I’ve been a house painter since I was 14. I’m 28 years old now and I’m just now hearing of these ! I ordered the estimators and can’t wait to give them a go. Great video brother !
oldie but a goodie lol. i need to make an updated one.
Had mine for 6 months, cleaned off no more than 60 roofs and gutters and one boot split at one of the seams.
I contacted via email this morning.
Hope they replace the one boot that failed.
I just ordered a pair of Performer boots for my son! Cannot wait till they arrive middle of next week! He is going to be so surprised!
name taken let us know how that goes 😁
How’d it go
Yeah how it go
The roof demonstrated is felt but what about grip on a galvanized roof? Do ya wear magnetic boots?
@@hendersonharewood7123 these cougar paws work well on asphalt composite roofs not to be used on metal roofs more than a 6/12 pitch for those you would use a magnetic shoe or be very skilled at climbing metal roots
Cougar paws are dope af but Bruh, please set your ladder 3rings above eave/gutter. Then use a gutter guard ans an outright ladder strap. Stay safe y’all
Noted 🤘
I didn't hear if the shoes were steel tipped or composite.
@@hendersonharewood7123 these are not steel toe shoes.
I just ordered the estimator version of these. I usually get away with just tennis shoes but i need some cougar paws
Miguel Saenz for sure, I only use these on 8/12 and up when its degranulated. I love them.
Miguel Saenz I used to always just wear tennis shoes, until I slid down a 10/12 3TAB Roof, now I always put on my cougar paws on any 3 Tab above an 8/12
Growing up roofing with my dad it’s was always low cut vans for me. These look nice
I always have a deep hate for architects and their poorly thought out designs.
I may get some when I can just ordered a pair of Thorogood but I want something that isn't so harsh on shingles when hot. Do these prevent the shingles from messing up like with normal boots?
HERPY DERPEDY theres boots help with traction and scuffing the shingles.
I was debating getting them do you really think they give better grip? Using Georgia romeos now but I don’t want mall on roofs as much as roofers but do get on a few
For the shoe in video I’ve heard its best to order size 1 to 1 1/2 smaller? True? Thank you.
Man they didn't have these twenty years ago when I was Roofing! Whoever thought of this deserves to be rich!
They were designed by people who were roofer themselves. It’s a great idea.
Are these any good for walking on plywood? I slip a lot when there’s saw dust everywhere on the sheathing and wanted to buy these but I’m not sure
Not for saw dust Jay. Just normal shingles. 👌🏽
@@RoxRoofing thank you!
I'm curious Do the sizes run true?
im 10.5 i got some 11s. they fit good. I got them at my local roofing supply store. We have SPEC, ABC, Southern here. I walked in and fitted them. I wear WIDE shoes normally though. I would recommend getting .5 bigger. Good luck.
@@RoxRoofing Thank you
Where you get em from cuz I seen em for like 200 and 50 for new soles
Sounds about right, they definitely went up. You can find them at local roofing supply stores.
I got these and they ain’t cheap.. pads expensive, shoe’s expensive, shipping expensive 🤦🏾♂️ but it’s cool to spend the money to feel safe.
Does anybody else get shin splints using these
Or is it just because they are new
How do you advertise a roofing boot and fly the colors of your business implying a hypothetical roof pitch quoting " This is a 10 pitch its not a 9 or a 12 at least it doesn't feel like it" that doesn't give the viewer of your video confidence in purchasing them. " PITCH OF THE ROOF" would be the main selling point just like your estimate would call for if you were doing this job. Any how if you could do a repost on a 12/12 pitch would be a real positive assurance of a product to recommend 👍
outsidelookingin2 you’re right. I should’ve taken a pitch gage to it.
But, I can say with certainty that the left and right slopes were 12/12 + and the front and back were 8 or 10/12.
By bad on assuming, you got me!
@@RoxRoofingno you shouldn't have. You clearly know what you are talking about. The tingling of the nads wasn't present indicating it was not 12/12. The euphoric feeling you get when walking with ease wasn't present indicating it was not 8/12.
Waste of money by laugh at anyone that shows up on a job site with those things you know there a newbie
$144 & $162 plus tax
sounds about right... well worth the investment.
I could climb up a valley bare foot smh. Terrible demo
Good for you! Lol 😂
Sure you can. 😏
@@romanfields7900 if you can't you should be ashamed
