I am a 70 year old new fan. A friend [25) turned me onto these guys. My God! What talent, passion and soul. Thank you for your music. Future of rock looks a lot better with these guys playing real music. Thanks again from a long time music lover
This band is in the business since the early 90s. But yeah its solid rock music I agree.
Welcome to the club
Right on dude. I'm 29 and my parents introduced them to me when I was ? years old haha. Isn't it always dope to find a new groove? Rock on 🤘
Duuude you have found something very special theres only one clutch
@@kingofpentacles3213 smart ass mf

Every day l wake up, drink a lot of coffee and watch the ALMIGHTY CLUTCH!
Everybody move to Canada and smoke lots of pot
I wake up and scratch my clutch...
Cranes fly in to terrorize me when I try :-/
Sounds like a good day to me
Quick death from ghoul wrangler
That Rickenbacker may be the most beautiful bass I've ever seen.
Most underrated Rock band with a strong fan base.
Aye 🤟
Dont underrated bands have small fan bases? 😉
Agree, but every time get to see them up close for like $25 I'm happy that's so.... ;)
Indeed. I wish more bands would play smaller venues like they've always been doing. My first & only time getting to see them play live was the most intimate experience I've ever had with any of my favorite bands & all of the dudes who are Clutch fans are always respectful & take really good care of us lady fans who are out there in front moshing with them too. I know bc I've experienced this for myself @ that 1 show I got to attend. Plus, I was even blessed to have one of Sound Factory's bouncers stand right beside me the whole entire night of their show bc he refused having to watch me getting knocked down & trampled on during the show bc I was only 1 of 2 chicks who had the tits to mosh with the big boys. It's funny bc he finally believed me whenever I'd first explained to him about how Clutch fans are a different kinda breed of metal/rock music fans by the end of the night too. Well, since he did such a great job of being my own personal bodyguard I just had to repay him somehow so before we left the bar, I just had to give him a good booby shot. ha
Way underrated. I don't know how they're not a complete household name. They might be my favorite band today.
Clutch covering Sabbath?!? I can now die in peace.
why the question mark, they display sabbath influence in most of their songs
@@joebb11 Just glad to see them do an actual Sabbath cover.
Said well 🏔💚🎸🤘🏻
Play this at my funeral!
@@NbleSavage Thought they dropped one live at a CO show I saw in the early 2000's...can't remember which one though
The best compliment I can offer is that I have a 3 hour Spotify playlist of Clutch songs. I hit play and let it go.
Been a fan since 91. Not 1 album has disappointed me.
Clutch fills my soul in a way drugs, religion, and family never could.
Why so? I’m feeling the same bro.
Is it just me or is Neil's voice just getting better with time? Love this stuff...long live Clutch!
Whisky does the trick ...
Same here ... lol
Vocal lessons straight from the source.
Yeah, and the lyrics are fascinating
listen to the original wishbone, his voice now is absolutely better
Yes! I think so too! Seems like it's gotten deeper & a bit more raspy. Very nice!
Been a fan since 93. Lived in Arizona. Clutch was playing with Slayer in 98. My brother told me a secret most people did not know of. Bands usually show up for rehearsal in the morning or daytime. We waited for Clutch to show up. We waited till they got out of their van. I told them I was a huge fan. They told me they went to check out Sedona. They were surprised anyone showed up that early looking for them. Was a great show!!
Jean-Paul's drum faces are so excellent. It looks like he's whispering "pop! pop!"
I could watch that guy play all day.
I’ve been fortunate enough to do a tour with these guys and I have 2 distinct memories from it. 1. They are the nicest most humble guys you could ever meet, not an ounce of pretense or attitude. 2. JP always had a kit backstage and practiced for hours before the show. Both things made a lasting impression on me, as a man and a musician
First time hearing Clutch was when they were touring with Limp Bizkit in the early 00s. I was working security at the club the tour came through and smoked a joint backstage with Neil and some of the security. Show time came and I was working the barricade, keeping people off the stage. They started playing I was hooked instantly. The whole show I was pushing people away from the stage while jamming my ass off. It was a blast.
@@DawsonClawson Thats a rad story. Right on.
Hahaha I’ve heard Neil talk about how much JP loves playing drums. They’d tour with a practice kit in a trailer and he’d sit there and play for like six hours at a time. No wonder he’s so god damn good!
Watched an interview with JPG and he said when they take breaks from touring, he goes home and plays his drums...lol
Your fans appreciate you. Thanks for the YEARS of entertainment!
Decades.
AWSOME KIND OF OUR LOVE MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS. NOBODY CAN BE OTHER THAN HERE WITH CLUTCH....
Loving all The New Music & The Music From the Beginning of ur Band is & Always Be The 🤜💣🤛Bomb & Loving The Slate Blue Bass of Dan's & ,I Think This is My Favorite, Bass He Playes & The Fenders At The Beginning of ur's Band Life Together 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻Thanks For Staying Together & Keeping This Music 🎶🎵Going on My intire Life, & I've Been Their From The Beginning 🤜🎯🤛
Jean Paul Gaster is so fucking deep in the pocket I'm suprized he got up to record this video.
Jokes aside, he is one of the most perfect drummers ever, finesse, power and precision, always the perfect amount of groove, fills and volume.
And his drums sound absolutely killer.
Agreed. That snare's tone is as perfect as his ghost strokes.
He is an awesome drummer, he did drumming duet on one of the last tours. He plays a blinder on Winos punctuated equilibrium. 🤘
I’m mostly a metalhead and his style is so different compared to most of the other drummers I listen to. It’s really refreshing and he is amazing. The band wouldn’t be the same without him. They’re lucky.
You really do get the sense that they just write and play and jam and perform for fun. They don't just get together every few years to smush out an album and rake in some cash, they live and breathe it and are really super happy to be so appreciated
Well said, they enjoy their craft and enjoy each other’s company. It’s not as you said a money grabbing enterprise. It’s more organic than that
ACCURATE STATEMENT 👍🏼
Jean-Paul Gaster is a very musical drummer…never realized this until watching this video
When you come to Detroit, We are there. Seen you 12 times since the early '90s. The Best Show Ever ! I love how Neil can control the entire crowd with just his feet stomping.
Seen Clutch several times live. They never disappoint.
17 times for me..can’t get enough.
saw them back in 1992
awesome! I saw them at the house of blues with my family and they rocked! Totally going to have to see more!
I've seen them more times than I can count. Never seen a bad performance.
So very true. Seen them enough times to have lost count, it's in the 15-20 range, since right before Pure Rock Fury. They kill it everytime
Clutch and All Them Witches need to tour. Speaking in a perfect world precovid or postcovid
amen
Fuck. Yes.
That take of Run, John Barleycorn, Run.....Damn, I could listen to that all day.
🤘🏻🤘🏻🎸🎸💖
The tone of all the instruments on this track is savage!
That version of motherless child just shows how vast of Marylands top rockers Clutch range goes. They can blow the roof off with some hardcore rock or play some of the best blues you will EVER here. Lifelong Clutch fan here. Bravo gentleman. Bravo.
I love when they play the blues!
Ill be smoking breakfast for this.
😁
👍🤣🤣🤣
Just blazed afternoon tea.
3 dudes in flannel being lead by a crazy jazz drummer guy. Popular Mechanics and a Dungeon Master Guidebook. I love you all.
Best Damn Rock and Roll Band in the Land..!!!
Probably the most musically accurate Sabbath cover I'ver ever heard....Incredible!
COC also did this one on the 1st NIB compilation.
They hardly cover Sabbath. They’re much better. Rock on Clutch!
@@marymitchell3677 as much as i love clutch, nobody is much better than sabbath
Lord of this World was insanely good. Holy crap!
Best band of all time, no question.
BLACK SABBATH song . . . and out comes the P90's !!!
Awesome guys . . . please keep up the great music.
One can NEVER have too much CLUTCH.
You bringing the sammiches? Lol do you watch Two minutes to late night? They covered some Samhain this morning. It was pretty rockin!
@@dana.c hello again! Had to reply to you because I haven't heard anyone mention Samhain in years. I have a t-shirt that's probably 30 years old. Gonna listen to them now thanks!
@@Dr.Acula76 that is awesome! Definitely check out two minutes to late night doing mother of mercy.
@@dana.c I will. Thank you so much!
@@Dr.Acula76 they do some misfits and other goodies. The best is Neil doing ac/dc (bon scott era) riff raff.
If you happen to be an aspiring young drummer or just a drummer in general there is not a single rock drummer that plays as well as JPG.
His approach, interpretation and ability are unmatched.
Tim’s Seger YG 🔥🔥🔥
Holy shit, that Sabbath cover is absolute perfection and makes me want an entire Sabbath cover album.
Yes!!! 🤘🎸🤘🎸
Them: the perfect band doesn't exist
Clutch: hold my ale
One more lager and I might learn to like ya.
... and then came whisky from the basement.
National treasure I tell ya.
I love how they don't try to drown each other out. Smooth.
...on tuesday we saw them live in Berlin in 'huxleys' ...!! An awesome Gig from Clutch they're getting better and better every year....,😉👍
CLUTCH is one of Hard Rocks Pioneers that just keeps getting better over the years! 🤘🔥🤘 Road to 40 Let's go!
Wishbone is one of my favourite Clutch songs, really nice to hear it again!
All Hail the Mighty CLUTCH!!... Can I get a “Hallelujah” Brothers and Sisters?
Greets from Germany. Awesome Band with Sounds from AC to ZZ.
That Sabbath cover is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Their collective tone is amazing. Clutch delivers the same live as well. If we ever get to see a live show again without invasive strings attached, I would strongly encourage you all to attend.
I've seen them so many times, always a great night of kick ass rock and roll. They are so tight...
Nearly 30 years. No lineup changes. Nearly constant touring. One of the greatest rock bands in history and definitely one of the bands that helped define me personally in my time. I've seen them three times. I think I will pony up for this to help them and the cause.
I gotta get up at 6AM for Clutch??
Not a problem.
Free Tickets! (online only of course) ...
I’ll bring the room temperature lemon water.
6 am sleep is but a dream. My curse is now a gift.
I'll bring the cooler cold beer
4am for me in Hawaii. It's 11pm now. I don't know that I can pull it off.
It's a shame JPG wasn't around in an era when rock musicians were revered. If he were around in the 70's he'd be discussed in the same light as Bonham, Peart, Moon and Baker.
he keeps everything on the pocket, great player
Has been my favorite rock drummer for years.
And Danny Carey
But he is
The fact you didn’t list Bill Ward leads me to believe musicians were never truly revered.
Good morning friends, first of all I want to apologize for my English, I don't speak it and even less write it, but there is my appreciation of the band that we all love. Greetings from Peru..... "I just saw a series of concerts by this great band: CLUTCH, and I had a clear revelation. CLUTCH IS THE ROCK; They don't do Rock, they don't play Rock, they don't compose Rock ... they are THE ROCK ... I say this because, at this stage of life, they have managed to balance their roles within the band with extreme precision, that is to say: each one does what he should without detracting from the others.
Each allows his companions to express his vitality in the way and time they need, without pressure of any kind. Because of this it is possible for everyone in general to become the Frontman of the group at some point.
And something extremely important, which leads me to the first conclusion, is that you can do without them, yes, do without all the members, and get into the songs. It seems that they have become mere accessories or mediums whose function is to reveal the songs they have composed, with such vitality and dedication, and that they have taken on a life of their own for us, their audience.
They may or may not be on stage.
They could contort like haunted madwomen, like demonized possessors ... but they don't.
They could throw a thousand harangues, manage the audience at will and ask them to do any idiotic thing like raise their hands and clap together ... but they don't ...
They could use thousands of weird, ethereal or cutting edge effects ... but they don't need them ... they've managed to tame distortions, wha-wha and delay ... and it's more than enough ...
They do not need to make fuss of any kind such as destroying or burning guitars, spitting at the public, jumping or doing risky things ... IT IS TOTALLY UNNECESSARY, their music, THE ROCK, is everything ... it has taken on a life of its own ... and they keep total respect ...
We thank them that they do not wear weird, lavish or fashionable outfits, we thank them that they have not had facebook for a long time, we thank them that they do not worry about being hyperlinked or filling stadiums ... I feel (without fear of being wrong in the least) that their life, their profession, their food is Rock ... through them it survives ... because they are ROCK"
So cool. I saw C.O.C and Clutch play a show together in Nashville. C.O.C. covers the same Black Sabbath song on a tribute album.
Always thought I'd like to hear Clutch do a cover of Willie the Pimp. That would definitely be the cake.
Holy shit. That would be an unprecedented performance in my personal book.
Is that the Cadillac coffin one?
@@DocStatgamer I believe that is Willie the Wimp, by Stevie Ray Vaughan. Willie the Pimp is Frank Zappa.
Frank Zappa Willie the Pimp
Sang by Captain Beefheart
I'm so glad we get some Christmas Clutch to keep up the tradition!
I fucking love Clutch! Something about their feel and groove that no one else comes close to...
Man... love the Sabbath... they played that when I saw them in May ....and 10,000 Witnesses, one of my favorites... going to see them again in Sept.... and anytime they come remotely close to me
So awesome to hear the bluesy version of Motherless Child! These are the songs that don't really fit nicely into a concert set. So it is awesome to see them played!
It is not the same as standing on the stage and playing for the crowd, it must be really tough on you guys- but just so you know, we appreciate this a LOT!
Lord of this World...unbelievable...nailed it...knocked me outta my seat.
Old Bay, crabcakes and Clutch. The only things from Maryland that I truly love.
someone's got some new cameras and has been dialing in live sound for broadcast, yes? waaay buttery. cheers fellas
I was thinking the same thing.
I feel like they are all grown up now. The first session was one camera with no edits or lighting and now they have slick videos. Lol. More please!
One of the best if not the best Sabbath covers ever! Wow!
Before 2 nights ago I only knew two songs by them Saw them at the ryman in Nashville You can’t really describe them but you sure as hell can feel it I’m hooked to The one and only CLUTCH Keep on keepin on guys
Best band in the world.
We just cracked the sky with Black Sabbath's Lord Of This World "for fun".
Went to my first clutch show at 19... I'm now 46! There is nothing that compares to the genius going on here!! It is this style of music that makes u love to feel...
Clutch is the healer 💙💙💙
John Barleycorn is a seriously underrated tune!
"Run, John Barleycorn, Run" My favourite! Love it a lot.
One of my favourites too! The fact they included it in the Vault Series makes me hope they'll play it live next show!
Just received your Clutch Doom Saloon III t-shirt and it's a work of art. Looks awesome, too good to wear, I may have it framed, it's beautiful. Great job! High quality shirt and art. Way to go! Thank you! 👍

Saw you guys in Toledo Ohio, around 2000 or so, I have never looked back......MY FAVORITE BAND, CLUTCH!
one of the only bands that i can think of that have actually gotten even better throughout their career.
Wow that Sabbath is absolutely philthy.
Started listening to Clutch in the early 90’s while in high school. Never stopped! Awesome!
Beautiful.

OMFG! Ok, now I feel like its been a 28 year build up to that Black Sabbath cover. Yall just blew my mind for the 2452nd time. Ozzy and Tony need to see this!
Geezer and Bill too!
My favourite band covering my other favourite band! That was insanely good, Neil sounded perfect singing old Sabbath!
I hope my neighbors enjoyed that as much as they'll enjoy Doom Saloon 3!
Playing acoustic guitar along with this set is a beer 🍺 drinkers dream ...

This is great, one of my favorite bands forever.
I got up to watch this live, and I keep rewatching it!
Damn, I just can't believe how this band can just keep rockin' the way they do, amazing! Their shit never gets old. The lighting looks good on JP and his drums!!!
Wow, 'Lord of this World' is so Black Sabbath, love it!
I have woken up as a teen, and listened to Clutch.
I have woken up with Depression, and listened to Clutch

Amen, brother in Clutch!
I hope they record Lord of this World for Weathermaker Volume 2.
That rendition of Lord of This World is pretty damn good!! Really enjoyed it!
Never a Day goes by without listening to some. Almighty Clutch! NEIL IS THE MAN! I Love Every Song! 🤘😋
🤘🏻🤘🏻🎸🎸💖
1) Lord of This World. Nailed it. 🤯 2) My wife and I were on a long drive and I was playing Psychic Warfare. She asked who it was and said “These guys make great driving music.” ❤️ 3) Is it me or is Jean Paul looking a little like Lee Ving in this video? 🤷🏼♂️
18 minutes of tasty jams! Thank you CLUTCH!
Thank you!!!
Man these guys never cease to impress. JPG killing those drums looking like he's out for a Sunday drive lol
Holy Tight Like That...
Loved the Sabbath
