When I was working in Chicago in the late 70s. Everywhere you looked ads were proclaiming the new investment opportunities that awaited anyone willing to send their cash to China. I used to go by Wisconsin Steel works which were exclusively making frames for International Harvester. Then in the space of a week I witnessed the employees locked out of the plant. The word was that I.H. took their money and the employees pension plan and invested it in a new Chinese factory. This was the start of de industrialization of the midwest states. I believe it was because of the Unions and the power they were wielding at that time. The companies did not want to have any kind power/profit sharing eating into their bottom line and the investment into China screwed the Unions power royally. So fast forward to present day and situation it has royally screwed all Americans to the point where now something has to be done with China. So as someone who has lived long enough to see these situations develop.This was a Made in America problem which stemmed from total greed. All I can say is good luck straightening it all out. While Bannon makes some interesting observations regarding the state of relationships with China, he's too ideologically driven to make an objective analysis on this topic. His populist incline makes his arguments palatable to non-subject matter experts, but much less substantive to experts and researchers in this field. Also lots of opinions stated as fact lead to narrow conclusions on his part. Everything is black or white with Bannon, that's his weakness.

When I was working in Chicago in the late 70s. Everywhere you looked ads were proclaiming the new investment opportunities that awaited anyone willing to send their cash to China. I used to go by Wisconsin Steel works which were exclusively making frames for International Harvester. Then in the space of a week I witnessed the employees locked out of the plant. The word was that I.H. took their money and the employees pension plan and invested it in a new Chinese factory. This was the start of de industrialization of the midwest states. I believe it was because of the Unions and the power they were wielding at that time. The companies did not want to have any kind power/profit sharing eating into their bottom line and the investment into China screwed the Unions power royally. So fast forward to present day and situation it has royally screwed all Americans to the point where now something has to be done with China. So as someone who has lived long enough to see these situations develop.This was a Made in America problem which stemmed from total greed. All I can say is good luck straightening it all out. We have our work cut out for us. Lord Jesus save us from ourselves.

While Bannon makes some interesting observations regarding the state of relationships with China, he's too ideologically driven to make an objective analysis on this topic. His populist incline makes his arguments palatable to non-subject matter experts, but much less substantive to experts and researchers in this field. Also lots of opinions stated as fact lead to narrow conclusions on his part. Everything is black or white with Bannon, that's his weakness.

Curious. Rolling-over is no strategy. No matter if it’s Trump or another, the US is still the strongest economy and military power worldwide. I prefer a fight for our future and my children.
Yes, and unfortunately, things will probably get worse before they get better. Our economy is probably going to tank. China, and its allies in the US, will do whatever it takes to dethrone Trump. If Trump doesn't win re-election, then the next president will capitulate to China and America will continue its decline.
