thanks for the video man i bought the same light but all the other videos they don’t show how to wire it up they all used the plug n play harness so this helps

ARomanRacing hey man i tapped the green to the black with the white and the red to the brown and black to black but it doesn’t work
@@saigoneze4746 make sure your lights are on, thats the only way it will turn on. Did you use quick release taps? If so flip the green and red and see if it works. Sometimes the wires are not correct from the manufacturer
The red and brown control the strobe
The green and black with white strip is the power

That woulda made my OCD go nuts because it doesn't match the tail lights.

Did you splice it into the harness or use the plug and play harness?
if you do it this way, it only blinks when your low beam is on. without the low beam, when you brake, the light wont come on at all
...you can connect this light 3 ways....1) green + black (only on with running lights; 2) red + black (only on with brakes); 3) all three as shown in the video ...however, when this particular F1 light is on, it appears to be a max brightness and not dimmed, so it is difficult to tell btwn running light mode and brake light mode. If it were me, I would leave the brake wire (red) disconnected and only have the light function as a rear fog light

I think if you leave the green cable unplugged it will disable blinking. If not, one of the cables would. One is ground and other one is power. So it should be constant

Hi can you explain a little more on the wiring I have trouble with this, looking at the kit I can see you feed the wire from the light through but there’s a hole do you feed the wire through that as well? Did you expose the wire when you fed it ?
I didnt exposed it till i ran the wire through, there is like a rubber grommet in the middle part of the trunk, i fed it through there and than tan it to the tail light and then i exposed the wires to tap into.
are you having an issue with your radio resetting your preset stations? I have a 2019 as well.
Well i dont use regular radio lol I go straight to my spotify, I wouldnt know yet 🤣
Juan, do you use the seat presets? Not sure if the car even has it, but my Ram has the memory buttons for different drivers. It also remembers my saved stations. But if I don't respond save it after I set my stations and my gf in gets in to drive it, and pushes her setting button it will go to her settings and delete everything that I didn't save. Hope this makes sense.
Hoping to get some help from you man. I have a 2012 Impreza sedan.
I got this light from a friend, it has 3 wires just like in your video. I had to rewire these wires cause they were two short. This works fine. The issue arises when I tried to wire the light to my right tail light bulb. It’s just blew my bulb. After watching your video I realized what I did wrong. However I am not entirely sure where to splice and make the connection. Do I splice the stock tail light harness ? If so would I have same issue with my bulb as last time?
I would splice the wire on the car and not the tailight but if there is a short somewhere it sill still blow therr bulb. Maybe try led bulb , should last alot longer

Absolutely, dont think 2020 has changed the rear bumper. If it has the cut out in the back then its all the same still so it will work

Do you know how to set it up as a fog light (dimmed brake light) but also working as a brake light?
So this fog is not setup to be dimmed like a regular brake light. Subispeed does sell one that does that but it does cost more money.

Also what would happens if i tapped into the ground, the brake light and the tail light, would the brake light overruns the tail light making it fully glow like if i was stomping onto the brake? Because i could buy a dual intensity led and put an extra wire from my fog to the wire bundle..
@@Love_is_the.answer i am not sure. I havent owned a dual density f1 light. It should come with instructions and it should tell you which wires to tap into

Does your light have the reverse light? If it does then one of those wires would go to the reverse wire which unfortunately i dont know which one it is

I dont think so. If you dont have the hole then it will not fit. Pretty sure these are made specifically for Subarus
ARomanRacing I’ve seen them for 370z someone told me I have to cut out a hole for my bumper and make it fit and all that stuff it’s possible isn’t it?
@@kinglui374 so this one will have the bracket for it on the bumper. I mean you can cut and make it yourself if you want to just dont think its made for it. Like you don't have the hole perfect for it
It is it llegal to have the f1 break light flashing?
In reality there is not a real traffic law that says it is illegal. There is some officers that I have heard that might interpret some of the traffic law with the flashing red light as "emergency light" like for the ambulances but that be easy win at court cause it pertains to police lights and not the red lights like ambulances and fire trucks. Ive hear it once or twice but I see having no problem with it
... My dealer sells a module (and has a display) the flashes the 3rd brake light. Motorcycles have flashing brake lights (and some have pulsing headlights). IF and only IF your light is on the back and acts as a brake light, you should, in theory, be ok. Red underglow not so much, but a flashing brake light should be fine. How often is a LEO behind you? If the answer is often, then you are doing something else wrong.
So, you used the taps you said not to use, as their success rate was spotty...sometimes it pays to not be thrifty.
Better taps can be bought online for super cheap, still cheaper than buying a 200 dollar one 🤷♂️
It’s only doing strobe it’s not doing break
For this one it only does the strobe, does not do the brake. BUT i found one cheaper that does the strobe and brake. Also it turns on while lights are off too
