Since June I've been doing this workout 3X a week plus getting on a low carb high protein diet I have lost just about 30 pounds and gained lean muscle. Thank You, you have been a great help. I turned a few of my friends on to your channel as well.. I have about 40 more pounds to go and hope to get there by March 2021....
This is perfect for the beginner overweight person! I love this. I have injuries and arthritis, and this is ideal! Please make more of these for this audience! THANK YOU!!
Been doing either this routine or your other 20 minute full body at least 5 days a week for the last 3 weeks. I had a parachuting accident at 16 and lost a lot of strenth in my shoulder and back and also put on a lot of weight over the last 7 years as a result of that. Decided to tackle the issue whilst im still young and can in this lockdown. 3.5kg down so far and feeling stronger every day! Thank you both
I've just done it, and I can say I was shocked just how good an alternative to physical weights resistance band training is. Perfect beginners routine, hits every muscle groups, well thought out video, plenty of time for transition between exercises and if you're using 'rubber bands', ample opportunity to get the right tension. 10/10
Love this video. Just started to lose weight and get fit. I will be coming back to this video a lot over time! Looking firward to more of your videos for overweight people with exercises that are low impact.
I just got back into working out three weeks ago. I'm overweight and everything I'm doing is a challenge. I LOVED this video!! I felt like I had what it takes. The instruction is easy to follow and its ONY 20 minutes. Thank you for creating a workout I don't feel is too much but just enough to feel a really good burn.
Hey, please reply.. I am 28 and overweight.. And never exercised in my life.. Your videos inspired me and I really want cut down my weight and want to be active... And want change my way of living...Can you please guide me
At 56 I’m finally getting healthy and working out, first resistance bands arrived today. I did this and one other beginner video. Easy to follow and could really feel the muscles working!
I needed your video! Just bought my bands and searched quit a few videos. Most were all show, not much real instruction. Your video is just what I needed! Wish me luck on this new endeavor! 💜🙏🏼💜 Oh, and for me, I need a warm up before I start.
Just found your channel, and I love it! You're not about reps and counts, it's about time. I'm an arthritic 50 year old, so this is waaay better for me! If you could tighten up the camera view for a better view of what you're doing would be great, and an explanation of what muscles each exercise works would be awesome. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this. I had bought bands and had no idea where to start. This is very manageable for me while I am overweight. I am having knee trouble at only 38 and I have to make a change for my family. Thanks for making this video.
I'm so glad I found you all in the past 2 weeks. You have such a fun attitude and I feel like I'm exercising with friends. I had lost 62 pounds and hit a plateau. But since I found you guys, I've got 7 more pounds down. Apparently you're my good luck charm. Excited to keep my journey going with you two ♥️
I have been looking for help getting started with My resistance band workout. You make it simple to understand and easy to perform. Thank You and keep the videos coming!
Huge thanks for this. Not many out there designed for the people like myself. I did this one & another one of yours focusing on the legs. My arms are shaking & my legs are sore. But I can at least do it. I'll be saving these & coming back again.
Thank you guys, love you both. You've made such a difference in my life. I've worked out for years. Currently 64 and been working out since my early 20's. Over the years I belonged to gyms and worked out for sometimes 3 hours 5 days a week. Since then I've had home gym equipment and walked miles a day. It wasn't until I first saw your videos with resistance bands that I realized there was another way. Out went the home gym equipment and in went these light bands that can go everywhere with a person. These are the best things I think I've ever seen. I would consider myself in good shape for my age now. On warmer days my dog and I walk approx 2-3 miles per day. I do your videos 5-6 days per week. I cannot thank you enough for everything. You are wonderful kind people and I just love your babies and your dog. Thank you and God Bless
First time doing this workout. I’ve never lifted weights before but I know that will help me. I’m surprised that I broke a sweat was not expecting that lol. New subbie will definitely do again.
I love your videos. As someone who is new to resistance bands, and new to working out at all, they are super helpful, and paced quick enough that I can feel the burn, but not too fast so I'm not getting lost. I'm doing them every day on my off days from the gym now. I def agree with the requests for some longer ones.
Thank you so much for your comment. We are working on getting some longer ones on UA-cam. Our camera (Canon 70D) has a limit to 30 minutes before it stops recording. It makes it a hassle to stop and then begin recording again when editing. We currently do all of our actual workouts in one take so we would have to have a cut somewhere. Which is fine, we just haven’t yet because Cash gets a little tired of us working out around that 30 minute mark. Soon we will have some available though.
Thank you so much for this videos. I love working out with you. I was reading the comments and just ordered the bands you suggested. I have different and I noticed I can’t extend my arm straight up because there is not enough tension. Looking forward to seeing more videos.
Great video. Since I am overweight and a little on the elderly side I found this video to be very helpful. I agree with another comment, more videos for people like us will be great. It's always good to change things. One request I have has to do with the tricep extensions. I work out in my basement and do not have enough ceiling height to do the movements as you are doing them. I am trying to think of how to do them from a chair and haven't come up with a good idea. Thanks again for your videos, I am a subscriber.
I don't think I've had a workout before that felt this balanced and useful. I was able to work out at home and accomplish more in 20 min than a full hour at the gym (and I didn't need to wait for anyone to finish using a machine). Thank you, both!
Due to statewide gym closures, I was somewhat at a loss as to how to use my resistance bands to their full capabilities beyond a few fundamental moves. I found this series of videos and they were just the ticket! Love the timer and time left chart. Thanks for all of your time & effort in producing these videos. You're helping people out, and that's a great thing.
Thank you this is just what I spent a couple hours looking for on UA-cam. I just bought some resistance bands so I can work out at home since going to the gym isn't always practical. I need low impact because of knee issues. I will be checking out more of your videos.
I've never used this type of resistance band, and it's actually been decades since I've done any kind of resistance exercise. I'm tall, and for about the first 3/4 of the workout, I was afraid the band would break and smack me in the head if I stretched it too far, but I'm happy to say both the band and my head are intact. I liked this workout very much, and will definitely check out your other videos.
@@ACHVPEAK hey you guys, sorry to ask but could you point me in the right direction of which excersizes with bands i can do to focus on my knees? i need to strengthen the ligaments around my knee caps, can you guys think of anything to do with the bands?

I just did this workout this am. I feel great. I got a nice pump and I have a clear mind. All done in my living room. I’m gonna keep this going until further notice. Thanks guys
Clayton M. To add to that maybe go a little lighter on the resistance at first since your muscles are not accustomed to it yet. This happens with a lot of beginners who go a little too hard core at first. Def warm up and stretch like mentioned. Maybe I should state that at the beginning and end of each workout too.
@@ACHVPEAK I think I may have have gone a little to hard at, but I honestly think i didn't stretch properly before hand. I would go down in weight but I'm currently on the least weight, not a great feeling. But I already am feeling progress, and that's a GREAT feeling!
If you’re reading this and like these workouts. I can definitely recommend the 8 week plan he has available. At the time of writing I paid $9 💵 possibly the biggest bargain around just now!! It has resistance bands, cardio, abs, stretching and flexibility routines. Measurement pages to print off. Truly a great purchase, especially with this Covid going on.
Love the video. My chiropractor recommended this video as it had some workouts that would help with issues i was having. I started, and it helped. Now my problem came back so i came back to the video, however, i am now 14 wks pregnant and cannot do the second set as it requires laying on ones back completely or partially. I was wondering if you have any modified workouts i can do for that set that would still work those muscles without me having to lay back?
did this for the 1st time, after doing the 12 min beginners one for the last 2 weeks. I'll feel it in my sholders toorrow! Thanks for doing these videos.
Holy crap. First, the twenty minutes flew by. Second, I used a 10 lb, the lightest I have, and my shoulders and arms are achy. I will keep using the 10 lb for now. Even my core feels it.
Hi guys. Love your feed! I just wanted to ask that you convey the importance of safety using the resistance bands. I was doing seated face pulls on Wednesday while wearing shoes that don’t have a lot of grip. Well you can see where this is going. The band hit my eye so hard that I thought I was going to be holding my eyeball in my hand. It filled with blood and barely bruised my cheek. But my eye took the brunt of the impact. It’s better now. But just be careful y’all. And we’ll keep watching. Thanks!
Omg yes. In our recent videos we have been saying to wrap the band(s) around your foot or feet to prevent it from snapping back to your face. We originally said to point your toes but we too have almost had it skip. We will post notes in our earlier videos to let people know. We hope you’re eye heals perfect and your cheek is ok too.
I might be getting the hang of this. Currently, I use the red, green, and yellow bands because to bands are just too light for me. I do tricep extensions the way w. two hands on one band. I haven't quite got the hang of two hands just yet. Have a good night.
How do we know what size bands to use for any certain exercise? When i tied the band around my foot I was afraid the band would snap. This band is up to 20 pounds. Thank you for this video it gives me something to look forward to and helps build my confidence.
Any info on how much resistance is good for each exercise? Like I know just because it says 50lb on the Band that's not the resistance, and it depends on how much you stretch it, but would be nice to have some kind of a value to go by
I got bands for Christmas and have been looking for a place to find great exercises. You guys are amazing. Keep doing what you're doing. You guys have great chemistry. My goal is a loss of 20 by my birthday in March.
I am using Thrive. I'm eating (at least trying) low carb. I'm not doing Keto, the thought of ketosis scares me. I'm doing one of your workouts each day. Once it warms up a little, I will go back to walking once a day as well. Once I lose this 20, my goal will be another 20. I've already lost 30. Yay!
That’s solid progress! Keep it up. What scares you about keto? We did it for a while but now just do lower carbs so we can still have some of the foods we enjoy without feeling guilty for breaking our macros.
@@ACHVPEAK Thank you!!! FYI, my 12 y/o son and 14 y/o daughters just did this video. They all said it was impressive that I kept up. Lol. Also, I was weighed at a dr appt today and I am 13 lbs away from the weight on my driver's license. Yay! A friend of mine was diabetic so we monitored him constantly for ketoacidosis. Messing around with body chemistry just makes me uneasy now. I don't eat sweets all that often, but if I know I can't have them, I crave them more.
Showing the kids that momma’s still got it! Score! You can be back at that weight in no time if you keep it up. If you’re a diabetic you’ll certainly need to monitor more. If you’re not a diabetic I don’t think keto acidosis is possible. I believe it’s only possible if you consume large quantities of alcohol while doing keto. Wish I knew where I got that from. A person with diabetes has a broken feedback loop with insulin regulation and I believe that’s what makes keto acidosis possible. You should consider looking into a little more. I am the same as you though, if I know I can’t have sweets it becomes an obsession of wanting to eat them. I have been know to eat a dozen donuts before noon too! 🍩🌰🍩🌰🍩
Day 1: Really rough, but an enjoyable set. I think i need to supplement with more leg workouts. murder on my legs. DEFINITELY regretting not doing much between the ages of 25 and 35. I should be posting again tomorrow.
You can do this workout a few times a week. With that being said, you should pick a few, say 3-4, workouts and do each one one time per week. Then, every month or two pick a new set of workouts and do them. Just repeat that system and you'll be great.
IT WOULD have BEEN NICE IF INFORMATION WAS GIVEN IN REGARDS TO RESISTANCE BAND WEIGHT IN REGARDS TO DIFFERENT TYPE OF WORK OUT: FOR EXAMPLE, IS 25lbs RESISTANCE BAND GOOD FOR???????/ ETC.
The lying leg extensions works soooooo much better if the handle goes UNDER your foot. Then its pulling in and not sideways. This video makes me crazy seeing you guys put it so the handle is on top of your foot.
Hi, could please tell me which different bands you use for this set of exercise,I currently just one band with the two handles. What would be some good exercises for your S/I joint? Thanks, Craig N
We use a few different brands but our current favorite is black mountain products. We like the 7 band set they offer on amazon for around $37 bucks. Here is the link for these bands: amzn.to/2NM7e8u
I'm new to resistance bands, I just bought them a few days ago. I tried this workout, and I could do the arm stuff but not the leg stuff. I couldn't get the band tied around my feet. How do I tie the band around my feet? I was doing it without sneakers on, but I was wearing socks. Could that be why I couldn't get them around my feet? Thank you.
Hello thank you for sharing these work out videos. I really enjoy doin these exercises I can definitely feel the burn🤗🤗 So I am new the to resistance band training and I see you change bands. So can you please let me know what are the best bands and the difference in the bands to use for your videos.
Lol, maybe it's because it's my first time, but that last exersize burns like you wouldn't believe. Trying to get fit for the new year, so I'm gonna be back a lot
Hi I'm new to resistance band workouts and am overweight, so being on the floor is a tad challenging.. can you offer a modification to the lying leg extension? I can do the one at a time, but to lift both of my legs at the same time is too difficult with my back... thanks! I love your video
hi I am 62 in good sheep I can run 2 miles . would like to tighen up my abs whichone of yuor workouts .would work of me an how many time a week should I do it/
I've been doing these 3 times a week every other day for a month now. How long do you propose we keep doing these sets before moving onto other workouts?
Just tried your workout for the first time. I do not recommend you calling this beginner friendly or something obese/overweight people can do easily. I was in TEARS with how much my lower back hurt after having to lay on the floor, even with a pillow. Moving my legs around between those exercises was an exercise in itself and I couldn't keep up with your video because I had an extremely hard time getting the bands wrapped around my feet or getting the handles over my shoes (and getting them to stay on my shoes). After having the band snap me in the face twice I gave up. Made it 10 minutes. Please get someone who is actually overweight to do these exercises with you before you make a video claiming that overweight people can do them. Cause all I see are two fit people doing exercises that are extremely difficult to get an overweight body into position for.
I've done it, and when I've had to I've paused the interval time or brought the video back to the start of the interval to give me the time to set myself up. The video is a guide - not an absolute - as long as you regular do the exercises, the consistency to change up your bands and positions will come in time.
I'm actively working to get back in shape and am really excited to trying this workout. Question, any idea how many calories burned completing this workout (sorry if it's a dumb question, I'm really new to this)? Thanks
Hey Brad, that’s a good question. It’s a little tough to say but I would say a good bet is between 100-150 calories. Depending on how intense your workout is you can do 200 calories I’m sure.
Burning calories is largely dependent on how much you weigh and how much your body mass index is at the time of your workout. Also, when you build muscle, calories will also be burned by the muscles while you are doing other tasks. The goal, therefore, is to build muscles and get toned. The rest will follow.
This is the only beginner/overweight workout video I have been able to keep up with. Most of the workout videos I have tried, the transitions or the reps are too fast.
All these band workouts and no one tells me which band to use for what. I have a great new set but have no idea which colored band to use with what exercise

Thank you for the feedback Louis. We will work on getting some longer videos out and keep them new/overweight exerciser friendly.

Clayton M. Just keep pushing you’ll be lifting more in no time! Leave an update next week and let me know how it went!
Great to get back into workout. Let it slip for number of years. Feeling good at 62
If you’re reading this and like these workouts.
Thank you! Glad you're enjoying it!
I find your videos very good and I enjoy them thank you both
Love the video.
Ok one year later, how are you doing?
Holy crap. First, the twenty minutes flew by. Second, I used a 10 lb, the lightest I have, and my shoulders and arms are achy. I will keep using the 10 lb for now. Even my core feels it.
Loved this. Thank you guys!
Thank You So Much .. ....
Love from India.
You are so welcome. Awesome to have India in the house!
I Love it!I'm so many ways that you have
Thank you! 🙏🏻
21:55 awesome workout
Great workout. Just started resistance and this was a great intro. Arms are burning!
Sweet! Thanks George
This is awesome. Thank you for making me feel intimidated.
I might be getting the hang of this. Currently, I use the red, green, and yellow bands because to bands are just too light for me.
I do tricep extensions the way w. two hands on one band. I haven't quite got the hang of two hands just yet.
Have a good night.
Shoulders arms and quads are definitely feeling the burn! Love you guys!
You’re too kind!
How do we know what size bands to use for any certain exercise? When i tied the band around my foot I was afraid the band would snap. This band is up to 20 pounds. Thank you for this video it gives me something to look forward to and helps build my confidence.
awesome low impact workout ...
Really great workout, thanks guys
Excellent . Thanks
Great Beginner workout for me! Thanks!!! I should have started this in March when we were all Locked Down - 2020-
It's Never Too Late...
I have a lot of joint pain, so workouts are hard to do but this was great for me. My arms are burning :)
Happy we can help!
Love all your videos
Thank you!
Lady Katie thank you so much. So 20 by March huh? That’s doable, you got this. What all are you doing to drop the weight?
Love this workout 🏋️♀️
Day 1: Really rough, but an enjoyable set. I think i need to supplement with more leg workouts. murder on my legs. DEFINITELY regretting not doing much between the ages of 25 and 35. I should be posting again tomorrow.
Haha murdering legs sounds like fun but it’s the few days after you’ll regret it! Keep working at it and you’ll be there in no time. Keep us updated.
Thank you.
Great work out when your stuck at a desk all day. Thanks
Boom! Or in a vehicle all day.
Omg yall are so awesome 👌
Love this! Thank you, how often should I do this routine per week?
We’re going to try your way and see what we think.
@@ACHVPEAK promise you guys
Hi, could please tell me which different bands you use for this set of exercise,I currently just one band with the two handles. What would be some good exercises for your S/I joint?
Thanks,
Craig N
We use a few different brands but our current favorite is black mountain products. We like the 7 band set they offer on amazon for around $37 bucks. Here is the link for these bands:

If I do this and watch what I eat, will I lose weight? I’m over 300 and I need help
Welcome Kimberlee! We just change bands for different resistance levels.
Can you tell me what bands you are using? Or where can I get them?
Lol, maybe it's because it's my first time, but that last exersize burns like you wouldn't believe. Trying to get fit for the new year, so I'm gonna be back a lot

As a rank beginner what band should I be using. I notice you are changing bands.
Hi I'm new to resistance band workouts and am overweight, so being on the floor is a tad challenging.. can you offer a modification to the lying leg extension? I can do the one at a time, but to lift both of my legs at the same time is too difficult with my back... thanks! I love your video
You could do front squats or just squats instead.
@@ACHVPEAK oh awesome!! Thank you!
hi I am 62 in good sheep I can run 2 miles . would like to tighen up my abs whichone of yuor workouts .would work of me an how many time a week should I do it/
I've been doing these 3 times a week every other day for a month now. How long do you propose we keep doing these sets before moving onto other workouts?
Until you think they aren’t effective for you anymore, I think
Until it becomes too easy, then you buy a stronger set of bands.
I am a beginner I got one band it is a green 1 Can you help me on exercise with the band
@@ACHVPEAK Sounds good, thank you!
Is your 8 week program (for purchase) similar to this? Meaning no other equipment is necessary except resistance bands?
That is correct. Just a basic set of bands is all you need.
Where do i find what bands I need?
Which bands do I need for this workout? I only have the first one.
Check the description box, they have a link to the ones they use I believe it’s from amazon 👍
My ceiling is too low to fully extend for the Overhead Tricep Extension. Do you have an alternate or any tips?
Yes you can do them kneeling and put the bands under the shin at the knee of the leg on the ground. We do this in our recent videos.
@@ACHVPEAK Thank you!!
More Workouts for overweight people were nice
