Everyone mentions the stripes on both trains as the difference. But another difference is the R44s had the glass panels inside by the doors while the R46s doesn’t.

Excellent upload! I miss the sound of the brake release of the R44s! 😁🎧
Thanks
Very nice. The least missed car type ever, since the R46 swooped in and replaced them on the same line.
Speak for yourself. Many loved these cars.
These cars are very similar to the R46 so its almost as if a replacement never even occured .
@@ArrowIIIRailfan the stripes are different in the r44s, plus they have different rollsigns
@@ejdsndnj Yes I know but I mean in the eyes of a normal person .
Ironic memories of where I grew up @ 211th/Isham St & B’way.
Thanks for posting. Missed the R-44’s on my A line
I recently visited NYC, and I saw the transit museum. The R44 was there, too. It was a really cool train.
Nice videos thank you for posting this
Thanks

35:22 Nice way to point out the differences between the two models.
Simple. Look at the stripe. If it has no stripe it’s an R46, if it has a stripe it’s an R44.
good video bro! 😎🆒
4:03-4:48 FOAMMMMM!!!
funny seeing you here im watching this after you saw that R44
WHAT THE PHIL YU
Someone recorded the R40M in April 2006 with W train
There was one set of R44 on the F line
No it wasn't
I wish they had a retirement run
Sadly I was unable to see an r44 on the f in 2009
Like a train
36:03 R45
So why are the remaining 4 car set r44 sitting at CI shops?
Cause there either reserved for employees or are waiting to be shipped out to the SIR

Dont worry about that. R46 still run today! This is alternative of R44. We will miss you.....rest in peace R44
They still run on the SIR today
Well until the R211’s take over
She’s being replaced by Baby R211S.
Make way
If the MTA would have taken better care of the R44’s instead of focusing to make them more advanced, they would probably still be here today.

Why doesn't MTA sell their trains after retirement
I DON’T KNOW
I can tell the difference
Depressing, I loved these cars and they should have outlasted the R32's.
