's a 5 second scene of some guy wearing that ratty Vicerys wig from season 1... 😑
Sacrosby103 you mean that hairstyle Viserys stole from his idle that he glorified? Of course they have the same hair
i found it trite too. OK, so it made it easier to see the family resemblance we know, but the platinum colour makes the connection anyway. Rhaegar has longer hair in any portrayal of him ive seen or imagined
Sacrosby103
Fire that casting agent😁
okay but all the drawings and histories that Martin wrote had him with longer hair
Sacrosby103 facts forreal
The Hound's biggest issue is that he is a decent man born into an indecent life. That's why he has "sad eyes", as Tormund observed in E6.
Good job, NS! Love your episode breakdowns.
Only reason Bronn and podrick left is the actor and actress who plays Bron and Cersei were married and divorced in real life and had it so they have 0 scenes together. edit.. o u guys say it like 30 seconds later lol
Disko H nah, they were never married, just a relationship that ended badly
I think there is like one scene in season 3 where Cersei walks past Bronn. That's the closest they've come to doing a scene together lol
Oh shit, I totally forgot about that. Those crazy kids.
joe haley Considering Lena Headey and Jerome Flynn hate each other's guts it doesn't surprise me.
That is so childish
James Sinn Yes, the Starks are acting as one, like a wolf pack working together.
Jojo Aljarallah what did u need explained?
It's still pile of shit.
Your voice sounds like Brian Griffin.
Tom !!! Ha! I knew it sounded familiar but couldn't place it. You nailed it!
Maybe that's why I like it so much hahaha
"Maybe he'll kill her."
*everyone laughs
Well...
The laughing got me
The point of the game between Sansa and Littlefinger is so Sansa would realise he was playing her and Arya off against each other.
Skyler Wittman he has to willingly look for what he wants not just know it for no reason
Exactly. Eddard also lied in his confession. Then he died.
Eddard lied to not break his oath to lyanna so you could argue that his lies were honorable.
Not 100% noble. Broke his nights watch vows. But he payed for that with his life.
@@NoahG24
He didn't break his vows, the NW vows don't say anything about sleeping with someone, as Sam points out and he only left after he was killed.
Ned didn't lie he honored his promise made to Lyanna that was to protect Jon
I hate how everyone complains about the Theon fight scene. After what Ramsay did to him, he doesn’t feel pain like normal people does...
BigAdamx Yea, after Ramsay that was child's play
I loved the Theon scenes! I want to see him redeem himself and be brave for once in his life and it looks like he's going to.
Also, who knows what Ramsay did to that area. He might have burned the area to stem infection or something. Those nerve endings have to be beyond dead. It's like when the Hound and Brienne fought and he kicked her in the crotch and she felt it, she wasn't mutilated down there!
I need Arya to wear Littlefinger's face
Cameron Stacy I know but I love Aidan Gillen in the role
i never understood how she got taller tho...
@@sgx9874 Magic woooOOOoooooo SpOOoOkyyy
Darklustmoonchild, oke, agreed. I shouldn't have made the assumptions regarding her personal life public. I should have kept them all to myself.
She was so dumb and annoying. She shouldn't in these conversations.
NERD SOUP I wish you good fortune in the videos to come...
You've just allowed them to die!!!
What have i done I've doomed them! I made a terrible mistake, but the freedom to make my own mistakes is all i've ever wanted..
Man that Undead Dragon is FU*KING nice
I'm so hyped for Season 8
Jibril I hope that hype can be sustained for two fucking years lol
pwnigator right
Rewatch the series to get the hype back:)
A lion doesn’t concern himself with the opinion of sheep
I hope my Tormund is ok 👌
dormund is dead
Cyndi sammy he is, you see them outrun the first collapse, and I'm pretty sure they would have ample time to get clear of the major one.
In any case, they are fine, if you don't count the fact that they now are on the wrong side of the army of the dead and any reinforcements
Slarti Fast they're still on top of a wall, unless the wight giants start chucking undead missiles on to the wall they're reasonably safe.
The Lord of Light didn't revive Beric 7 or however many times just to have him die that way, so if he's okay then Tormund should be as well
Mitchell Kelly undead giant spiders can climb ice walls I hear
Jon did the right thing, he's the only one actually trying to break the wheel, the only one who doesnt want to be king and will become a good king
Lewis Aldridge AGREED! "Honesty" and integrity is how one "breaks the wheel." That's gonna pay off later.
there are many comments, so this was probably already said, but to add another layer to Ned naming him Jon Snow - Ned has always said that Jon Arryn raised him as though he was own father, even though he wasn't his real father.
She didn't kill him because it was in her interest not to.
fyreflye100 same goes for ned really, he backed out of his claims and still got killed.
Gjergj Camaj ay
fyreflye100 Cat was really responsible for both deaths. Ned's for telling him to trust littlefinger, taking Tyrion and then freeing Tyrion. Rob's for demanding to do the negotiation with Frey, letting Jaime go and telling him not to trust Theon, by this point doing the opposite of what she suggested seemed like a good idea.
Comes out of no where: he’s gonna kill her
Everyone else: scoffs and laughs
Jaime goes north. Bran tells Jon and company that he pushed Bran out of the window. Arya kills Jaime and takes his face. Arya and the Hound ride south to confront Cersei and the Mountain. Arya wears Jaime's face bringing the Hound or someone else as a prisoner. The Hound fights and kills the Mountain, and Arya strangles Cersei.
I don't think this is that great of an idea, but I bet my left ovary and my right testicle that D&D will do this plot word for word, more or less.
Goku sounds totally plausible
+Steve Sherman You, like me, are hoping that Tormund is still alive.
The plot leak wasn't real. The guy who posted it admitted it was his fan fiction. I don't think that any of that will happen.
+Pearl the whole season was very bad fan fiction...
That “maybe he’ll kill her” at 25:53 hits different now😬
I think Sansa was not on to Little fingers tricks until he tried to convince her that Arya wanted to be Lady of Winterfell. Even Sansa knew Arya never wanted that... So then she went to Arya and they went to Bran, and he confirmed it all.. Wish it was on screen though
Joanna, I think that's when Sansa decided to kill him.
You guys are fun and it kinda feels like talking about the shows with some friends 👍
Show*
Yasser Hader you can edit your comment 🙄
-What do think they'll name the baby?
>Aegon
😂😂 IM DEAD 💀💗😹
If Jon and Danny have a baby it will 100% be named Eddard
EDIT: what if Cersei names her baby Tywin, so the next generation of Targaryen/Stark and Lannister sort of repeats itself, it would be absolute fan service but it might happen.
Tuckey Videos 😢omg
Last time they named a baby after Ned, it didn't go so well.
in the books, sansa says she would name her child robb and after her brothers.
Tuckey Videos Ned! Ned! Ned!
Then it's already 100% dead.
To be fair, Robb wasn't honorable either. He made a promise to marry a Frey and went back on his word.
To quote the great Tywin Lannister, "Explain to me why it is more noble to kill 10,000 men in battle than a dozen at dinner."
25:51
*dab*
I love how they all laughed when she said "what if he kills her", knowing now that's exactly what happens.
And it’s worth fighting for."
Anyway, I think it worked nicely.
I agree so much with this! I don't see how people hate them but love the less interesting story of him and Ygritte, I get she was his first love but she wasn't trying to help the innocent, she killed them ! lol (except baby sam n gilly)
Catarina if she's pregnant Jon will marry her so the baby won't be a bastard
Jay C sooo....? An unhappy marriage? The north and the faith could also renounce him for the incest part. Huh, that might actually be the "bittersweet" ending George was talking about.
Prince Sheogorath unhappy why if he likes her 🤔 because it's incest? All their ancestors did it and everyone knew about it
Jay C ... because Jon's a northerner? And Incest is a BIG no no for them? And also because he would be forced into marriage because of the baby, that's NOT a healthy or satisfying relationship.
I love how the animations in the video give it a more podcast feel. I love the more in-depth analysis that so many GoT UA-cams lack, keep it up!!
Lokiago cersie is the one who killed tommen w her half ass attemot to have the high sparrow carry out her dirty deeds,it turned on her in more ways than 1
I agree, it seemed like Cersei was stretching to try and pick a fight. If anything, she was responsible for Tommen's death.
Cersei was responsible for the death of tommen. Plain and simple. If she was there to coddle that pussy when margaery died he wouldn't have jumped.
I don't get it either.
Heres my shot at the ending giveaway:
1: Turtle
2: Purple girl
3: Blue that's in every video
4: White man on your youtube banner
5: Monkey with classy bow tie
Thanks for doing this and my bad for the lack of name knowledge lmao
I like how she says Jon's gonna kill Dany and they all have a good laugh.. little did they know it was actually gonna happen in season 8
Caelan Curry what if..... there are white walker cities
Michael Czylok the chains were most likely from hardhome. They are chains used for ships and there was an entire fleet there
yeah, that's what I'm getting at.
I think Cerci is going to give birth to a dwarf.
Lol I hope
Hessed3712 lol no
I'm pissed that they named him Aegon SERIOUSLY! Jaehaerys would have been much better, plus it would fit better with Ned naming him Jon.
Owen Willicome 100% don't know why they gave him a name that was given by 100 people in the history Game of Thrones mean seriously there was so many Aegon Jaehaerys would have been a thousand times better
Owen Willicome John snow is a much more popular name because every northern bastard is has the family name snow. Jon is a common name too
Noah Hansen and its inconspicuous. Who would bat an eye at Ned returning from the war with a bastard named Jon Snow?
All I'm saying is I'm sick of all the Aegons, and I really wanted his name to be Jaehaerys.
Even Aemon would have been better
... there are so many characters named after their fathers or grandfathers why does it even matter? they've actaully changed characters in the shows to different names so it would be less confusing... people complain about changing a characters name or when they have the same name... lmao
Ok just a few things I need to get of my chest:
1) I thought the Theon/Jon scene was brilliant, they obviously had to have a proper conversation after everything that went down.
Fred Diamond agree with you in everything except that purple thing she was annoying the whole review
Fred Diamond diversity is not synonymous with good no matter what your women's studies professor told you
Fred Diamond I agree, but I don't think that having one out of character moment ruined the whole of last episode. It was bad, but now THAT bad.
Christopher Geschke I'm not talking about diversity.
can we admit that Jon Snow's new dragonglass bowie knife is badass as fuck
I'm just happy my boy Theon got more than 3 seconds of screen time
Cai how is he not dead yet after everything
Cai the actor for theon is amazing
Cai and a good scene with cool music
Cai ...the scene between him and Jon made me tear up. 😢
That scene when he collapses on the beach was beautiful!
How could you say that the scene between Jon and Theon was bad? That was one of the best scenes of the whole season!
I agree. We needed more extended moments like this. And combined with the following scene continuing to follow Theon, it was noticeably better pacing than we've gotten all season.
guess we won't be getting giant ice spiders, would've been cooler if giant ice spiders took down a dragon
Sam Fellows agreed completely
The purple one=annoying
Robb stark honorable? He broke his promise to Walder and that caused his own death.
Fede Rico i just find robb stark as stupid! just stupid!
Fully agree
Fede Rico what about Brienne? She's honorable
Martin hill remember the speech that aemon gave to jon about choosing between duty and love, well robb's choice was very clear
Don't Open Dead Inside You're not. It irks me too! I'm cool with referring to them by their animal metaphors. Jon alone is ice and fire.
1cup coffee with 1tbs cream is still coffee and cream....3/4 fire and 1/4 ice is still fire and ice. You are hating semantics.
It's not people referring to Jon & Dany as Ice & Fire. Even the show producers refer to them same way in their interviews. That's why Melisandre said she brought Ice & Fire together.
THIS!
Varys Blackfyre
+Amusement73 probably true, I just thought it would be cool if they do this.
I love you guys so adorable 😍
Cersei didn't kill tyrion obviously because she needs him to go back to the group and sell her deception. She had to put on that act to convince him. Plus she may have consoled herself with the thought of torturing him before killing him if she can just play out the game first and have time to enjoy her revenge
I think the reason tyrion is worried when Jon and Dany get together is because if Dany has a kid she would most likely have him or her sit the throne but tyrion obviously wants to "break the wheel".
sir awesomeness You're Way off. He has bought into the idea that Dany can't have kids. (He cut a deal with Cersei)
Yup, great scene. Theon and Jaime are the two redemption arcs I want to see. Too bad he's going to look for Yara in the wrong place. =(
Lots of people are upset about the LF end, but I think it fits.
Music is far better In the books !
You thank you......XD
Girishlaheja.
The bear and the lady fair is grammy worthy😉
are u STUPID!?!?! how can hear music in book!? CANNOT!!!
😂 someone doesn't get the joke
We should've get more Bran Flashbacks!!!!!
I had no issue with the purple girl. I am surprised that the comment section hates her so much.
She is gorgeous! =D
So far I haven't seen much / any of the purple girl hated at all... but rather all I have seen is ppl posting / reacting *TO* the Purple Girl hatred. Not deny it is not there... but its shocking since when I first watched this video (back when it first got uploaded), there wasn't this torrent of hatred towards her
Never underestimate Fan Dumb.
How is Tyrion responsible for Tommen's death? This was all Cersei's doing.
Pfannkuchenwissenschaftler She believes the Faith Militant never would've been a thing had Tywin not been killed. Tommen was weak and Tywin wasn't.
Ignored all the other reviews on youtube just to wait two days for this one..finally :D
23:00, perfectly said! For fuck's sake, it took soooo long for me to find someone to agree with what I've been saying since the 'longing loos' in the third/fourth episode...
