Better call Saul best moments. Breaking bad best moments.

I'm sure learning the song was the hardest lines that he had to learn, LOL.
The periodic table song, not Major Tom, that song was a joy to sing.
Nah bro he already know chemistry
took me like a month to learn it all last year lol
Lol all he has to do is sing along in his headphones... that sound we here is probably added in post production

Walt did not ever really want Gale as a lab assistant..... Walt needed Jessie so he could feel superior.
I think you missed the point, gale was walt and jessies replacement, if had gale learned what walt had to teach then fring would have no reason to keep walt or jessie alive. its not as petty as who the assistant is

@The Horny Vegan's Little Brother for real though, it’s regulated and completely legal! I have a feeling Walter could still get pretty cutthroat as a businessman. I would watch that.
@The Horny Vegan's Little Brother I’m glad to finally meet someone who has also thought this idea out far enough. I do feel that this would be Walters biggest roadblock to freedom. He would have to make an extremely compelling case in order to win Gus’s approval. He would additionally have to ensure that the new cooks would be able to carry out the blue sky recipe to a tee. Remember this isn’t primarily about money for Gus, its about revenge. So Gus is highly motivated to fulfill his plot against Don Eladio. He would either give Walter carte blanche to start his coffee business, or use that as a reward for Walt if he finishes his work as a meth cook.
So, here’s a question- do you think Walt would make coffee under the Los Pollos Hermanos brand, or would He set off on a completely new business venture with Gale?
Gale has some of the hardest lines to learn holy shit
Yes he should have been paid a million for learning that song.

Killing Gale is like killing a labrador puppy 😑 Even Viktor was really upset.
but killing a puppy is fun
Viktor with a "K"? Was Giselle upset as well?
victor was in charge of Gale's protection. he was upset because he failed and that's why he was killed by gus.

Imagine the feeling going through walt’s head when they’re laughing at Gale. His innocence being exploited and how Walt was single handedly responsible for his demise. Putting Jesse through intense trauma
I haven't watched the show, but watched hella clips so I know what's going on. That expression on Walt's face shows guilt sure but I think he's also angry. At that point by what Hank is saying, Gale has been framed as Heisenberg and now the Heisenberg name is being laughed at. For someone as petty as Walt who's this far into this drug world bc of the feeling of power it gives him, I think him seeing it being ridiculed like that pissed him off more than anything.

He didnt need to die but Gus showed Walt his hand, made it pretty obvious that Gale was gonna use Walt's method. If Gus had been more careful and patient, they could have ambushed Walt when he least expected it.
He needed to die. With him dead gus cant get rid of either walt or jessie. Gale needed to die for them to live

Viktor was upset because it was his job to keep Gale safe. He was worried Gus would be mad, and lol I think it’s safe to say he was.
The scene @ 5:45 could have easily seemed silly, but was really very chilling.
the fact that hank is laughing because to him, Gale is just another evil criminal, but Walt whos actually inside the criminal business knows that these people arent just evil monsters (except gus, todd, lalo etc) They are people. And Gale was kinda like a best friend to Walt for a while. He knows Gale was the nicest guy ever, and not only does he feel bad for gales death, not only does he feel angry that they are laughing at him but he also feels bad because they are laughing at the heisenburg name and the meth industry as a whole.
If only Walt had continued to work with Gale, he could've made huge amounts of money without the risk of getting caught, he could've given that money to his family and died peacefully
Like Mike said "if you’d known your place, we’d all be fine right now!"
😑 Walters enormous ego took away everything. Walt never gave his family security. He lost everything.
Yeah but stupid Jesse had to blew everything when he tried to kill the drug dealers that worked for Gus. It was only a 3 months cook and then everyone could live relatively very well with Walt having enough money for the family, Gus working peacefully on killing the salamancas, Saul continuing his lawyer stuff, and even Jesse could have enough money to start a new life.
all because hank decided to assault jesse
No wtf.

As much of a loveable goof Gale is in Better call Saul and Breaking Bad, he was in a dirty, dirty business......he had it coming. You play with fire, you get burned.

I find that part hilarious all because of the shirt Jesse is wearing lol
I actually liked Gale, his energy was great.. I think Walt liked him, but at the time felt loyalty to Jessie was more important longterm..
It wasn’t about loyalty imo. Walt was a narcissist, and Gale was his equal. He had an innate need to feel superior to those around him, and he just couldn’t do that with someone as educated and brilliant as Gale, whereas he easily could with Jesse.
@@markf.9396 so nothing to do with the fact that once gale knew the formula etc Gus would of killed Walt & Jessie.
@@themagpie_1 Well obviously that played a huge part in his decision to ultimately kill Gale. But I was referring to why, despite clearly having much more in common with Gale, Walt actually preferred working with Jesse.
@@themagpie_1 Gus wasn't originally going to kill Walt. He only wanted to do that after Walt started making trouble. Originally Walt was supposed to cook for Gus about 3 months or so, in which time Gale would have learned Walt's cooking and Walt would have made more than enough money for his family,
@@markf.9396
Gale definitely wasn't Walt's equal. Gale's meth only reached around 96%. He was in third place right behind Jesse who was at 96.3% at his best and Walt's normal purity of 99.1%.
I remember when I was watching the show first time, I waited him to be revealed as a "not so innocent after all" kind of character, you knoe that kind of twist. But no, it never happened.
His death made me audibly cry like it hit me really hard because he's just a really nice loveable goofball and one of the only fully likeable characters and seeing him be killed by someone else for a reason that wasnt Gales fault was really heartbreaking
Honestly I think that was the message that the series was trying to show how naive, idealistic, nonviolent people are ruthlessly killed because of the stakes of the business. If you listen to his little “there’s crime and then there’s *crime*” speech, he has (arguably) admirable aims in the drug business. The problem is the people in the drug business don’t share his morals, and are willing to step on anyone in their way. Like Walt said, “it’s either him or us”.
Gale was so cool. I loved his character
Gale singing with Thai subtitles just made my day
Even though he wasn't actually on screen that much, his character had a massive role in breaking bad. He nailed it and was hilarious too
Jesse a nice guy pretending to be bad
Gale a nice guy just being a nice guy
Gale you asked me if i was in the coffee business or money business... neither... i’m in the empire business
*The first time we see Gale is not singing along with his song is the moments before Jesse kills him*
1:16 both he and Gus are just phenomenal in that scene. Very fitting placement in the episode too after the “second heisenberg” wraps up
6:10 Hank sounded like Walt weird
Well theyre both bald
LOL
If you think about it it doesn't make sense for Walt to ask for other partner than Gale he's submissive, knowledgable and capable.
He was too capable. He was to be Walt's replacement.
Walt had no plans on replacing Gale before Jesse threatened to expose him and vowed to make Hank's life miserable. Getting Jesse onboard was primarily a way to get him to drop those ideas. Walt also didn't seem to have any problem with just working for Gus, finishing their "contract" and not cause any trouble (to be 'submissive', if you will) before this happened. It's also doubtful that Gus had any plans on killing Walt before this. Things started to spiral out of control once Jesse took issue with Gus's dealers using kids (not that anyone can blame him for this, of course) and Walt chose to protect Jesse rather than remaining subservient to Gus.
but he wasnt jesse :(

i love re watching this show and seeing everywhere walt went wrong, so many golden opportunities but that wouldnt have been fun for him, he knew he was going to die soon and wanted to play the game before going, he was done with the clinical lifestyle and liked a bit of chaos, it made him feel alive when he feels like a dead man walking.
HIs dance moves are impressive but Walter White is in control here.
HIS CHOPS ARE TOO RIGHTEOUS
That song at the start - our school chemistry teacher sang that as he played piano at his last day of school. He’d deliberately make a mistake just so he could say shit or fuck just to make us laugh and to annoy the headmaster. Bearing in mind, this was in 1990 and our school was very small, 300 pupils, and in the Scottish highlands where most teachers were very prudish, church types. Made me smile to hear this again!
the tragedy is that at the end of the day Gale was in love with Walt and his innocense was his doom.
Gale is the only character apart from the twins who didn't age between Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.
I am not the only one who wishes Gale would get a spin off, am I?
His logic on him making meth was pretty solid.
Except it resulted in his brains being blown out. Don't get involved with gangs.
@@ReasonMakes A very good point. I don't remember why Gale was killed, but he and Walt could have lived happily ever after.
@@edragyz8596 Because Gale was Walt's replacement. Walt was Gus's competition. So Gus hired Walt to teach Gale how to make the blue meth, and then was planning in killing Walt and Jesse. Jesse killed Gale to save Walt.
@@ReasonMakes Oh

One of my favorite characters by far
3:07 that's a sound argument for a drug manufacturer to keep his conscience clean, but it does have one fatal flaw: consenting adults who get hooked on drugs are consenting adults no longer. Addiction eliminates consent. A person may engage in consumption of narcotics a time or two recreationally without getting hooked, sure, but once addiction sets in, they will eventually reach a point where they will do anything to get the next dose, be it theft, robbery or even murder, and that is when they become dangerous to people other than themselves. Narcotics are illegal for precisely that reason, and drug dealers, who capitalize on addiction, are therefore criminals with addicts themselves as their victims. No amount of libertarianism can change that.
Very true! Gale’s an interesting dude.
The song Gale covers at 5:50 is a classic german song called "Peter Schilling - Major Tom"
wasnt gale related to walt in some way?
This is why you never answer random knocks on your door in Albuquerque
In an alternate universe, Gale went to become Gus's main cook.
Walt and Jessie retired and lived happily without anybody knowing about their meth business.
Holy shit this is making me tear up
Whenever I see him in any other series I cant see him as whatever role he’s playing cuz he’s always Gale for me
easily one of the top 5 characters on this show
its such a touching moment when gale and jesse meet. what a touching scene🥹
He was awesome. How did he memorize those songs?
I really think the character might be on the spectrum. Like, a genuine portrayal of someone with autism and a high IQ who’s put work in to socialize. It would explain the way his memory locks in songs, his awkwardness, the off kilter way he interacts with his co workers and friends (would go towards explaining why a guy that smart has found a job like this, a lot of underemployment in autistic adults comes down to not being able to work corporate drama). How genuinely excited he gets about the stuff he loves. And that his logic system has rationalized around the obvious morality of cooking meth is bad. If that’s what’s going on, it’s one of the best portrayal of someone in the spectrum I’ve seen
Let's face it, Hank's big mistake was sharing way too much police business with Walt, allowing him access to his office and taking him on work-related errands.
Ultimately, it just goes to show that you really don't know a person, even the one with whom you break bread!
