I see artist using the brush nib for EVERYTHING and then ask why the background (especially when they make it only one color, ) looks streaky. THATS WHAT THE CHISEL NIB IS FOR!!! Personally I use the chisel nib for backgrounds of one color and I think it works a lot better! And even if it’s streaky, you just have to layer it a second time! I love your vids and everything, but maybe I feel we should use the chisel nib (or broad nib ) a little more often! 🥺🥰🥰
That's what I'm doing.
Honestly I like the chisel nib but I feel like the brush nib is smoother and easier to work with idk! But not all have the same opinions that what makes us unique ;)

I really love that you don't just blindly praise Ohuhu for giving you free markers. Like, you're not afraid to point out the cons of these markers, such as the somewhat brittle brush tip and the lack of some decent pale colors. In my opinion, those things are very important to be aware of when considering purchasing new markers and I really appreciate that you brought up those things in your video. 💜
Same! I'm so glad because it allows me to decide on whether I want to get it now or wait 'til there's a bigger set later. So I'm definitely gonna wait for the bigger sets now.

For the light colors the reason they don’t make them cheap is because they require more alcohol to balance the pigment so it’s light.
Well, that doesn’t make that much sense, cuz the pigments are more expensive than the alcohol!

Rin’s Expectations for Brush Markers:
1) They must blend
2) They cannot be faded by an eraser
3) (this is the most important)....ahem....... THE CAPS MUST FIT ON THE ENDS!

Update: Largest set is now 216 markers. Includes greyscale, Skin tones & Pastels. Comes with 1 blender. Also, Brush tips are reversible so you get double the life of the nib. Also, to refill, just purchase either the Copic or Touch refills as your markers dry. Same with the tips. That way, you get cheap, but GREAT markers in Ohuhu, and then can slowly refill markers, as needed to make the financial pinch spread over a longer period. I don't love it when people say 'I would recommend Ohuhu for beginners because of XYZ. I am a professional graphic designer - I elect for Ohuhu EVERYTIME. No question. I make more profit by charging the same for my artworks, with way cheaper art materials (markers). Also, once an Ohulu pen runs dry, and I reink it with copic ink, the client then has the benefit of the more 'expensive' ink (although, they would never, never notice).

I reversed the brush tip of two markers, cause they didn’t work so well anymore, thinking I could start again with a refreshed nib. But once i started drawing with those new nibs i noticed they were all dry and didn’t even work that well…
@@yahomeboy5557 Not sure why. The nib itself cannot really be ‘dry’ - it’s likely that the ink is dry? But even if the nib is faulty, you can still purchase cheap nib replacements. 😊
@@kylerathdesign ive read somewhere that by removing the nib and letting it soak in alcohol (for wounds and grazes), the ink will flow better. Then by putting the nib back in the marker and letting it sit up for bout a day or two, the tip should work like a new one. Maybe I did something wrong by letting it sit up without putting the top back on, but it made it worse…😕
I wasnt really feeling these brush markers until when I watched this video, I learned that you can blend really well with them, and thats something that made me surprised, cause i've never seen markers that can blend that well. Tysm for making this video! (btw the way she makes the chracters are so cool)

I've heard of the markers but never used them, but I'm thinking about it. I love the variety of colors.
I used to watch this video so often last year and I was so excited to have these markers that whenever I watch this video again it brings back all the excitement and joy I have for this hobby. Now my markers are almost dead which is pretty impressive to me since I use them almost everyday.😂

I've already got a pretty medium size set on Prisma and Copic combined, I had someone funding my art back in 2011/12 and I didn't realize just how much she spent on these kits of markers for me until I decided to look at a new set of Copic brush kits and holy snaps.... Finally someone who notices 😂. I was at my dad’s and he was looking at my markers and he said “you don’t have a true blue” and I was like huh? I have a ton of blues. And he says, well they are all purple-blues. I finally realized what the letters meant 😂

I’m soooo excited to get the brush markers!! Amazon has a 72 piece set for the brush markers and a skin tone set of 24 colors and I’m saving up to get both. I like the idea you mentioned to find the colors you use most and invest those shades in copics.

the other blues where not named after that acronym PB! You can clearly see the other blues in the shot like cerulean blue which is PB8 ! It is most likely representative of the color Pthalo Blue family with the # designating the hue, saturation, or value.Of course this is based off of my own knowledge of color and not the result of a google search so i ma be wrong, Don't be so quick to judge a person when you dont even pay attention to the video damnit.

No way! Copics are way better quality so you can still be happy with your purchase. Your markers will still be going strong long after Waffle's set has dried up and the nib has come apart.
Copics are great! I use some of my mom's old Copics that she used when she was in college. They're 20+ years old and still work perfectly.✨
You can refill Copics (one bottle of refill can refill a marker around 5 times) and they have more colors.
I actually just got these for Christmas and they’re super cool!
That set arrived at my house today im not a beginer but after testing them i can definently see me using them a lot in the future.

Great video! I enjoyed it. Honestly, though, i have these same ohuhu markers and the metalic lettering isn't impossible to read...in fact, i kind of like it. it feels more regal or special imao. its probably just a preference thing.
