    i have noticed that perylene colors in general tend to do that weird spotting thing you noticed, and especially on Arches paper.

    I had a similar issue with one of my sketchbooks, too. I think it's the sizing that isn't right.
    Some red shades are looking nice like Winsor Red, Permanent Scarlet and French Vermillion. ♡

    Thats a very nice comparison. Thank you. Ive found that my paints sit on top of cellulose papers, but absorb beautifully on Arches 100% cotton cold press. Really any of the higher quality cotton papers, even without sizing, swatch out much better. I always test my new paints on both types of paper.

      Aww thank you for watching the video 😊. I agree with you, I usually use the 100% cotton arches paper but I have a roll of the 25% cotton that I want to use up 😊

    i used to like Senn PR242 but grew out of it somehow. the DS PR149 looks quite interesting. thank you for showing us these swatches :D
