Nice video. I was torn between choosing Lasfit or Auxbeam. Went with Auxbeam F16+ since they had a special holiday combo for both H11 and 9005 for less than a $100 for all 4 lights couldn't pass it up. Cant wait to install them since I already did the Diode Dynamics LED C light. Cheers!
Go Auxbeam. I think they are brighter. Im gonna be getting Auxbeam for sure pretty soon
I know this was 5 years ago.
But I’m glad Lasfit move on to better appropriate high quality led bulbs.
Everything of these led bulbs that 5 years ago is fine.
But the headspace between the led chips is a bit larger, and the led chips themselves are bad. Those are COB.
Glad they moved on so well and so fast to improve.
Now with thin space to create an excellent beam pattern, with automotive grade led flip chips.
They are much better. With perfect beam pattern and less glare above the cut off.
I have 2019 premium and it definitely has halogens. And I can remove it also so I’m considering these as an up grade. I live in East Texas so when the storms are coming it’s next to impossible to see with no street lights
It's amazing,for how inexpensive these lights are, that they didn't come from the factory that way.

A lot of these LED inexpensive bulbs on Amazon and eBay all come from China. Not to say that there are not some quality variants from China out there but a lot of them are inferior quality. I’ve had good results from Hikari, which is also a brand listed frequently on Amazon. They have excellent reviews on UA-cam as well.

Yeah i dont understand like all the other cars, outback, crosstrek, legacy they all have like working C lights. I mean they are still not as good as the diode dynamic c lights but like all the other cars still got LEDs on them but they left the wrx kinda behind.
Blue STI the diode dynamics c light is the way to go and pretty easy install with the help of some UA-cam videos

How are these in the Rain??? I had a chevy cruze and i installed LED bulbs. They were bright but driving in the rain was horrible

Yeah it still says from the lasfit store. They might have changed the name for the specific ones but they are the same or better if they upgrade them
My question is when you swap these out, for the DRL’s does it just blind everyone as you go by during the day? I’m curious before I do the swap. Thanks!
Yes they do lol. You can either turn your headlight on all the time or unplug the DLRs so they are not on
How difficult is it to remove the air box? Nice video by the way. I think the Supernova LED V4 bulbs are better than your LED bulbs.
I believe it's only 2 bolts to get that part off the air box . Never heard of supernova led but i will check it out.
They look great! Its 10/2020 now. Are the LED's still going strong or did you have to replace them after a year or less? I'm looking into getting a base 2020 WRX myself.
The low beams have held up this whole time, i have one highbeam that burned out or something, needs to be replaced. But lowbeams are still nice and bright and i usually always have them on because i like my f1 light to be on

I have a question I have a 2009 Impreza BASE MODEL& I’m wondering if I buy these will my DRLS be HID like these ???
As long as the bulb size is the same which I believe it is, it would be the same and they are LEDs not HIDs

Not yet, have the c lights almost a year in the box and havent changed them but its coming soon since its end of the racing season

Hey .. nice video and very helpful. I purchased a pair. I have a question. My lights seem to flicker every once in a while. It does not do it all the time.
Does that happen with yours ?

Never had them flicker. Make sure the plug is fully seated in and not lose or more than likely its an LED that is about to be dead
ARomanRacing thanks for responding so quickly. I’ll check it out .. the bulbs are new and the connection is good. It’s not so much flickering but more like pulsating.. kinda like power fluctuations if that makes any sense. Thanks again
@@PeterW2733 oh is it only your headlights? Does any other light do that? Pay attention to other lights, it could be battery or alternator. You saying both headlights are doing it?

So the Day time Running lights are on High beam all the time. The halogen 9005s dim for day time running.
Yes they do, but who are you really going to blind during the day lol
@@ARomanRacing... It's not about blinding, but instead very uncomfortable glare. Ever try looking at an Audi with rear fogs 9n during the day (let alone on a clear night); very uncomfortable...
How are they holding up? Any flickering? I have a set of Auxbeams and they’re already flickering on me after 3 months =/
Not a problem so far. I actually prefer the auxbeams that i have on the STI. Never changed them and they are brighter than these ones
Those high beams were either not in all the way or they are terrible quality. Barely noticed a difference ...almost appeared to be pointing at the ground Try the Auxbeam 9005. Much brighter - just make sure you seal them good to prevent moisture
I do have auxbean on my STI and they are definitely brighter. These ones are still bright but i have noticed not as bright. Maybe you need to adjust the angle of the bulb. There is a screw on the bulb and it lets you to turn the bulb
... The leds are not a 360* filament/point source and you get shadows; so im not totally sold on leds as a replacement for halogens. Those highbeams looked meh, but 50' in front of the car was nice and bright. Did you measure/compare beam patterns with the car 25' from a wall?

Just wonder after you have changed them, does the car has any light signal goes wrong?
I know what you mean but no, not on the WRX. Its possible the LED is not putting enough voltage and the car thinks the light is out. If thats what you mean

They worked on mine fine, unless you have some limited headlights with the LEDs already integrated

Auxbeam, if you look at my older videos for LED headlights, the brand will be Auxbeam. They are so much brighter and better

@@Mk7Albert yes, after running lasfit for a long time, i went back to Auxbeam cause i needed more brightness and Auxbeam is very very bright

Did you need a decoder?
For the bulbs? No. Never heard this in the subaru world lol
Well I ordered leds from lasfit and they do not saying anything about a decoder. But if you click on your link for the low beams you have, it says something about a built in decoder. So I’m just paranoid that the ones I ordered will throw a code.
@@lukeb347 not that ive seen for my WRX, low beams or high beams or even high beams for the STI. This could mean for other type of cars that are more technological on their lights but atleaat for 2017 and 2019, no problems there
Does it void electrical warranty if anything happens?
Bulbs or any light is not covered under warranty. If something else electrical happens it will not because of the bulb

No void but if you get moisture in your headlight you have to fix it because the dealer will see you changed the bulbs
so I have a 2019 STI im not able to put these into my car correct?
Thats because you have a sealed headlight. The STI already has LEDs inside that you will never be able to change unless you buy a while new headlight.

@@slye24 yes just make sure its base models. The limited ones come with the same headlights as STI and it already has like intergrated LEDs. If your lights are like yellow, you can change them

I am not sure if for low beams it will. You have to check and see if you already have the led low beam, if you do you are not gonna be able to change low beams, only high beams

@@antonyleung2687 your daytime running lights are basically the highbeams but in like a lower voltage. Once you change them to leds they will be brighter but it be during the day so who are you really going to blind lol

@@josemarin2558 STI already comes with low beam LEDs that you cannot change, but the high beams are Auxbeams and never changed those either

@@johnlongacre5015 if yours already comes with the LED lights, you can only change the high beams. Unless they have changed it now to have integrated LEDs

Yes as long as you have the base model. The one with chrome headlights. If you have the ones that are black on the inside, those already come with LED low beams. Only the high beams would work there
