Everyone has a family history and I’ve been researching mine for 45 years. Thank goodness for the Internet 👍. I think my attitude towards life has been improved since learning about my ancestors’ stories - I like that this mom brought her son and relatives into her journey to honor all those who came before them. If not for the courage and survival of our ancestors WE would not be here!
Please keep doing these videos! Through my DNA test I was able to connect with 2 uncles who were given up for adoption at birth, even helping one reunite with my bio grandma before she died last summer. I was also able to connect to a half aunt and attend my bio grandmother's funeral, where I also met my bio dad for the first time. I am now sharpening my skills by doing trees for others. It is magical to remember those who came before us and the struggles they faced so we didn't have to!
Because of my cousin who found records from my great aunt who passed away several years ago I have more information about my family. My great grandparents escaped from Ukraine during the Polgroms in the early 1900’s. My great grandmother comes from Crimea and my I found out that the small town outside Kiyv is Bucha so that is probably where my great grandfather comes from. I have learned my family’s last names of Abramofsky and Udalevich. I know some of my family unfortunately perished in the Shoah. My great grandparents were so brave fleeing Ukraine to get here to the United States.

Actually i saw update on my results. First I had Middle eastern and Italian and none of the Chilean ancestry (Mapuche). Now those two first are gone but the Mapuche ancestry has now the highest percentage. My surprise? Germanic roots went higher as well, which is leading to confirm what my mom used to tell about her (great)grandfather. New Traits? Greek and North American Native. But it is exciting to see this information coming along.
This is really interesting! We hope you've been enjoying exploring your DNA results and learning more as you go! Thank you for sharing, have a wonderful week ahead! 😊

Many Jewish people did change their names so that other people would not have to know that they were Jewish so they would treat them like everyone else and so they would be more safe than they were in their original country.
There were many Jewish men who had that as a name especially if they were German or of Germanic heritage not all of their namers were Hebrew many had the same names as their countrymen had depending on the country and many of the names were common and the same as Gentiles had in given names.

Hello, I would like to ask you if it is possible to change the results of a DNA test before giving the recipient that DNA result.

My grandmother and great-grandmother came over on that same ship :)
That's incredible, Debbie! So many of our stories are intertwined or connected in some way. Thank you so much for sharing. 😊
So the man’s father died two full years before he was born? ( the first story of her ancestors they looked at!)
I was also confused, I’m pretty sure that they were referring to his grandfather
No it was her father's grandfather that died 2 years before he was born.
Got anymore videos of connections to the Titanic?
Probably not
How is she related to her first generation grandfather if the father died years before the child was born
Her father's grandfather.
When are the next ancestry updates

Beautiful video & story, but I never understand who is who on family trees like the one displayed at the end (6:08); I prefer pedigree charts
do you send your kits to every country?

What was wrong with the name Abraham back then? Too Jewish maybe?
Some people just changed their name for whatever reason.
many jewish families changed last names, some people changed first names too to avoid antisemitism or just to make it sound more romanized.
Anybody can have the name Abraham it is not limited to Jewish only.
Many Jewish people did change their names so that other people would not have to know that they were Jewish so they would treat them like everyone else and so they would be more safe than they were in their original country.
A Jewish guy named Adolf lol
I know, right!
It used to be a popular name!
@@valleygirl2530 yeah that’s how a lot of kids get their names

You name everyone by name in your video titles but here you call Allison “woman”. Have some respect.
