I went to see System of a Down and Incubus and Clutch made a surprise appearance. I cried. I loved them more than both bands I came to watch. Best surprise of my life. The whole show kicked ass and I was probably the only person that knew who Clutch was. Awesome memory.
that bullshit about underrated bands comes about a lot on here, however, I'd have to agree. I only heard of them because Planet rock radio station.....i really really like this band and that Neil fallen has a cool sounding voice. in walk Barbarella bad ass song
Literally just is no other band like Clutch. Everyone ranting raving about Metallica etc (good in their own right), but for me Clutch are just.. in a league of their own.
LubeyLube me to brother atleast once a week I gotta put on some clutch if not every day I listen to a lot of death metal just heavy stuff they are a goo break from all that same old shit them and down and eyehategod
I admire the comparison and the debate to listen to others play the "same" music. Every Band, even the one that "covers" another is worthy of your OBJECTIVE view. That's what music is all about. Within music's incredible and emotionally subjective circle, we have not only the capacity too observe it, but too actually fucking enjoy it guilt free. TL/DR - Love you, Love what you love.
I am so proud to say that I grew up around this band. I was listening to Clutch when they were playing in garages and parties. I was a Clutch fan then and I will always love this band. I was even lucky enough to hang out in some of their parents houses many years ago. I have played their songs to so many ppl that never heard of them and most of them now say that Clutch is one of their favorite bands. I left Maryland years ago but I'm proud of my upbringing and I'm proud to say that I grew up in Germantown and Gaithersburg. Best damn band to come out of Maryland!!
I had the pleasure of seeing them in North Carolina on the Elephant Riders tour when I was a teenager & Neil autographed my head (I had a pot leaf shaved in the back & 420 shaved on the side) & we hung out for quite a while. 1 of my favorite bands.
I used this song in a eulogy for one of my cats today. Aldous Margaery Balrog died this morning from a stroke, and there was no cat anywhere that was at metal and loving as she was. She loved Clutch and always came to listen when I had them on. She went cold, and now my heart is gone.
Clutch is the hardest working and most dedicated band on the planet. Loved them from the first album on. I was so excited to see Aisha Tyler had shot this and glad to know that she and Neil are friends. Lana, Lana, Lanaaaaaa!
Years ago I went to a Motorhead show and Clutch was the opening act. Never heard of them at the time but I was blown away by them. Been a fan ever since
Took my wife to her first Clutch show this year… I’ve watched them since 97… She tells everyone who asked about any kind of music, the best live show she’s ever seen.
4 years ago I got to witness this Great band who opened for Dropkick Murphys. They deserve all the respect for their love of music. Can't wait to see them again soon ☆☆☆☆☆!
The combination of this guys voice and the musical styles they incorporate, man, what a refreshing change from the mind numbing wasteland that is radio today!
This band are organic ,.. they have grown up together ,stayed loyal to what they believe in ,.. the end result is they are like a good wine,..maturing and will become vintage ,..take a lesson on how to live life ,..stop clicking that camera at yourself.
I kinda have to disagree with this comment due to the last part about "stop clicking that camera at yourself" as i feel aslong as your not obsessing over that sort of thing its fine. I do admit its sometimes boring to look through your feed and see selfies but to some its important This btw is coming from one of those saddos who paints warhammer 40k miniatures and puts it on their feed and doesnt take selfies cause hes insecure about how he looks
Ive seen them 11 times. This is the greatest band that ever existed. Especially live. Rock, metal, blues, bluegrass, jazz, and everything all mashed up. I see them EVERY time they come to Louisville............AND NOW THEY ARE TOURING WITH THE SWORD! CANT WAIT.
They have a very distinct sound...you know it's Clutch as soon as you hear the first chord played. They are a great band...they have a vast library of songs to explore. Love them. They are all very talented musicians....just awesomeness on top of awesomeness lol
these guys are just so good, so professional and consistent record after record. love this slow groove, pretty different from most of their funky metal. Every Clutch song becomes my new favorite!!
Aisha Tyler is so awesome. What a great job she did shooting this video. She has always impressed me. Everything Clutch does is amazing so no shock that I love this song.
Some of THE coolest people ever. They played this at the record store. Baltimore harbor pirate day. The van was out back . Neil stopped warming up to walk about 25 yards to sign all my stuff. After the rest had come talked to me. ..nobody else but me.Everyone else lined up on side walk... to hear them and sign stuff. I bought the cd and waited in line . JPaul cracked up hard when I handed him the cd to sign.. lol they freaking rock.. and don't get me going on the 9:30 club... hahaha back door to the bus after jam... still haven't made it on there yet...hahaha!

This song is awesome. Love the melancholy tone. My ex was never really into rock (she loved country), but she would hear my stuff in the car now and then.. she REALLY liked this song.

A true expression of thought and mind, sends a chill down your spine and skin. There's nothing like it that ive found in anything else, but clutch. Just beautiful in every way.
Clutch is severely slept on. Been a fan for years. There's no live show like a Clutch show. Absolutely love this band!!
I've seen them many times.
Best live show ever.
only the greatest rock n roll band of all time.... no big deal....
Agreed clutch is fantastic live or on record 😊
I went to see System of a Down and Incubus and Clutch made a surprise appearance. I cried. I loved them more than both bands I came to watch. Best surprise of my life. The whole show kicked ass and I was probably the only person that knew who Clutch was. Awesome memory.
Yup.......Good Taste Young Lady. 💯🤙🥃🌹😎✌️🇺🇸🏴☠️
Clutch is easily the most underrated band in the history of rock music.
NO. Kyuss is!
Acid bath is more underrated granted nowhere the same amount of music put out but very much more underrated
@@vinyldiary6664 I love kyuss and think that them and clutch kinda have stuff in common and don't get how seemingly no one knows abt them

As well as an Otter band or song. At leasg when you believe the comments. It's a standard term that is commented under almost every video I see
I'm 62 years old and have never heard of these guys but finally did and glad of it. Pretty awesome
Clutch is one of the best bands ever that will never get the attention they deserve, but they will still be rocking 30 years from now.
bro, they got the attention. they shun the shit. They some clutch motherfuckers.
Hardest working band in the biz. They do what they do and they do it for themselves.
Chris Virden That's why I've been seeing them live since I was 17, I'm 44 now.
I'm 51 and see them every time they come through town as well.
James Mungo Damn Straight 😎
How can you do this for 30 years, with the same four guys, without turning into the greatest band ever? Love clutch!
Because life ain't fair.
I liked him in ghost rider better actor than musician
Literally just is no other band like Clutch. Everyone ranting raving about Metallica etc (good in their own right), but for me Clutch are just.. in a league of their own.
LubeyLube me to brother atleast once a week I gotta put on some clutch if not every day I listen to a lot of death metal just heavy stuff they are a goo break from all that same old shit them and down and eyehategod
And Clutch didn't copy other people's music to be Clutch!
Seen both but I'd lean towards seeing Clutch based on experience..

LubeyLube I love the almighty metallica but I don't think they could slow down this much and still be metallica. Clutch is just damn good rock'n'roll.
Clutch are one of the most consistent bands ive ever heard. They don't make bad records. Never have!

What a beautiful haunting melody/song.
It FEELS like my old soul.
Yet, I climb. The song is over there.
I have gone cold.
The fires inside have rebuilt and burn yet stifled by my jaded/hurt/broken self.
Such poignant words.
Im starting to finally love that people don't like my taste...
I have hung out with Clutch since they first came to Cleveland. Super low down chill guys.

Perfect soundtrack for hunting cougars at night in the Black Bone Forrest 😁
This, Book Saddle & Go, The Regulator, Ghost, Hoodoo Operator, etc. Clutch has many songs that would fit RDR2 perfectly.

Swamp boats
In daisy chains
Can't seem to recall
My true given name
I see my footprints
How they come, how they go
Was that yesterday?
Or only a moment ago?
My heart has gone
I've gone cold
My heart has gone
I've gone cold
The past gives way
To a cold winter field
The ground below
Hard as steel
Beyond the hill
A distant song
But that hill
Keeps going on and on
My heart has gone
I've gone cold
My heart has gone
I've gone cold
Swamp boats
In daisy chains
Can't seem to recall
Any given name
I see the footprints
How they come, how they go
Was that only a moment?
Or many years ago?
My heart has gone
I've gone cold
My heart has gone
I've gone cold
My heart has gone
I've gone cold
My heart has gone
I've gone cold
Gone cold!!
Swamp boats
