I tried to read up a bit and it seems most studies say static stretching **immediately before athletic performance** can reduce strength for that performance, but static stretching in general is associated with improved strength and reduced injury risk. All sports teams have individual use dynamic stretching as a warm up bc of the concepts I conveyed here. I'll have to look deeper into your claims are re-evaluate. I do appreciate your comment.
