I installed for 25yrs and now i sell them at my store and everyone that has bought a pair came back to get their crew a pair. The covers are necessary if you come down off the roof though.

Standing seem is easy to get an anchor for. What about non standing like the overlapping type? What kind of tie off anchor?

I want to know the science and engineering explanation for the magnets when I'm exerting way more downward force on those soles that magnets are negligible

Cut out the front and let your toe stick out. It most likely be warm if you are on a roof anyways for any job.
