Happy to see a review of this item. I've been considering purchasing this oven for awhile.
I bought mine about two years ago. I am super happy with it. I use it more than my microwave. You have to move the food around for sure, but that's part of cooking anyways.
I just bought one yesterday, and thanks to you I am able to use without instructions, you😀 covered all the features. Thank you for such a thorough review.

I have an older Hamilton Beach convection oven, it has been reliable for many years, I mostly do pizza but have baked bread in it a few times. The main issue is that the interior height is to low, the bread rises to the top elements.

You did a really good job of reviewing this oven. As you mention the instruction booklet is little to nothing. Thanks so much. I am going to try baking some red potatoes. I really do like using toaster oven. I don't think I will be using the Air Fryer.

One of the very few who show the cord and that’s the last type of cord I wanna be using because my other countertop convection oven the cord always got so warm and a year and a half later I got spark plug it in and now it’s dead in the water

I JUST ORDERED ONE MYSELF
After just buying this exact HB toaster-oven, I watched your detailed and clear review. We had a prior identical “convection” HB that when on that setting you could really hear the fan kick in. I turned the new one to air fryer, started it up, and there is only a slight change in noise level. If it has a fan I can barely hear it. Does it sound defective or are the new fans so quiet?

I have this fryer and I think you should’ve put the temperature up to the recommended temperature which is 450. I do this when I use it so far I really like this fryer. I did frozen sweet potatoes chips tonight and they were excellent. I use it for toast every morning and it’s perfectly toasted on both sides but I make sure that it’s positioned over the Element. Thank you for the video there were a few things that I had missed.
Question. Do you use temp of 450 fir ALL air fry meals.? Alot of cook books show diff temos and the middle button on air fry

Thank you for saying this. If you look closely the 450 degree dial location says Broil, Toast AND Airfry. It’s easy to miss that it says airfry. The first few try’s airfrying left my family disappointed and I’m hoping it’s because we didn’t have it set to the 450 temp. Going to try again using the 450 temp!

I've had mine for a week, and I love it so far. My only beef is I can't figure out how to clean the inside of the glass. The door is supposed to come off but there's no way. I guess the glass is going to get gross because I have arthritis and can't get my hand in that small space. Design flaw.
I just lift the door and from the front slide my hand between the lid and back of the door with a soapy cloth, no problem. Obviously I wait till it is totally cool before cleaning. I am sorry you have a handicap, but apart from any physical limitations it is very easy to clean.
@@WaveOvenRecipes Magic Eraser is the only thing that will get that brown film off of the glass. Works well.

Great video! I don't understand why Hamilton Beach has the "unplug when done" warning on ALL of their products. I've had a HB toaster oven for 4 years and never unplugged it or any other electronic device I own. SMH
I am sure their attorney played a role in that 🙂
I ALWAYS unplug small appliances no matter what. It is a good habit to get into.
I bought one, and I expected to hear a fan circulating air and don't. I don't know squat about air fryers, so it may be a stupid question, but does a fan move the air, or just the heat itself? It seems weirdly quiet and I don't know if it's working.

Does it brown the meat? The chicken you cooked didn't look like it was browned or crispy?
I am sure, you can cook anythjng long enough to be as brown and crisph as you want it.

How do you turn temperature dial to air fry , toast , or Bake. Dial does not turn to the symbols
All is demonstrated in the video.
@@WaveOvenRecipes so when you air fry set dial to 450 and don't bother with the symbols on the left of temperature dial? Instructions state to set temperature to air fry. You don't mention this in your video. Why are there symbols on temp dial? Sorry it's confusing.

When I plug my oven in and turn the bake knob and temperature nothing lights up until I set timer why is this
