American Psycho, The Machinist, Batman Begins, Rescue Dawn, 3:10 to Yuma, The Dark Knight. These movies, up to this point, should've gotten him Academy Award nominations and some wins. Like for The Machinist and The Dark Knight for instance he could've won for, maybe for 3:10 to Yuma, but either way he did deserve it for this film. Great performance. For this and everything he's done.
Well, everyone else was. I suspect he was in such a bad mood during that year because of all the press and media attention he was having to deal with. Which likely led to his explosion in late July when film 'Terminator Salvation'. It was his first REALLY BIG blockbuster. Batman Begins had recieved limited attention. The Dark Knight was everywhere.
He grew up in South England as a child but has been in so many American movies and lived there as an adult, that he has adopted part of the accents of different areas.
