Sig Sauer P320 M17 9mm. Will it unseat the Stoeger STR9 as my new favorite full size 9mm? It’s good!
The modern US military 9mm is really good. Great ergo’s, ambi features, big sights, rail…
Can it unseat the Stoeger STR9 as my favorite full size 9mm that I own? It’s a tight race.
The Stoeger is about half the price, mags are way cheaper, and besides the ambi features, and no manual safety on the Stoeger, they both can server the same exact purpose.
I like them both for different reasons. The Sig is really good though…

The vintage Marlin 45 ACP PC Carbine that uses 1911 magazines. The Model 45 Camp carbine.
Переглядів 16 тис.День тому
The Marlin 45 Camp Carbine was made from 1985-1999. I believe it was a bit ahead of its time- people were not really into PC Carbines yet, the Beretta CX4 was one of the others available at the time which was also a weird PC Carbine. This classic uses 1911 magazines which makes it a perfect setup for a Rifle and pistol pairing with a 1911, also makes a good pairing for a same caliber rifle and ...
Revisiting an old “friend” Glenfield Marlin model 60 .22LR rifle. Don’t pass these gems up!

These are great budget friendly, well made, accurate and reliable rifles. The best ones are the “JM” marked barrels made before the New Jersey gun ban days- they had 22” barrels with 18 1 capacity . Some in the late 80’s and early 90’s had last shot bolt hold opens. The newer “ban” models often still have “JM” marked barrels up into the 1990’s, but have 18” or 18.5” barrels and 14 1 round capac...
Amadeo Rossi S.A. M518 .22LR 6 shot stainless revolver. Well made budget S&W copy from a bygone era

This has been in the bowels of my safe for a while, time to get it out and see the light of day. Not a lot about these online. As near as I can figure this was made during a time when S&W parent company also owned Rossi and Taurus, and there were some crossover pistols between the three brands. Often the Rossi’s are worn out, loose, and the cheapest of the three brands, but this one was a gem. ...
Two Rare-ish Chinese type 56 triangle 26 (Arsenal 296) SKS carbines
Переглядів 424Місяць тому
I have been trying to figure out what exactly I have in these two SKS carbines. They’re both Triangle 26 carbines. The first is a 1960 “Letter series” rifle, I put it in a Russian stock because it had a jungle stock when I got it. Wish I’d kept that stock, it actually fit well. The second appears to be a triangle 26 type 56 carbine from 1973, but it doesn’t add up. Has a pressed and pinned barr...
Smith and Wesson Bodyguard 2.0 - an improved Bodyguard 1.0? Or a totally new breed? It’s really good
Переглядів 1,9 тис.2 місяці тому
Comparing the bodyguard 2.0 to the bodyguard 1.0, and doing a review of the 2.0. This gun is a departure from the old 1.0 bodyguard and is a fantastic firearm. It is more a kin to an MNP full-size that has been shrunk down then anything similar to what the bodyguard 1.0 was.

Take the recoil pad off the stock to se the year in grease pencil. The 490 is a 68' mfg
In the 80's Kmart sold the S&W Model 916 under the name Eastfield Model 916 So they were sold by the mass's,... the one I had was A Fixed screw in barrel like a rifle with a fixed Modified choke all steel gun with walnut stocks, with a single pump action bar it was a well working gun that I feel if S&W still had it they would have improved it to compete against Mossberg. S&W Bought the rights of the Noble 66 shotgun. But Mossberg bought out Smith & Wesson Rifles and Shotguns.
That's cool yeah I just couldn't see him sorry about that yep hearing protection is important you don't know what you have until you lose it😂
@@Syd-y1n I appreciate the concern 👍
Getting some major Garand Thumb vibes. Can't say that I'm really in love with having the background all out of focus like that, though.
This doesn't really have anything to do with your review however you should be wearing your hearing protection and the only reason I really even say this is that suffering from hearing loss myself it really sucks and I hate for anybody else to have to go through it😢 good video
@@Syd-y1n I wear Howard Leight earplugs every time I’m at the range. I ALWAYS have hearing protection. I appreciate you mentioning it though!
I agree with him when he says that he wants a gun that can fire any ammunition. I dont want something that i have to stick with the same ammo because they mught not have that ammo at that time. I call thise sensitive guns which i dont want. Because if something happens to whete i need ammo really quick i beed something that with handle and shoot almost anything

I have a Model 36 Chief Special square butt that came with the original wood grips and I couldn't hit a bull in the ass with an oat sack until I got a set of Pachmayr Gripper grips for it. Now I look like a marksman. I was really surprised that just by changing grips changes your shooting ability.
@@wizardofahhhs759 makes a huge difference
I like the fact it's a chassis pistol and with standard magazines it's viable just like every other striker fired wonder nine no frills they just work
Yeah, but I’m pretty happy with it as it is
Ahhhhh, looks like sig is paying another gun channel to push good reviews for there 320 after they lost 2 law suits in a row,, and people need to checkout what politicians they have gave money two over the years,, sig is a snake in the grass company,, and if you don’t believe me just do some research you will find out they don’t give a dam about are 2a rights,, they are in bed with the government and they will do what ever the government wonts them to do,,
No manufacturer pays me. I buy my own stuff and I review it my way. I didn’t even know they got sued over these
@@crankygunreviews if you just do a little digging you will find out how sneaky and just full of bull$hit the upper management is,, the give money to anti 2a politicians is something in my eyes I can’t buy or own another gun from them,, just look at the law suit Mexico has on gun manufacturers in the U.S,, they can sue every single gun manufacturer in the U.S except for one ,, and guess who it is,,
@@crankygunreviews SIG just got sued over the P320 used by civilians and law enforcement. That pistol has no manual safety like the M17/M18. The military has no complaints. Its only civilians and law enforcement that can't seem to get trained on the pistol without a manual safety so they get lots of negligent discharges. Evidently they finally found a judge and jury that was sympathetic to their mishandling of the pistol since all previous lawsuits have been dropped or settled.
@ the M17 has a great Ambi manual safety
@buddysumner4022 I disagree. No other gun company is more patriotic than SIG. How many other gun companies do you see that put out patriotic product videos? Its sad when the only gun company that puts out pro-2A patriotic product videos is a German owned company rather than a domestic US company. The whole gun industry is rotten and always has been never caring about 2A rights from Smith to Ruger to Springfield to RRA and so on. Just look at their history of bartering gun rights from the GCA and NFA on down. They care more about domestic manufacture and profit. Not the 2A or gun rights. Its always been that way. SIG just got sued over the P320 used by civilians and law enforcement. That pistol has no manual safety like the M17/M18. The military has no complaints. Its only civilians and law enforcement that can't seem to get trained on the pistol without a manual safety so they get lots of negligent discharges. Evidently they finally found a judge and jury court that was sympathetic to their mishandling of the pistol since all previous lawsuits have been dropped or settled.

i have the s&w ez 38acp and was looking for a decently priced ruger security 380acp with ten round mags only because i like the latter’s feel, but the ruger ship sailed. so i bought more s&w mags and practiced more with it, and i like the ez alot now. you are correct about the ez’s grip safety, i grew into it too. it’s good to see your videos despite the latest anti2a vomit from boston.
@@jtns2845 the EZ is great to shoot. I really like it, but I really like the Security too. I do whatever I can to keep the 2A community alive. Someday, we’ll have a win…
Sig, no thanks,🔫 S&W rules
@@bpie8390 the sig is pretty good too.
For some odd reason, I would rather have the Ruger. That's just between these 2 handguns, if I had to pick 1.
@@bpie8390 bigger capacity is one reason… lower price is another reason. But they’re both good. I’m not the biggest fan of the grip safety but it doesn’t take much to get used to.
If H&R knew that certain people were willing to pay $200 for a single shot shotgun they would have never gone out of business. I sure would never pay that price. Anyway pretty good review of the shotgun. Check the primer on the Herters slug shells, if your fireing pin is getting stuck in the primer you could break it when forcing the gun open.
@@christinamoneyhan5688 I sold this one to my buddy and ironically replaced it with an H&R .410
So, what did it cost?
$1600 plus tax
You can clearly see the difference on video in recoil between the two. I’m surprised as they seem to be about the same size and 380.
@@AK-ky3ou the security is a little thicker, and has lightening cuts in the slide, but the Shield has a ported barrel and slide lightening cuts. They’re both really good, but I can shoot the Shield a little better.
Great video…I know the Bodyguard +P .38 isn’t really considered a J frame but it might as well be IMO. But on that pistol I bought the Hogue rubber grips for it and boy those really change this gun for the positive!
@@kylewood8327 I don’t really like the bodyguard .38 special, too weird
Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoyed that. Do you feel the Bodyguard 2.0 is more controllable/less snappy than the LCP Max?
@@stevenr1354 definitely! Better trigger, slimmer grip, and the one I have has a longer mag, so it fits my hand better. Feels like it has less recoil too. The Max is pretty snappy and I really don’t love the trigger
@crankygunreviews Thanks!
If you're going to clean your revolver, you take the rubber grip off also.
I usually don’t put enough rounds in it at the range to make it that dirty.
@crankygunreviews it doesn't matter if you're going on the range and just firing a hundred rounds, if you want to give it a thorough cleaning, you still take the grip off . I'm just saying.
@ I take them off periodically- not every time
@crankygunreviews good to know.
Got the security 380 for my girlfriend about a year ago and she loves firing it,as do I. It's a great little reliable pistol
Cranky, you and these little semi-autos, i am praying for you, buddy
I love them
Id go bodyguard 2.0 if i had to pick a modern 380 and i couldn't have a surplus gun or a police trade in beretta single stack guns are only for ban states in modern age
It’s pretty good. I’m sure with more practice I’ll be a dead eye with it. The trigger is really good and the longer length mags makes for a good full grip on it
Happy Thanksgiving! A company called MagGuts makes a spring kit for magazines that adds extra capacity without extending the length. I think they make a kit for the bodyguard to turn it into a 7+1 capacity without extra grip length. Not a lot more, but in Paul Harrell terminology, enough difference to make a difference...
@@CarolinaRimfire thanks, I have seen magguts stuff but never thought to get one for the bodyguard.
@crankygunreviews they work pretty well on my S&W shield magazines. Went from 7+1 to 9+1 with barely any extension at all & they work well. Worth checking out I think
I also have magguts in a few shield magazines, but for carry firearms I prefer to keep everything factory original.
@@CarolinaRimfire cool thanks!
