EXCLUSIVE!- R44 SCRAP CARS LEAVING 207 YD (8-22-12)

- Seen passing under 215th St. Station on the number 1 line is a two car "train" of R44 cars being towed by tractor trailers. The cars were R44 "B" cars 5267 and 5265. The tractors are seen turning down on Broadway with the R44's making their final journey out of New York. As of this writing, I do not have info where these cars were headed to. Any help?

Unfortunately, because the video was shot with an iPhone, it uploaded showing a narrow field instead of the full view. This is not how I usually post my vids, but I used what was available to capture that moment.
Thanks for the info. According to sources an AB set is in Coney Island yard. So some maybe spared from scrapping.

SIR still uses the R44 to this day
There are a few in scrapyard in Kearny NJ. Six cars already met the shredder there.

Some R44s have been spotted at Naporano in Newark off the Skyway.
Now we can't pull their doors :(

Their headed out to a scrap yard in NJ, not sure of the name of the place.

No they had wheel/door problems
They wouldve still been here if they werent decaying so badly. They retired premeaturely
It's actually in Ohio where the cars will be scrapped.
