  • Li Time sent us this battery for review, this is unpaid but we did get the battery for free.
Overall we like it, small, compact, only downside is no low temp charge protection.

Wow, your introduction was fantastic! You've solved my recent dilemma of choosing between various battery brands. Thanks to your video, I'm even more convinced that LiTime batteries are great.

Great review, LiTime's reputation for quality and service is giving me the comfort knowing that I will have quality gear because, as I said, we rely on battery power to live our RV lives; remain comfortable, warm, cool, cook, etc. I am very much looking forward to installing LiTime's batteries. Thank you for your sharing.

I got two of these from PowerQueen for my dad's camper and they came with nearly identical AC IR of 3.68mΩ, at the same voltage of 13.21, and both yielded 105Ah and 1364Wh. Serial numbers are very close together so I'm guessing same batch. Obviously I was hoping for "batched and matched" cells and I'm fairly certain they are so putting them in parallel should be no problem whatsoever. They're going his smaller Opus camper so likely they won't get much use but I plan on checking them after a year to see how storage in not so optimal conditions is for them (AZ, will be left in the camper's battery compartment which is inside under a bench in the middle of the camper. The camper does stay shaded under a large tree in my brother's "RV area" behind a gate at the end of his driveway so they will have to deal with some higher temps throughout the summer but I doubt they will ever get above 50C even in the hottest parts of the years thanks to the shade)
It appears that if PowerQueen, LiTime, and Redodo aren't related they are using the same manufacturer as all their batteries have identical construction. PowerQueen did tell me what their BMS specs are and I was surprised to see that they are quite conservative on the top end which is what I would prefer. The one issue I had with them is that during their first charge at about 10A they hit overvoltage around 13.86V so hopefully the BMS can fix the slight imbalance and get them up to 14.20V after a few cycles.
Here's their response to my inquiry about BMS parameters. ODP is a little low and I was able to take both batteries down to 10V so they acted like they were bottom balanced. I cut my discharge testing off right after they dipped below 10V as I think taking them below 2.5V per cell is pushing them too low even for a single discharge test. Regular cycling I wouldn't want them to go below 2.75V per cell. I did find it funny that they were confused how I was able to determine cell overvoltage...its quite simple just wait for the BMS to cut off charging, start it back up and watch with a multimeter when it cuts off again. Can't see the individual cell voltages without opening the battery but at least I can get the pack voltage off the terminals. With 3.58V as a max that means pack overvoltage max would be 14.32V so 13.86V leaves 0.46V which I think is a bit much depending on how varied the cell voltages are.
"We want you to know that the full charge level of the battery is infinitely close to 13.8V.
How did you determine that the overvoltage protection was activated at 13.8V?
    1、Single cell overcharge protection V 3.58 CELL MAX > 3.58V
    2、Single section overcharge recovery V 3.48 CELL MAX < 3.48V
    3、Single-section over-discharge protection V 2.25 CELL MIN < 2.25V Charging recoverable
    4、Single-section over-discharge recovery V 2.45 CELL MIN > 2.45V
    5、Equalized turn-on voltage V 3.455
Under normal condition, any one cell voltage is higher than the equalization detection voltage, the rest single cell voltage is lower than the equalization detection voltage, turn on the equalization."

Power Queen has similar, in fact it looks like identical specs (case and all). These should be very popular.

PowerQueen, LiTime, and Redodo …. all the same (except for colors), and possibly Customer Support.

    Interesting battery.
The website specs have a statement saying "1st Gen LiTime BMS, safe and reliable for 10 years of everyday use".
I've never seen a comment on BMS life in battery specs before and do not know what to make of it.

just stupid marketing talk. Coming from a department that is clueless about cell chemistry and electronics.

I specify that I have a 70 lb brushless electric motor that runs on 12v, is the 12v 100mh or the 12.8 mini model better?

My wife Sarah was worried about losing power during her camping trip, but with her new LiTime lithium battery, she was able to keep her electronic devices charged for the entire trip without having to worry about running out of powerNice review!

I have two batteries 12 v 200 amp with built-in 200 amp bms, I need 48 v voltage and I need to buy two more to connect them in series.
But I can no longer find with 200amp bms, can I buy with 100amp bms and connect them to the 200amp bms?
    Thank you

I’d highly recommend repurposing those 12v batteries and buy 48v batteries. You’ll have the to add battery balancers to keep those 4 batteries in sync.
You can try what you’re thinking, but you may have BMS issues under high load.

Li Time is priced in the upper part of the low cost tier. However I think this is unwarranted. There are brands that offer thermal protections that can be purchased for about $100 less. Thus should be a $200 battery at best…….

Please link me to a battery with low temp protection (a 100Ah 12V) that is under $300. These exact batteries can be had from PowerQueen for about $280.

It’s not a reliable company, the company not responsible for missing packages. The FedEx made a mistake delivered my packages to wrong address, and li time us doesn’t want to refund my money. Already deal with them almost a month, now I have to do dispute on my credit card charges. It’s been a terrible experience.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how this "mini" battery has as much power as the regular sized 100 Ah? Could there be downsides?

    • @sotasolar
      @sotasolar  Рік тому

Less empty space. Before they were making a 100ah battery to fit a group 27 or group 31 spec. This is just as small as possible. On a traditional group 31 lithium battery there is 50% empty space.

Huh…. Why was that left out… oh I know because the price may change. Not because someone completely forgot to mention it.
Also it’s $369 currently. Nice little guy.
