Ahh yes the Battlefield 1 Soundtrack probably the best soundtrack DICE made for a battlefield game no other titles in the franchise come remotely close to replicating it.
Battlefield 1 wasn't simply a game, it was a full course experience. Definitely react to The Four Horsemen, it has that doom and finality the whole Apocalypse DLC centers around; the whole range of gruesome man-made horrors technological progress introduced.
I think something else that adds to the atmosphere of this song is that it's a reference to the World War 1 wolf War which was a ceasefire between Russian and German troops as they attempted to combat prolific amounts of wolves that were drawn to the battlefields to scavenge. As the fighting had killed or scattered most prey from the area the wolves were desperate. Eventually they grew bolder, developing a taste for living human flesh Memoirs indicate that at first they only targeted the dead and went after corpses and bodies that had already been killed, however soon they became accustomed to human flesh and would attack civilians and soldiers alike during the night. I believe that the opening part of this song is as if you're watching these wolves feast upon the Fallen. Its sad, but its far from you. Then about halfway through the song picks up and it's a fight for your life as you're attempting to beat back these hoards of wolves that are coming to claim you.
It's so sad thqt you are the only person I saw reacting to this beautiful soundtrack, literally I searched for other reactions but found none, if you are a bf1 fan you probably heard it but if not, I recommend you dawn of a new time, it's really precious
I never head Battlefield 1 OST before but the moment I read the title of the song _"In the name of the Tsar"_ I knew it will have that slavic suffering, pain vibe to it. A lot of songs which were written in the times of war have that melancholic, depressing in a sense tone to it - _'that we've lost so much and what for was this was.'_ Very strong piece indeed. Thank you for reviewing it. 🙏
I didn't expect you to listen to battlefield 1 OST, I hope you make more videos listening to this soundtrack is one of my favorites from this franchise, hope you enjoy this tracks as I do!
The track (as well as the DLC) is based on the story of the "women's regiments" of women's divisions that fought on the battlefields of World War 1, the vocals in Russian language literally tell that there is no way back, you need to defend your land in any possible way
its actually a tragedy that the playerbase abandoned it in search of the new best thing, which was BFV (which was trash) and then the even bigger dumpster fire that BF2042 was
@@vlima7164 I wouldn’t entirely put the blame on the player base, it’s Battlefield’s fault for abandoning the game so quick when they could’ve had it last a lot longer
@@apetitan2936 i just hate that BF1 died IMMEDIATELY when BFV released, even when it was public knowledge that BFV is trash. THe current gaming scene just chases fads. To be fair, DICE did give us 3 full expansion packs for BF1, but yeah it wouldve been more awesome if we got more.
Battlefield 1 isn't talked about all that much these days, but it sold tons and I see so many people occasionally mentioning it, because they really enjoyed it. I have a complete soundtrack to the main game and all the DLCs, which I use as a background music to my BF1 videos - They shall not pass and especially Apocalypse have some dark pieces that go well with the intense action of the game.
Honestly thank you so much for reacting to my favourite game OST. BF1's soundtrack is seriously underrated and it's just so great finally seeing someone reacting to the music, especially considering the game came out back in 2016. With that being said, I'm really curious what you think of the track 'In The Name Of The Tsar'. I think the build up towards the end of the track is just amazing.
One interesting thing is the tune's title "The Wolves" on the Eastern front wolf packs would get displaced by the conflict happening in the areas they hunted in. These wolves would take to hunting down wounded soldiers in the night. To be left in no mans land at night on the Eastern Front condemned the soldier to death via desperate and starving wolves. There are a few reports of Wolves attempting to sneak into the medical tents of both sides. Now these tales might have been exaggerated to discourage desertion but there were some evidence of such attacks happening.
I love the soundtrack of Battlefield 1, it manages to perfectly capture the feelings of WW1 while merging with the game seamlessly. Especially considering how there isn't much WW1 content to go off of in terms of media like video games and movies when compared to WW2. It really championed the setting and set the atmosphere flawlessly.
Loved this reaction! Since we are in the mood for some WW1 soundtracks, I'd like to recommend "Rinasceremo Insieme" (We'll be Reborn Together) from Isonzo, a game set in the Alps during those times. Music aside, the game is really cool, being a good in between of realistic and arcade
People always say 'Dawn of a New Age' is the best track in BF1, and then i point them to 'The Wolves'. Best track in the whole game imo and the most emotional. It really speaks to me of a fall of an Empire and a new beginning, with the wolves being both the German Empire and the Bolsheviks. This song really signifies the end. Hope you react to Four Horsemen too, it has an awesome cogwheel sound effect in the background that makes you feel like the wheels of war and industry are going at full force.

Battlefield 1 and its DLC is my favorite game and has the best OST across all the games I've played. My favorite part is when you hear the same tunes and melodies from the base game in future DLC but with different tones. My favorite example is the last minute and 30 sec of 'The war to end all wars.' We gotta get him to listen to anything from black ops zombies ,The One, Beauty of Annihilation, Pareidolia, Dead Flowers just anything cause the music for the maps is amazing
The way I see it, the first part with just the choir is waking up to a quiet battlefield, and facing behind the lines, where it's serene, untouched. The second part, with the slow, swelling strings and horns, is you turning towards the front and seeing no man's land, littered with barbed wire, craters, shattered trees and bodies and being reminded of the hell on earth you're in. The third part, right as it becomes hectic, the first artillery round of the day lands on your side down the line, and with a start, everyone is awake as the trench whistles start blowing and the rounds start flying.
I don't think I've clicked one a video faster (Maybe other than your destiny vids) on your channel. Would absolutely love to see you do more of the BF1 Ost
i see this music as cinematic than anything else the start of the still female choir gives a feeling of a vast and barrenlandscape of snow and ice, and then the 'camera' zooms a bit further so we see a long unending column of soldiers marching on, and htis is when the instrumental music starts kicking in then we hear the manly choir as are 'view' is focused on the soldier's faces, marching on and singing their somber march poems. the sharp violin is added - they are close to the front line: ruins, corpses, destroyed vehicles and trenches are littered endlessly in front of them, fear sets in and finally, the arrived to the front line, and the intense music begins - the battle erupts a new, it's complete chaos but they still press on. and then, an extreme abrupt ending to it all - everyone is dead. there is no better example of cinematic music than this

Would love to see some reacts to Call of Duty: Cold War after this, especially commentary about that really great blending between a kind of Hollywood “russian” orchestral sound, and then similarly Hollywood 80s synth, which sound absolutely perfect together, musically and narratively. Bells Theme and the Cold War theme respectively feel like mysterious, massive, threatening musical pieces that inspire images of clashing titans and incoming nuclear weapons in a way that just rings perfectly. The addition of rumbling voices and shouts in both pieces too feel like that classic movie buildup of opposing troops marching at parade in their respective nations, super weapons behind them, ready for doomsday. Really loved this review and am an avid watcher! Keep up the great work
Sorry, gotta post this, 'cause it goes with the song - "Losing Tsaritsyn to the Red Army was a catastrophic blow to the anti-revolutionary forces. The momentum the White Guard had gained in the south was now at an end. They began to lose the support of many previously loyal factions, who ultimately have no desire to reinstate a Tsarist regime. With their ranks thinned, the Whites' attempt to take Moscow ended in failure, and their armies were forced to retreat to the Crimean Peninsula. Though the rear guard held out long enough to ensure the evacuation of 150,000 soldiers and civilians by sea, General Wrangel's forces were ultimately defeated here. The Red Army now controlled all of Russia, and the civil war ended in November 1920."

To me the best Battlefield game, delivered on every aspect, music, graphic, immersion and the perfect balance between fun approachable and tactical complex. That brings us to one of the worst games in the franchise, how about listening to that Battlefield 2042 main theme...
Battlefield always has really good soundtracks no matter how controversial each game turns out to be. Except 2042's tracks, which I'd say they're... too experimental for my taste.
The VA in BF1 is my favorite thing. They made voice actors literally haul bricks and run while screaming the lines, such powerful stuff.

"Grace and Glory" for me is the one of the best ST of BF1 (Vo imja Tsarya DLC / In the name of Tsar DLC). If you want to - listen, please. Just curious, what will you say about this music.
BTW,
ZA VERU, TSARJA I OTECHESTVO! / FOR THE FAITH, TSAR AND FATHERLAND! - Russian Imperial Army's battlecry.
Would love more Battlefield 1/5 Music
Hello marco, i'd like to recommend to you the soundtrack of freddy pizzeria simulator.
Also great video as always
Hey, I saw one of ur twitch streams was titled discussing 6.4 ffxiv music. But it's only a clip of u playing destiny 2?
Also I don't know if you've seen the newest savage in ffxiv, but the music of P12S phase 2 is veeery nice as well 👍
That was an error. I haven't caught up sadly
Sir, could you react to "my home sweet home" and "as i feel, you feel" from Final Fantasy 5? Not the ingame version but the ones from the álbum "Dear Friends"? (Its a ffv related album)
Try Grace and Glory from Battlefield 1, that one was undeniably the best Ost from the DLC In The Name of The Tsar
If you ever want to react to another BF1 OST I highly recommend get us out of here
To me the best Battlefield game, delivered on every aspect, music, graphic, immersion and the perfect balance between fun approachable and tactical complex. That brings us to one of the worst games in the franchise, how about listening to that Battlefield 2042 main theme...
It's certainly my favorite
Is there any chance that you react to Harvest of Sorrow from P.T. Adamczyk?
No
Check out BF V music also. That's good too.
Battlefield 1 was a great game. Wish they continued to embrace WW1 in other games. Instead of doing the tired WW2 stuff.
heya have ya listened to the ori ost
Nope
God I love the battlefield 1 soundtrack, still incredibly sad that they closed the servers for it
they did what ???
Well that’s disappointing, but not surprised. EA’s got to drag users away from the good shot to get them to play their crappy new game.
It's a outage in multiple games, they didn't close anything
They didn't? I still play it here and there
Really? Must just be the Xbox servers then.
Battlefield always has really good soundtracks no matter how controversial each game turns out to be. Except 2042's tracks, which I'd say they're... too experimental for my taste.
Uncharted?
listen bf1 zajdi zajdi
За царя!! :)
