This was my first real console. I had a Sega Genesis but so many great memories playing Dreamcast. A guy that worked for my dad had what was called a Moose Disc which allowed him to have any game out on the console. Good times.
That's the Utopia boot cd. The early pirate games needed that to boot. Poor people like myself used that a lot. Word of advice. Don't use it or any cd-rom games. The laser of the console will go crazy trying to read those and trust me, it will break your laser system. Avoid that at all cost!
haha! Nice video. The dreamcast did feel special, it was this charming system. Great List, I was a fighting game fan and it was nice having some good ports without importing. Around that time, the PS1 had no RAM for character swap on Xmen Vs Street Fighter, so we had to import the Sega Saturn because of the ram expansion. That was early Ebay, so those games would run up around 140 to 170, and these ports were released around the same time the game was out at arcades. So in other words great for training for tournaments. The dreamcast was the Naomi board, so all of the Capcom ports were perfect, surprised Virtua Fighter 3 TB wasn't exactly like the arcade, and SNK's output was actually interesting. Nice bonuses on there end. Surprised Last Blade 2 got an USA Release, that's actually an under rated gem of game, easy to play, nice style to it, not exactly Samurai Showdown or Soul Calibur. This interesting period of Samurai action. Also Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is an amazing CPS3 arcade game, which a fighting game with a story mode fallows the manga, and it's not bad. Had a USA release also. I mean I did import a few games, but even with a short life span, a lot of games did come to USA. Again cool video
@@saadhasan2518 Last Blade is under rated, especially since MvC and Guilty Gear went with crazy chain link combos, Sam Show went with power moves, and soul calibur had the 3d tech. So you got Last Blade which was more like SF Alpha when SF3 was still in the tourney scene, nice comfy combat with counter and super moves. Plus the period was different than Sam Show and Soul Calibur that it stood out.

Yes sir !!! I just got a sport edition off eBay for not that much , and the games I had when I was in high school , Dreamcast was a true next gen experience … love it so much
A game that I played a lot when I was a kid was Coaster Works. You essentially have to blueprint a rollercoaster which is radical enough for the audience but won't murder them with G-force at the same time. Then you get to see your rollercoaster in action in first person. It's pretty cool.
I got a Dreamcast as a High School graduation gift in 2000....it was my FIRST non-Nintendo console. Soul Caliber and Marvel Vs Capcom 2 were two of my favorite games of all time
The Dreamcast holds up so well. So many classics on this console. Shame I never got a chance to own this device. Worth looking for one now. Excellent video.
Hey Metal. I love Sega. The Dreamcast is a great console. I wish Sega would remaster some of their arcade stuff. It's unreal how many great arcade games they made. They're sitting on a gold mine. Great video as usual. Rock on and game on
You need a copy of Carrier, it’s an awesome survival horror game exclusive for Dreamcast. A director’s cut for PS2 was in development but Jaleco ran out of money.
Toy Commander was my first Dreamcast game purchase. In that game you are the little boy with his overcharged imagination. He is dreaming of ways to rescue and defeat his other toys that have gone rogue. I never defeated it, but I played the heck out of it. I pay have to revisit that one really soon... maybe make a UA-cam video of my triumphs (or probably my defeat). The Dreamcast is long overdue for a proper resurrection. Sega could CASH IN BIG if they released a Dreamcast Resurrected system. There is an audience with money to throw at them. They could allow the passionate home brew/indie community to become larger players in the new Sega Dreamcast era! What a great pipe dream huh?
I bought Skies of Arcadia, Shenmue, Seaman, Sword of The Berserk, Marvel vs Capcom 2 and about 50 others brand new when this system was still out. I had so many friends that wouldn't even look at the Dreamcast as they were waiting on the Playstation 2. I have no regrets about any of my video game purchases, especially the Dreamcast.
I'm glad you mentioned quite a few under rated titles including Floigan Bros and Ms.Pacman. The Dreamcast has tons of hidden jems and I'd argue one of the most underrated and forgotten hidden gems was Toy Commander. Its one of the best Dreamcast exclusives I loved as a kid.
I have old Next Generation issues in PDF form. Issues from 1995-1999. Next Gen hyped the Dreamcast a lot. Those were my high school years. So DC still feels fresh in my mind.
I had a lot of fun playing Hydro Thunder, Ready to Rumble and Virtua Tennis. I never had a ton of patience playing careers in games but Virtua tennis had me hooked. That's also where I started playing Rayman and have lived those games since. NBA2k and NFL2k games were great too!

MetalJesus here to showcase my favorite system and collection of all time. I appreciate you doing this for the Dreamcast community and yourself included. Huge fan of yours. Hope to meet you one day to talk and play the classic games especially Dreamcast. Stay healthy, stay safe.
I still make time to play Crazy Taxi weekly on the dreamcast. im not a fan of the soundtrack on the 360 version
My gf and I been playing High Roller (Crazy Taxi III). Damn that is ridiculously addictive!
I remember when I first booted up Crazy Taxi on the 360 waiting for the Offspring to kick in... Here was my response...
😆😲🤨☹😑
Ya ya ya ya ya
And they took out the kfcs, burger kings and pizza huts which was so awesome
LOVE Cannon Spike (and a bunch of other you mentioned). I have had my Cannon Spike since the day it came out and I unwrapped it myself! My sons (whom are both adults now) used to play that game with me all the time- in turn of course. One of my faves was Sega Marine Fishing. That game was a blast too! Good times.
It’s always a great Friday when a new MJR video shows up!
You're the best!
Yup And Especially If It's A Collection Video But Still It's Always Good :)
@@MetalJesusRocks Metal Jesus ,you do realize that Rock legend David Bowie had direct involvement in the creation of Omicron the nomad soul ,a real big deal at the time it came out, very strange you didn't mention that ,,,but you did mention KISS so what gives MJR ???
Thanks so much for your kind worlds about Flea and Im glad to see that you enjoyed the Tapeworm demo too :) Il be sure to send over a full version when they are ready.
I bought this thing for Rayman 2. Absolutely stunning and awesome game, and the Dreamcast port is by far the best version. Speaking of Rayman, I want Rayman 4!
I Might Check Out Rayman I Might Even Get Rayman Legends For The Switch Ik There's A Port
I love it on N64. Got it as a kid, but still haven't finished it despite having the strategy guide. Game is hard as hell.
I played Rayman back in the 90s ps1 beautiful game.
@@vinnysproductionsinc66 Rayman Legends is good fun!
@@Benobot99 The game really isn't that difficult now. I also had serious trouble as a kid. The only hard part is the final boss.
I've been going through all my favourite Dreamcast games lately and making short gameplay videos on them. Love the system! Absolute favourite console growing up. Glad to see other Dreamcast fans out there still.
Damn was hoping you’d talk about Tokyo Xtreme Racing. Was one of my favorite racing games and favorite on the system. I never hear anyone talk about it.
Yes! Great game
Jesus! I love how to describe and narrate your games! So awesome! Would you consider do a “Why i think this game is great” type of videos and go in depth of your favourite ones? I would love to see it on your channel
The Legend will never die!
Every year around 9-9 I try to set some time to play the Dreamcast.
This is the first year I have the opportunity to do it with an ODE installed.
The Dreamcast was ahead of its time and one of the greatest systems ever made. A pity most people didn't give it a chance at the time
Idk I feel like a lot of people wanted the system when I was a kid, but Sega killed it off before it could gain steam. I know I wanted one but my parents wouldn’t buy it because they heard it was discontinued.
Hey MJR you must have read my mind lol. I was just thinking yesterday I wish Jason from Metal Jesus Rocks would do an updated Dreamcast video. I log in and boom here it is! Thanks Jason for all the hard work you put in your videos.
Dreamcast had the best library.
Metal Jesus + Dreamcast: Best in-flight entertainment on a flight home. Subscribed!
Another fantastic DC game was Heavy METAL Geomatrix - great arena style game play and fantastic licensed soundtrack (and yes it relates to the Movies)
Also Tech Romancer is very good.
It's like war of the monsters but with Gundam-ish mechs!
Your first Dreamcast video (years ago) was the first video of yours I watched and caused me to sub. Love this sytem!
Sega Dreamcast is no longer the best graphics console it also doesn’t play movies it can’t play import games as the PS3 PS4 xbox one I remember I put a mod chip in my own Dreamcast it played import games for a few months then stopped playing games it broke I learned my lesson never to do that again the game pass right now is the winner can’t believe I’m playing the newest releases on day one without paying $60-$70 I won’t be playing on my PS5 until they get Spider-Man 2
LOL you good, man?

This was my first experience with video games as a child. It’s what captured me for gaming. Me and my dad would play and he would do the hard parts of games lol. This video really brings me deep deep joy.
You sure you need all those? You're not a good person. You should be donating that stuff to a children's hospital. You're an adult.
Dude I just found this reply ,,fell out of chair laughs ,I'm not sure if MJR is savvy proper to get your joke ,,that's killer dude ,,on a retro game collecting channel no less ,,hee hee hee ,if you get the chance checkout Captain Frugal's channel ,,, sometimes it's Fun ,,😋🤪👍
Lmfao 🤣😆😆🤣
@@wyldelf2685 He's a scam. He feeds off the uninformed. Notice no matter what his video is he always needs money. He's worse than the church. If he really needed money he would sell some games that people donated. He wants to keep those though. He prefers cash.

@@johnnycigar2061 it seems like companies send him products for free in hopes of a good review ,,a gaming UA-camr that gets 3000 views on average or more tends to get noticed by these product companies ,,then UA-cam notices and starts putting higher caliber adverts on their videos ,,some UA-camrs will constantly beg that you hit their Patreon (donate to them ) or the can't make a phone podcast ?? after time some of it gets crazy ,,,I simply enjoy it for content , conversation and a little networking ,, if something I find out can help someone that's great too ,, remember main purpose of UA-cam is entertainment and info ,,sometimes MJR has cool content and other times it's a "Look at all MY wonderful stuff"type of thing ,, UA-cam is supposed to be Fun ,not therapy ,,,👍
I've never really had any old game consoles besides PS2, so I don't know a lot about older games. Dreamcast just seems to have such pretty games, I love the graphics of most of these you've showed in the video.
I really look forward to Friday. I watch your videos on my break or lunch. It depends how busy it is. I, especially, love the collection videos. Sometimes I rewatch the buying guides and pickup videos. Helps me through my day. So, I'd like to say thank you MJ. You rock. 🤘🤓
MetalJesus I have never saw something and went to ebay to buy as fast I did when I saw the limited battle crust game .... love the video! keep bring us Dreamcast news and updates!
Super Magnetic Neo! One of my favorite Dreamcast games and the most challenging platformer I’ve ever played! Beautiful graphics and whimsical soundtrack.
Crazy Taxi is an awesome 5 minute blast.
Your collection is Amazon man ❤ wow
Dreamcast was my very first console, such a great memories.
SO HAPPY to see Dreamcast content! One of my favorite consoles ever. Awesome video!
see another reason why I love yor channel man, I personally didn't own a Dreamcast growing up but I did know about it n some of their games n now have a Dreamcast in my game collection and thanks for showing n introducing sum Dreamcast games I never knew about
One of the coolest future style approaches to any console gen’s. The cases for these games are truly art, it’s cool seeing any still holding up today in good condition
I'm drunk and I just watched you say "Hey guys Metal Jesus here" at least 20 times.
You should do a video of everytime you've said "Hey guys Metal Jesus here"
This was my first real console.
Garou MOTW was also an amazing port alongside CvS2 and Kof 2000
Last Blade 2 is a really great game.
@@crithon yeah the setting was great and the characters were really memorable and the overall gameplay is awesome especially with the custom combos in speed mode
My best friend in grade school Jullian got dreamcast from Costco I think, along with one vmu. Sonic & the vmu's BLEW my mind!!
Big hitter with the Border Down - great game, one of my faves. And utterly bizarrely set in my home town of Sheffield!
Your video has just inspired me to fire up Mars Matrix for an hour too.
If you can get a hold of Trickstyle it is an excellent addition to your collection. I put the most hours into that game than any other dream cast game back in the day and there really isn't very much like it. So glad to see Jet Grind Radio in your mix!! Keep on rocking dude!
You missed the best flight sim for Dreamcast: Air Force Delta. You need to check that out.
recently purchased a CIB dreamcast for a steal of a deal.... never owned one as a kid but looks like I have a new system to collect for. looking forward to it. thanks for the great recommendations MJR . keep up the great work man
Always hyped for a new MJR video, and on my birthday too?! Glad to learn so much more about a console I grew up seeing at my friend’s houses
Happy birthday!
Yes sir !!! I just got a sport edition off eBay for not that much , and the games I had when I was in high school , Dreamcast was a true next gen experience … love it so much
Thanks for sharing this jesus! I never owned a dreamcast but it always intrigued me so much. Such a cool console
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@MetalJesusRocks keep up the great work buddy :)
I may have to get that Rise of the Triad game. I remember playing that forever ago on PC
Soul Caliber and Marvel Vs Capcom 2 were two of my favorite games of all time
Dreamcast was my second console after N64 but my first system was an Amiga. Fond memories of them all
Nice T shirt Metal Jesus!, Ghost rocks! Nema!
I loved playing the Toy Commander game, the toystore we had where i lived always had that game on display! Crazy taxi too!
I didn't know that this game called Jet Set Radio is known in the US as "Jet Grind Radio" xD I had no idea! It's a classic.
It isn’t. I don’t know how he got that copy, but I live in Texas and we had Jet Set Radio and so did my buddies. Never heard of Jet Grind Radio xD
I play a lot of these games in Flycast. They rock, indeed.
Got my dreamcast last summer and i have fallen in love with it
The Berserk game is probalbly shooting up in price because the author of the series passed away a while ago and now is more collectible.
This game has not been cheap for a long time
i am so thrilled you added MSR to this.. a game far ahead of its time. a pioneer
I have old Next Generation issues in PDF form. Issues from 1995-1999. Next Gen hyped the Dreamcast a lot. Those were my high school years. So DC still feels fresh in my mind.
Your weekend doesn't begin until that Metal Jesus intro music drops!!!
Great video MJR. Dreamcast was my favorite console of all time
My Dreamcast has actually been away the past few weeks for repairs. Hopefully I'll get it back soon cause this video has gotten me in the mood for more Dreamcast.
Virtua Fighter was me and my brothers favourite game on the dreamcast
