I've had the sd40ve for 6 years and its been very reliable tho i haven't used it in awhile...need to take it out but been real busy. Thanks for the show !
Went out to sportsman's club last week , ran my savage 62 and marlin 795 , both ran fine. Also took out my raven arms p25 , which who had it before , put the striker in backwards and it wouldn't chamber a round. Always good seeing the sw sd and ve out
Well, now the trigger weight is about the same- and I’m used to the curved triggers. The only downfall of the SW9VE now is the front sight messes with my eyes a little. It’s a ramp with an oval dot- kinda weird
I had to do some polishing and a bit of tapping on the SD9VE due to it not locking open on the last round. That fixed it. I found a video on here years ago, I don't remember exactly, but there is a fix and it's not rocket science. Just elbow grease. I did no modifications to it, it was from factory and would not hold open. Like it tho.
Looking to get the Apex threaded barrel, however it's designed for the SD 9 and SD9VE, whereas I have an SW9VE. Can you confirm whether the barrels will swap between the SD9VE and the SW9VE?
That’s because I’ve had it the longest. I think the SD9 2.0 could be better with time, and if I put a flat trigger in the SW9VE I could get better with that too
The flinch is bad :) if you shoot only one gun it’s easy to get used to it and not flinch, but being that I shoot a lot of guns at the same time, and they all have different triggers, sometimes it’s difficult to shoot them all well
Had my swsdve9 at the range Friday. Never lets me down.
They’re pretty good

No problem! Nice to hear others like these budget guns as well
SD9VE was so close to becoming my first self loading pistol
Mine has been very reliable, except for aluminum cases ammo, and the military grade stuff with hard primers.

I have been taking these out a lot lately :)
thanks for this review brother youre the only one i seen do this online
@@michaelmurphy7241 thanks! I don’t always do new guns and the most modern stuff, I like going back in history.
I liked the pace of this video. I'm surprised you shot all three about the same...

Hell yea, didn't lag or waist breath, just got to it. Love that
@@Codevil. thanks!
I have 4 ss 16 round mags. One has a red stripe on the follower and that's the only one that doesn't hold open.
I may just stretch the spring/ some of these are from the 90’s

I changed the spring kit on mine and I was getting the same problem the spring for the striker was too soft.
@@greko137 I suspect that on mine as well
I wish they could have kept the Glock-style extractor from the SW9.
@@LatestHour ehh, these work pretty good, and they’re cheap and easy to replace

@@SageryKT I cannot verify that- I’d have to look but I think the SW9 and SD9 are different. Call or email Apex
Recoil spring the same from sw9ve and the sd9ve?
I don’t know, didn’t try to swap them
Sd9ve smoked the rest of them guns

Hey no one likes everything…
Are the SD9VE mags compatible with the 2.0?
Yeasir!
