Hey, Rax, I think you'll get a kick out of this. I got primal monk boots trying to convert them to gloves in the Cube. I was getting pretty angry because they kept rolling up as boots 3 or 4 times in a row. Then suddenly they came up primal boots, which should be impossible. That's when I realized I had accidentally selected the Reforge Legendaries formula by mistake. LOL.
Man I've watched tonnes of end game guides and never have any idea what the heck they're talking about??!! This was the easiest to follow and understand! Thank you.
I agree with the fact that "town is lava" but I personally need a few seconds in between rifts for my sanity. If you are like me and get burned out way faster if you just play, play, play, then feel free to take a breather in town every few rifts. You'll want to play more and have more fun and that's what it's all about in the end.
@Will Meyer While I agree with your overall point I must say that it depends on the type of person you are. Some people play games solely for the story/gameplay while others may enjoy story/gameplay a good amount but the main reason they play said game is for the competitive aspect. A good portion of the people that play this genre, in particular, are those that enjoy the end result and satisfaction of knowing they had the stronger will power than most to grind out those power gains over the more casual players. So I don't think going as far as to call them idiots is fair. Even the most casual of players know how much of a pain it is to grind things out when you aren't seeing much of an immediate reward, no matter how much you love the gameplay and the number of breaks you take. That's why most of them quit to begin with.
I have been on and off Diablo 3 and my goal has been for years to solo a GR 70, and I still havent managed it. However I did manage to identify for myself most of the stuff Rax is giving us tips about, except (of course) spending too much time in town and the other one being that Greater Rifts offer much quicker paragon levelling than Nephalem rifts do. I am hoping that this time I will finally manage to beef my character up (Wizard with Vyr set) enough to do a GR70 solo.
@@waltertav Good Luck! It's a good idea to try to get that done so primals start to drop. Honestly, if you just want to get that done, it can easily be accomplished by a lot of builds. I did GR 70 on day 1 this season with my whirlwind barb. Otherwise, just keep at it.

Great video man, i have been trying to explain this to my friends so i linked your video instead you speak very clearly and stress the points in a good way, very good video man, liked and shared.
Raxxanterax, I have learned some of things you are explaining the hard way, other things I have caught on. Your video is on point, the simple things you explain early on at the beginning of a season make since, very simple tips to help progression quickly. I often wonder how people get 3k paragon, etc. I havent been playing long but the highest I have achieved is 1200+ in a season. Your tips will help with my progression earlier on, buying more time for me to farm paragon during the season. Great Job! I would encourage anyone new to Diablo 3 or seasonal play to view this first to save time and spare the pain of learning it the hard way.
I’m extremely late to the party but I’ve been getting into Diablo lately and I’d like to become effective. Thanks a lot for your guide I’ve definitely been learning alot
I've loved the series ever since I first played Diablo on my Playstation 1 well over 20 years ago. As someone who absolutely loves ARPGS, I tend to scatter myself across a lot of titles in the genre... but thanks to your videos, I always end up coming back to Diablo 3, learning more about the game, and loving it more and more each time I play it. I get into a mode where even though my eyelids won't stay open, I'm like... "Must... do... one more... GR... **passes out on keyboard**....." lol... Thanks for all that you share with us through your videos about this awesome game; I've learned so much! And I'm already salivating, thinking about the content you'll be putting out when Diablo IV comes out.
i been following rhykker quite well for the past couple years but stumbled upon your channel recently, very glad i did, i enjoy your content a lot, thank you, sir 😊
I wish I would of found this video like 3 weeks ago. Season 20 also my first ever season I've done and I've waisted so much time and resources not knowing what to do. Thanks for this, maybe s21 will be more efficient for me.
Very thorough guide Rax, took some time to put that all together but the players thank you bro! Even the players that have been playing a long time can learn a few things every now and then.
I played D3 when it first came out, before seasons were implemented. Just started again in season 19. After seeing this, I cant wait for season 20. I wasted so much time out of ignorance. Thanks for schooling me!
IF your goal is high paragon and pushing the leader board, there is something he alluded to that is possibly as important if not more to the "town is lava" advice. You gotta group. For the exp. For pushing higher rifts to level gems. For bounties. For 1-70 fast. For everything. I will admit I fit into the casual gamer category on this and very rarely group over a 3-person party. I'm satisfied with getting guardian, finishing a solo rift around 100, have never "fished" for a rift, and usually don't even get to 1k paragon in a season; and that's ok because this game is nicely tailored for people of different play styles as long as you don't set unrealistic expectations. This is a very good video on what you need to expect if you plan on "pushing it" or play with someone who is.
Great guide. Last season I unlocked Primals. I started a new class. Crafted a hellfire ring to level the new character. Surprise! The Hellfire ring was a primal ancient. Not planned, totally unexepected given the low drop rate... Greater Rifts: Higher difficulty (boon of the hoarder/gold wrap/band of avarice) survivability tricks don't work. Higher risk, higher reward.
Best place to get the white, yellow, and blue crafting mats is templar level (you get them faster there than anywhere). You loot the weapon/armor racks there to get a ton of white items (some blue/yellows rarely but mostly white) and you end up getting over 100 white parts every 90 seconds or so (just remember to spam spacebar to make the templars stop talking faster). You get more parts per white item then yellow/blue items and you can then convert those white parts into yellow/blue parts using cube. That does require you to have campaign mode act 5 part 3 or higher unlocked but you can usually ask around and find someone who has it. Other than that the second best place is the battlefields of eternity map to loot the decaying armor/weapon piles but you get less mats per minute that way and mobs will attack you (you do not fight at all in the other run). That being said when you do a rift you get gr keys which are more important for end game and therefore are usually better for that reason. Also, a link to the full leveling guide would be nice for those who have disabled the popups but other than that great guide and by far the best one I have found so far.
Friend just sent this to me. Fantastic guide. As with everything there is no magic pill or 1 thing to make the world perfect. It's all about streamline your process and grind. Thank you so much. I am farther already than I normally get in a season and its still the first week and we are two people down. I will share with all I play with.
Don't forget about the powerleveling communities you can join. Also if it's a second character, use gold to xp bracers in cube and have a friend carry you through puzzle ring portals.
I read and watch a LOT of your videos and have for quite some time, again, knowledgeable, thorough insightful, most of information I knew but still good to go over basics right before season start. Wish all best of luck for a great Season 21! The Batman
Great vid, thanks. Also an update for Season 23 - since S23 allows you to gear your follower, equip them with Sage's and Cain's 3x set bonuses, for extra Death's Breath and extra Greater Rift Keys. You can get both 3-set bonuses with a Royal Ring of Grandeur that reduces set pieces required for the bonus by 1.
Came back to this video to give it another view and drop a like to help get it to 1 million views. Congrats on your growing success on UA-cam and Twitch Raxx! Looking forward to playing in the community days!

This channel needs a lot more love and viewers! Awesome work, thanks a lot 🙃 You're gold dude
Big compliment, thank you option!
Nice guide. I only suggest that you watch it on speed 1.25 take half the time to watch and remember"town is LAVAAAAA"
Lmao, he hit me right in the face when he said YOU SHOULD NOT BE HEADING BACK TO TOWN TO SALVAGE YELLOWS AND BLUES
even a year later i still come back to this video to remind me that town is lava! Love you Rax
Town is lava!
I was in downtown just now and some random dude kept yelling, "Get out! It's lava here!"... Now I know why he said that
He was a bunch of people wasting time downTOWN
The sheer amount of mats you have is more than Ive had or spent during 13 seasons lol, Great job, great video
Loved the way you talked and explained things in this video!!
Thank you Emil!
Im done season journey 1 through 4 and didnt know thats how i get my rewards... i love you man
Love you too!
Great video man, i have been trying to explain this to my friends so i linked your video instead you speak very clearly and stress the points in a good way, very good video man, liked and shared.
Thank you for the wonderful comment my friend!
Appreciate the comment my friend. Sometimes learning the hard way is the best way to master something!
I’m extremely late to the party but I’ve been getting into Diablo lately and I’d like to become effective. Thanks a lot for your guide I’ve definitely been learning alot
+1 to this exact thing
Appreciate the lovely comment my friend, happy to have you here on the channel :)
ps1 diablo... had it on both platforms. what an embarassement.
i been following rhykker quite well for the past couple years but stumbled upon your channel recently, very glad i did, i enjoy your content a lot, thank you, sir 😊
Appreciate that very much Alvan, thank you!

Like wise popped up on my content today.
Great work.
Overall by far the best D3 guide out here
Thank you my friend!
I wish I would of found this video like 3 weeks ago. Season 20 also my first ever season I've done and I've waisted so much time and resources not knowing what to do. Thanks for this, maybe s21 will be more efficient for me.
Awesome my friend, season 21 will be great with the new necro and DH sets!
I have played Diablo since Diablo 1 came out. This might be the best and most structured guide i seen so far. Thanks alot for the insight!
You're very welcome!
Great tips and advice for the big time players and useful for everybody else.
Very thorough guide Rax, took some time to put that all together but the players thank you bro! Even the players that have been playing a long time can learn a few things every now and then.
Appreciate that my friend!
This is the best ever proper great wonderful amazing explanation I have ever heard. I went on and TOWN IS LAVA!!!!
Thank you for the nice comment Luke :)
I've just started playing D3 (approx. 2-3 months ago) and this video is immensely helpful! Keep it up!
Awesome my friend, glad it helped!
100% epic vid!! Perfectly explains efficiency and how to avoid bounties as much as possible 😍🤩😍
I played D3 when it first came out, before seasons were implemented. Just started again in season 19. After seeing this, I cant wait for season 20. I wasted so much time out of ignorance. Thanks for schooling me!
You’re welcome my friend, hope you enjoy the next season!
Beautifully explained! Keep up the good work. Thanks for the hints :)
Anytime!
That's true Kenny, D3 favor group play way more than solo
This dude . I love hearing him talk 😅 sometimes he will look at the camera and say "mmk"
Wow, primal hellfire first try? Never seen that before :O
So glad I watched this video. RIP to all the damn rings offered to the hope of cain xD
Hahaha happy it helped :)
Do you really have to be a motard and put USMC in your name? Fucking boot...
@@dizzlethedevil6845 uhhh you better thank him for his service!
Awesome video, great explanations, clear voice. Very well thought of. Subbed
Appreciate that Gambit :)
Friend just sent this to me. Fantastic guide. As with everything there is no magic pill or 1 thing to make the world perfect. It's all about streamline your process and grind. Thank you so much. I am farther already than I normally get in a season and its still the first week and we are two people down. I will share with all I play with.
Thank you my friend and godspeed!
Don't forget about the powerleveling communities you can join. Also if it's a second character, use gold to xp bracers in cube and have a friend carry you through puzzle ring portals.
Genius.
I read and watch a LOT of your videos and have for quite some time, again, knowledgeable, thorough insightful, most of information I knew but still good to go over basics right before season start. Wish all best of luck for a great Season 21! The Batman
appreciate that my friend
Holy shit that is so perfectly explained. I had no idea what I was doing lmfao
Marcan harriss same bruh
Ditto. I had no idea you had to do a GR70 before Primal Ancients became unlocked. Thought I was just crazy unlucky. Been spamming GR55-60's. /facepalm
It’s aight homie, you’ll get badass
Really nice guide. I knew almost everything, but it is so well structurated I kept watching.
Thank you my friend :)
Raxxanterax: TOWN IS LAVA!
Also Raxxanterax: Sits in town the whole time
Great vid, thanks.
Great video! Stay efficient ;)
Rob2628 thank you buddy, big fan!
Great tips and tricks. I am always stumped due my too "fear" of playing GRs with strangers :(
Great video guide this is by far the best I've watched on efficiently getting the most out of your time invested in playing D3.
This was super helpful. I appreciate you helping the community! This is going to help me as I return after a long absence from the game
Appreciate the lovely comment David, happy new year!

Thanks Dustin, hope it helped!
This was truly inspirational. Liked, and subbed.
Appreciate the lovely comment Andre, thank you!
I've got a friend whom I've known since original Diablo (yes, we're THAT old). I'm casual D3 but he's nearly as dedicated as Rax. My buddy gives me excellent advice on builds and stuff, but this video was a great bunch of efficiency tips that I will strive to implement. Might make me less of a drain on his time when we run together. Thank you sir!!
dude, this video is just what i needed, instant sub, can already tell im gonna get alot out of this sub
Appreciate that my friend :)
