Hello, AB, I just watch this recipe and I'm so happy to have seen this cause I'm going to fix this without the bacon cause we don't eat pork but I'm adding something different like sautéed mushrooms and im adding spinach and this will be one of my dish for the New Year with my black- eyed peas and with turkey leg and meatloaf which are the other two recipes that I'm using that I've seen you make. I love this recipe. After mashing the potatoes and adding cheese I added frozen corn. I don’t think it made your recipe better. I just love potatoes, cheese and corn together.
I will be making this tomorrow, I have been wanting some potato soup lately. And this weather is perfect for it. The only thing I can't use because of my heart is the pork bacon, I love pork bacon. So I'll try the mable turkey bacon instead and hope it taste like fire, as you say. 😂

Well AB. I love potato soup. I would say, after cooking that bacon, sauté the onion and garlic in the same skillet before you put them in the crock pot. The caramelized onions add a extra note in the flavors. Deglaze with a little of the chicken stock.

I also made red beans w and sausage and rice, cornbread, and a peach cobbler! Made all this for my grandsons. They love Granny’s cooking!😂😂😂❤

Tip for slippery gadgets, pans, etc. on counter top: use a silicone baking mat under your gadget, such as that french fry cutter. 👍😍
