I feel like this has a story to it.
Many years ago a happy couple got married. They started a business where they made statues, pottery, and paintings. They were highly successful and had owned this shop for many years.
Then one day the man's wife died, he was broken and didn't know what to do. The business started falling, as it was hard to run it alone. Eventually he retired, but he still loved what he did for a living so every day he'd visit his shop and make sculptures. He always thought about his wife though.
One day he was in his shop and he started crying over his loss. He decided to make a statue of her younger self to bring back fond memories. When he was finished he thought about what mattered most in life and thought about his memories with his wife.

What if the statue is a statue of his wife and that's why he is sad. Because she died and he is making this to remember her. I imagine that after she died their cabin became more dry, less full of life. That his life became more jagged rather than smooth. She was the brush, he is the chisel.

What story I thought of when I saw the final drawing:
"It's been 10 years since you went to a better place. Sitting here alone in the sofa with a cup of coffee where we used to sit and holds hands while chatting about little things, now alone I look through the window and the bright sun ray's that are coming through make my eyes sting. But also give me the warmth that you once have given me, when I look at the blinding light it seems like you would descend from Heaven and give me a hug telling me that you came back and I would say 'Welcome home, my dear', but I know that it's not gonna happen. When I look in this room it feels empty without you but as the sun slowly penetrates and fills this room I begin to see you and every little gesture and footsteps that you made, like that time when I was working and you came behind and hugged me, or your face when you said that we would have a baby or when you were singing with your beautiful voice in the kitchen.
All these things make me think of you you're in every corner, every place we used to go and anywhere I look, now as I recall all these beautiful memories of us I slowly get up from my chair and I take my tools and I start to make a sculpture resembling you and as I carve and the sun entering this room a teardrop runs slowly on my wrinkly cheek and the tears come down like a waterfall. Ahh, how I wish I could loved you more I could say 'Thank you for being here' all these words that I never had the chance to tell you enough but you always knew them even if I sometimes was maybe embarrassed to say...My dear beautiful wife my soul I want to say that as I carve this wood doll resembling you my hands are trembling but I feel like you grasp me gentle from behind hugging me stopping my trembling hands and saying that we will be together soon, and when I turn my head and I see you leaving as you wave and say 'I will see you later dear' while ascending to Heaven with your golden wings I feel my heartbreaking and I shout "Please don't leave me I want to stay with even if it's just a little" and then you stopped there for a second and you turned back to me and started crying while smiling and slowly you faded away but I saw that when you were crying you moved your lips and whispered, "I'm leaving dear I will wait for you up there".
And then I'm left once more alone and I turned back to the wooden doll and started to carve once again, and I wrote on it's back "For my precious wife Elizabeth until we can be together again".
And I sat down once again as I take a sip of coffee and look outside while thinking ahh what a beautiful day to go out and a tear is falling down in the coffee cup."
    This may be silly or even bad but I still wanted to write it so yea sorry if it's bad.....^^;

Not only does this drawing bring out emotions, but it tells sentimental story.
Jazza, I don’t know if this is what you intended to portray through the drawing, but this is what I saw...
An old man who has been filled with grief for the past two years since his wife died, sculpts his wife out of wood. They built the cabin together, and he only sees fit, that he make her out of wood, to commemorate her life in the woodworking field. It takes him months to complete it, but he finally does. He carves a little out cove out of one of the logs that is part of the cabin, and places her inside it. So that she will always be there and always part of him and the cabin.

This drawing kinda hit me in a weird place. My grandpa was really talented at art, but especially had a passion for carving. He also wore plaid shirts often and generally looked a lot like the man in the drawing. He's part of the reason why I'm pursuing art right now, up until his death a few years ago he always encouraged me to draw.

Hey Jazza! I love your vids so much and I wanted to suggest a challenge! Its called the Cave Art Challenge. The rules are that you can only use supplies that were available during the stone age such as rocks, water and possibly berries for different colours. I suggested this before and I really hope you do it!
Thanks for putting out such great vids.

I just love this "rough" shading look. It feels, I don't know, artistic. You can see that the piece is well painted but you also can see that there are hints about the painting process that was being made in the drawing previously. Way to go, Jazza.

I don’t know why but this one drawing made me start crying because I made up the old man’s story and his life. Also the sculpture was his daughter who passed away when she was 25 from a horrid car crash (burnt to death) and the man had lost his wife from child birth so the daughter was the only thing he had left to remind him of her but now she was gone,, taken from him with the future losing one more precious light

Guys, the story doesn't have to be sad. What if he's carving that as a wedding gift for his daughter and he's crying because of how proud he is of the beautiful young lady his little girl has grown to be? He'll miss her dearly, but his daughter is all grown up with her own life now, and he couldn't be more happy for her.

Here’s a really cheesy thing that I came up with.. William took his glasses off and wiped off the tears on his face as he smiled happily at the finished miniature statue of the love of his life. He stood back and examined it. She was beautiful. His eyes fell upon the photograph laid out next to it. It was of him and his wife when they were still young and she had not passed. He began to tear up again and his eyes wandered back to the statue. It was like she was staring back up at him with all the joy in the world and said with her eyes ”I love you William.” He exhaled deeply and gently placed a hand onto the statues head. ”Mary. I miss you.”

I think he's a man that when he was young he met a beautiful young lady and they had an spontaneous romance. But one day, not even a year after they met he left to join the military. His lady begged him not to go and to instead stay with her, and although he was very much tempted by this offer, he refused claiming he would be back at the maximum of five years. So she waited and her love never came home, still she sent letters every day. Although he was receiving the letters, he was caught up in the military and was not allowed to go home, or write a letter in response. There wasn't a day when he didn't think about her. Eventually she stopped sending letters because she supposed he was either wasn't receiving her letters, or was killed. Because he receives no more letters the man thought she had given up on him and married another man. He was released from the military a year later. He was to ashamed to return to his love, and too afraid that she didn't love him anymore. So he moved to a small town and worked a carved/widdler. He was loved among the village and he loved the village back. But still he longed for his love and refused to wed any other woman. Time goes on and still they both think of eachother each day always questioning the "what ifs?". More time passes and it's the anniversary of when they first met, a day they will never forget. And so, the man spends his anniversary chiseling a sculpture of her and wishing he hadn't left her. And she spends the day painting him, a handsome young man, and thinking about where he was and if he ever loved her.
This tale is so tragic it almost made me cry.

Vermilion Fox he based the thumbnail after Drake, so he came up with a clever wordplay using a line from Hot-line Bling in which he wore th outfit from the thumbnail. 👏

No need to be rude; you didn't specify. Anyway, other people understood.

I am 35 and i have just started to learn how to draw because of u! Honestly man, you are an inspiration. Aside to your superb artistic capability, your positivity made me believe it is doable! Crazy as it is, i have started one week ago and cant believe how good i became at it because of u. I mean i am not an artist for sure but will work on improving myself for the rest of my life. Big thanks to you. Keep them coming!!!!
