you should listen to some of his previous interviews .. they seem to keep changing narrative to suit newer current predictions , and curiously pessimistic toward Ukraine , accusatory , misplaced blame for the US When Russia STARTED the war , He is very OVERLY sympathetic toward Putin's Russia ??

They dont enemies of Russia like neocons staff of Democratic Party. Both, Mearsheimer and Kissinger defend "balance of power" with Russia. And this is the most important thing to do today, not put NATO alliance on the Russia's borders.

Mearsheimer is basically saying this: don't waste time fighting Russia. Fight China because China will be a bad hegemon. American hegemon is better. In reality, China will not be a hegemon even if it wants to. Because it will be a multipolar world, crowded with US, EU, and Japan together and new ones appearing like India, Brazil and Indonesia. Moreover, China wants to do investments and trade. Ot does not interfere with internal affairs of others. In trade and investments, everyone wins. US is all about power and control. It's not interested in developing other countries. It has 800 bases all over the world to coerce others, to assassinate, kidnap, sanction and invade on endless wars. It wants to protect USD as the world reserve currency in order to keep printing free USD for huge military expenditure. Mearsheimer is just a wily fox twisting logic for a war with China. He is a dangerous war monger who wants to force nations choose: you are either with us or against us.

I always assumed it was because Japan was a German ally. It took listening to voices outside of the mainstream media and educational establishment to learn that Japan’s attack was provoked by American attempts to strangle the Japanese economy. As a 30-year-old Chinese individual who is not majoring in International Relations, and with English as my third language, I'm quite surprised that you have never judged the channel for using "China is the winner of the war" as an eye-catcher. To me, using this kind of irresponsible headline already makes me question how unbiased the discussion is. Furthermore, we all know that NATO constantly broke its agreements after the Cold War and expanded eastward, which triggered the war. I simply don't appreciate shifting the responsibility for modern warfare to China, whether the statement is true or not.
You can always find experts that talk about ongoing international conflicts. Like for example Brian Berletic or the Duran channel tell a lot of interesting realtities of Russian-Ukrainian conflict and other conflicts in the world

The trade sanctions imposed by the United States and anti-dumping measures by the European Union cannot solve the problem of trade deficits. If democratic countries believe that the human rights and welfare protection of hundreds of millions of Chinese farmers and vulnerable groups are not related to you, it will gradually lead to a decrease in the standards of wages and welfare protection for labor in democratic countries (such as left-wing political parties in the United States proposing policies to reduce social welfare protection), because although labor in various countries cannot move freely, But capital is profit driven and can flow freely. Also one of the best I think that an interviewer has given him haha. Yesterday I watched a guy named Lex Fridmen (who has millions of subscribers somehow) interview Mearsheimer, and the guy could barely form a coherent thought, let alone a coherent question lol. The whole time I felt like Lex shouldn't have been conducting his interview because he knows like nothing about the topic so he barely knows what to even ask, and it really showed in his (attempts at) follow up questions. Gita, on the other hand, actually seems like he knows at least the basics on the topic and asks actually thoughtful questions that I haven't seen asked in other interviews I've watched/read by Mearsheimer.

I don’t agree with the assumptions about US security provided to East European countries. JM said “under the umbrella of US security” when talking about why the East European countries joining NATO. I once heard an interesting analogy made by the royals in Saudi Arabia when talking about the security provided by the US. He said that a shepherd brought a dog to protect his herd from a hyena that ate one of his goats every week at night but the dog had to be fed with meat of one goat a day. This explains perfectly the kind of security provided by the US. In Africa it’s a different ball game the US security train soldiers who then overthrow the governments.

Hello everyone! I am a worker with a Chinese "peasant identity" (under Chinese identity politics and household registration system, farmers are considered the lowest end of the population). After Professor Qin Hui's ideological enlightenment and awakening, I very agree with Professor Qin Hui's point of view: in the current context of globalization, the constitutional democratic system is being challenged by the autocratic Chinese model (that is, bad money drives out good money). Democratic countries around the world must deeply understand and understand the fact that since the CCP came into power in 1949, hundreds of millions of Chinese farmers have worked hard to pay public food, agricultural taxes The construction of water conservancy projects for free provided the CCP with the original financial accumulation at the beginning of the founding of the People's Republic of China. The trade sanctions imposed by the United States and anti-dumping measures by the European Union cannot solve the problem of trade deficits. If democratic countries believe that the human rights and welfare protection of hundreds of millions of Chinese farmers and vulnerable groups are not related to you, it will gradually lead to a decrease in the standards of wages and welfare protection for labor in democratic countries (such as left-wing political parties in the United States proposing policies to reduce social welfare protection), because although labor in various countries cannot move freely, But capital is profit driven and can flow freely. Thank you Prof. Gita Wirjawan for the amazing content. We, as Indonesians, are incredibly lucky to have you as an inspiration. I would humbly like to add to Mearsheimer's points. As someone who immersed himself in Chinese history as a young boy and is currently taking business in university. I believe that the United States are overlooking a few things, including Professor Mearsheimer. 1. The Chinese, historically, have a concept called the "Tributary System." Basically, a pragmatic China would leave their neighbors alone as long as they pay "tribute" to the Chinese. The US have a perspective as if, wherever China walks, autocracy will follow similar to the Cold War with Communism. I don't think that is the case. China doesn't care about the internals of other countries as long as "they paid tribute." The Yuan Dynasty only invaded the Singhasari because our ancestors did not pay tribute. I think this idea of pragmatism will be highlighted as China's soft power projection in the future. The world can trust China more because they never coup a third world country, unlike the US. 2. The Chinese are incredibly long-term oriented. This is the lands of Sun Tzu and their warfare tactics revolves our deception. I don't think Taiwan is China's end goal. Taiwan is just a distraction. I think a Chinese-dominated international finance is the end goal. We see how Saudi Arabia turned from the US after Chinese exports of Saudi oil eclipsed that of the Americans. They see the power in buying themselves friends. If one day China invaded Taiwan, it would be in a day where Southeast Asia have been dominated with Chinese money and SK-Japan no longer becoming advanced economies due to their advancing age demographics. They are playing the long game. They are sacrificing their short-term goals in Taiwan for long-term financial dominance. 3. Many American theorists (even in UA-cam) predicted that China will collapse anytime soon. They are underestimating the Confucian culture of the Chinese society. They said when China opened the COVID-19 restrictions because of the protests, it becomes as symbol that China will collapse. China doesn't work like that. When the West has a concept called "Divine Right to Rule," China has a more transactional-based concept to justify rule called the "Mandate of Heaven." Basically, this includes an Confucian ideal where the people give their full loyalty to the state and in return, the Chinese state will protect and provide their needs. China opening the COVID-19 restrictions is a symbol that the PRC is acting in accordance to the Mandate of Heaven and Confucian ideals. They are listening to the people. If anything, the Chinese would appreciate their government more after the protests. Chinese philosophy is very pragmatic. Their government will not collapse just because a government official is contradicts another. America's greatest mistake will be to use their line of thoughts on the Chinese instead of trying to learn from the Chinese's own unique eastern-way of thought. The Chinese, humiliated by the West for 200 years, have known the Western way of thought all too well evidenced by their love of Mearsheimer. There is a Chinese advantage in war of minds. In the past, I like to say to my International Relations friends in campus that "the Americans are playing chess, while the Chinese are play mahjong." Mearsheimer is right when he says the Americans have to take the Chinese more seriously.

He does not give a damn what Ukraine and other Russia's Eastern European neighbours think and want in all of this. He is stucked in Cold War era when Eastern Europe was Russia's backyard. They dont enemies of Russia like neocons staff of Democratic Party. Both, Mearsheimer and Kissinger defend "balance of power" with Russia. And this is the most important thing to do today, not put NATO alliance on the Russia's borders.

Mearsheimer is basically saying this: don't waste time fighting Russia. Fight China because China will be a bad hegemon. American hegemon is better.
In reality, China will not be a hegemon even if it wants to. Because it will be a multipolar world, crowded with US, EU, and Japan together and new ones appearing like India, Brazil and Indonesia.
Moreover, China wants to do investments and trade. Ot does not interfere with internal affairs of others. In trade and investments, everyone wins.
US is all about power and control. It's not interested in developing other countries. It has 800 bases all over the world to coerce others, to assassinate, kidnap, sanction and invade on endless wars. It wants to protect USD as the world reserve currency in order to keep printing free USD for huge military expenditure.

Except he is wrong about almost everything. Certainly he is an apologist for the Russians, but the world has moved on from such cold-war thinking, as you should know by the amount of support that is being given to Ukraine. Which, by the way, is protecting your way of life.

As a 30-year-old Chinese individual who is not majoring in International Relations, and with English as my third language, I'm quite surprised that you have never judged the channel for using "China is the winner of the war" as an eye-catcher. To me, using this kind of irresponsible headline already makes me question how unbiased the discussion is. Furthermore, we all know that NATO constantly broke its agreements after the Cold War and expanded eastward, which triggered the war. I simply don't appreciate shifting the responsibility for modern warfare to China, whether the statement is true or not.
You can always find experts that talk about ongoing international conflicts. Like for example Brian Berletic or the Duran channel tell a lot of interesting realtities of Russian-Ukrainian conflict and other conflicts in the world

The trade sanctions imposed by the United States and anti-dumping measures by the European Union cannot solve the problem of trade deficits. If democratic countries believe that the human rights and welfare protection of hundreds of millions of Chinese farmers and vulnerable groups are not related to you, it will gradually lead to a decrease in the standards of wages and welfare protection for labor in democratic countries (such as left-wing political parties in the United States proposing policies to reduce social welfare protection), because although labor in various countries cannot move freely, But capital is profit driven and can flow freely. Also one of the best I think that an interviewer has given him haha. Yesterday I watched a guy named Lex Fridmen (who has millions of subscribers somehow) interview Mearsheimer, and the guy could barely form a coherent thought, let alone a coherent question lol. The whole time I felt like Lex shouldn't have been conducting his interview because he knows like nothing about the topic so he barely knows what to even ask, and it really showed in his (attempts at) follow up questions. Gita, on the other hand, actually seems like he knows at least the basics on the topic and asks actually thoughtful questions that I haven't seen asked in other interviews I've watched/read by Mearsheimer.

Hello everyone! I am a worker with a Chinese "peasant identity" (under Chinese identity politics and household registration system, farmers are considered the lowest end of the population). After Professor Qin Hui's ideological enlightenment and awakening, I very agree with Professor Qin Hui's point of view: in the current context of globalization, the constitutional democratic system is being challenged by the autocratic Chinese model (that is, bad money drives out good money). Democratic countries around the world must deeply understand and understand the fact that since the CCP came into power in 1949, hundreds of millions of Chinese farmers have worked hard to pay public food, agricultural taxes The construction of water conservancy projects for free provided the CCP with the original financial accumulation at the beginning of the founding of the People's Republic of China. To change the Communist Party government's use of the "low human rights" and "negative welfare" system of China's vast vulnerable group of farmers in unfair competition in the globalized trade market, democratic countries around the world have the responsibility to supervise and pressure the Chinese government to demand an increase in the human rights and social welfare protection of hundreds of millions of Chinese farmers and disadvantaged groups, in order to solve the problem of trade fairness under economic globalization. The trade sanctions imposed by the United States and anti-dumping measures by the European Union cannot solve the problem of trade deficits. If democratic countries believe that the human rights and welfare protection of hundreds of millions of Chinese farmers and vulnerable groups are not related to you, it will gradually lead to a decrease in the standards of wages and welfare protection for labor in democratic countries (such as left-wing political parties in the United States proposing policies to reduce social welfare protection), because although labor in various countries cannot move freely, But capital is profit driven and can flow freely. Professor John changed the concept of "hegemony" quietly. What China pursues is Economic success and Technological and Scientific innovation. Apart from his strongly pro-Russian viewpoint, one could see him as a strong believer of the "Cold War Religion", which tells that a group of certain countries are untouchable. As you said. Terpaksa menggunakan strategi militer (operasi Trikora) walaupun peluang berhasilnya kecil dan faktanya secara militer gagal, Namun secara politik menang. Belanda menyerahkan papua ke pbb, pbb menyerahkan kerakyat papua sendiri lalu dibuatlah PEPERA.

I would humbly like to add to Mearsheimer's points. As someone who immersed himself in Chinese history as a young boy and is currently taking business in university. I believe that the United States are overlooking a few things, including Professor Mearsheimer.
1. The Chinese, historically, have a concept called the "Tributary System." Basically, a pragmatic China would leave their neighbors alone as long as they pay "tribute" to the Chinese. The US have a perspective as if, wherever China walks, autocracy will follow similar to the Cold War with Communism. I don't think that is the case. China doesn't care about the internals of other countries as long as "they paid tribute." The Yuan Dynasty only invaded the Singhasari because our ancestors did not pay tribute. I think this idea of pragmatism will be highlighted as China's soft power projection in the future. The world can trust China more because they never coup a third world country, unlike the US.
2. The Chinese are incredibly long-term oriented. This is the lands of Sun Tzu and their warfare tactics revolves our deception. I don't think Taiwan is China's end goal. Taiwan is just a distraction. I think a Chinese-dominated international finance is the end goal. We see how Saudi Arabia turned from the US after Chinese exports of Saudi oil eclipsed that of the Americans. They see the power in buying themselves friends. If one day China invaded Taiwan, it would be in a day where Southeast Asia have been dominated with Chinese money and SK-Japan no longer becoming advanced economies due to their advancing age demographics. They are playing the long game. They are sacrificing their short-term goals in Taiwan for long-term financial dominance.
3. Many American theorists (even in UA-cam) predicted that China will collapse anytime soon. They are underestimating the Confucian culture of the Chinese society. They said when China opened the COVID-19 restrictions because of the protests, it becomes as symbol that China will collapse. China doesn't work like that. When the West has a concept called "Divine Right to Rule," China has a more transactional-based concept to justify rule called the "Mandate of Heaven." Basically, this includes an Confucian ideal where the people give their full loyalty to the state and in return, the Chinese state will protect and provide their needs. China opening the COVID-19 restrictions is a symbol that the PRC is acting in accordance to the Mandate of Heaven and Confucian ideals. They are listening to the people. If anything, the Chinese would appreciate their government more after the protests.
Chinese philosophy is very pragmatic. Their government will not collapse just because a government official is contradicts another. America's greatest mistake will be to use their line of thoughts on the Chinese instead of trying to learn from the Chinese's own unique eastern-way of thought. The Chinese, humiliated by the West for 200 years, have known the Western way of thought all too well evidenced by their love of Mearsheimer. There is a Chinese advantage in war of minds. In the past, I like to say to my International Relations friends in campus that "the Americans are playing chess, while the Chinese are play mahjong." Mearsheimer is right when he says the Americans have to take the Chinese more seriously.

Wednesday 24=05-2023 Those of the West leaders & those that knew of it supporting them having done wrongs again & as coming to their climax to succeed as sadly the lacking and costly way they had to more peoples & any other way from the way they did it having made so clear they had in the wrong, That Russia at last responded to those of the West making War on them as part of doing what they are of, and can be an opportunity if we bring their defeat. With the leader that has lead the defense from the West. Mearsheimer is basically saying this: don't waste time fighting Russia. Fight China because China will be a bad hegemon. American hegemon is better.
In reality, China will not be a hegemon even if it wants to. Because it will be a multipolar world, crowded with US, EU, and Japan together and new ones appearing like India, Brazil and Indonesia.
Moreover, China wants to do investments and trade. It does not interfere with internal affairs of others. In trade and investments, everyone wins.
US is all about power and control. It's not interested in developing other countries. It has 800 bases all over the world to coerce others, to assassinate, kidnap, sanction and invade on endless wars. It wants to protect USD as the world reserve currency in order to keep printing free USD for huge military expenditure.

He does not give a damn what Ukraine and other Russia's Eastern European neighbours think and want in all of this. He is stucked in Cold War era when Eastern Europe was Russia's backyard. Someone, please tell him, Eastern Europeans are free. They are not Russia's slaves or a buffer zone and they hate Russia for a reason. It is called own experience with Russia over the centuries. War in Ukraine was never about Nato at Russia's borders. Nato is there for decades and never invaded Russia. Russia loves invading and annexing its smaller neighbours just because it can. If Ukraine had been in Nato. Putin would have not invaded it. Ukrainians will not sacrifice their freedom and land just because Russia has nukes.
