One thing I liked about battlefield 1 was how the music evolves over the course of the game as more dlc released. Base game: Heroism They shall not pass: Anxiety In the name of the tsar: Glory Apocalypse: Desperation DICE really outdid themselves when it came to the music for this game
@@elassassin0129 because the same people made the soundtrack for these 2 games. And then DICE switched soundtrack composers... Lets say that everyone certainly noticed how this affected the soundtrack even if they dont know about the fact that different people where now making the music.
Man I forgot how great Battlefield 1 was, didn't matter if it was the campaign or Multiplayer. The music alongside the gameplay moments made such remarkable experiences. The epic music when your pushing the enemy's defensive line back or mourning those who have fallen, it was all beautiful
@_PhamTuanCuong my problem with bots is how they implement them. 2042 has them on both ends where they don't feel like a threat at all to sometimes an actual bullshit mechanic. If they can improve on that, I would gladly have them more often. That being said, still enjoy the bots we currently have.
I sit on the menu every time I hear this track. This, and "Under No Flag" on Battlefield V. Full stop, hands off keyboard, every time...and that horn at 4:21 gets me every time.
BF1's Apocalypse OST is so good. From The Four Horsemen to Lacrimosa, these tracks really immersed you into the atmosphere of the game, especially if you play in maps like Passchendaele where you can tell how terrible WW1 was.
I still play Battlefield 1 sometimes and have been playing since 2016, I simply love it, from the campaign to multiplayer to the music, i love everything about it
YOOOOOO BF1’s soundtrack is probably the best of any shooter. Marco NEEDS to listen to Storm of steel/Metal frenzy. Also the end of rounds for In The Name of The Tsar, and well, ALL of them lol
I love Battlefield 1 and the music in it, thank you so much Marco for Analyzing this piece. But I am still hoping for you to React and Analyze Battlefield 1: "Zajdi Zajdi"
Playing the game from launch till end it was an incredible feeling, with each expansion you felt as if you were seeing the war progress until the last maps were bleak and up in flames. Best Battlefield EVER!
This is a proper reaction, you brought insightful and educational content. You added more to teach others about it and you made it transformative as such as it being a musical example, hats off to you sir. You explained how Battlefield 1's piece keeps us all humanized, unlike Vanguard. The brutality of the music explains how it was the first modern war, It's still brutal with medieval weapons (to an extent) but it reminds us we're still human, mere feeble beings. It reminds us of what we had to go through.
The trailer of "For the Tsar" expansion for Battlefield 1 is a particularly strong example of how well World War I theme was handled by the devs. They knew what they were doing and paid great respect for the tragedy while still making it a roller-coaster like battlefield experience.
This is one of the most emotional pieces in the Battlefield 1 soundtrack. For me, it represents the end of the Great war and now it is time to stop and reflect on everyone and everything lost. Try listening to it while looking at photos of the destruction of Ypres and Passchendaele. Its really affecting.
I played that game to the finish. The Italian campaign brought me to tears and it still does. My great great gramps fought in that battle, nearly lost his leg, won a worthless piece of metal for it… died a couple of decades later, still having pain from the freaking shrapnel in him from an Austrian shell, according to my Nona he never forgot the war, the town he came from in northern Italy (Luca) lost soo many young man, he lost soo many friends… May Luigi Cadorna rot in hell forever, damned mindless butcher
Have you seen "Under No Flag" and "I Vow To Thee" from Battlefield V? I think those are worth looking at despite one being basically Pachelbel's Canon with extra steps and the other just being the main part of The Planets - Jupiter
this is definitely one of my favorite tracks from battlefield 1's ost. it gives me a large mix of emotions especially when thinking about it in a historical context. one of those is what you mentioned, it has that feeling of being lost and its something that some soldiers felt once the armistice was called. Some of them celebrated while others shrugged their shoulders saying "now what do we do?" some soldiers were happy they were going home whilst others didn't want to go back because the war was all they knew and they didn't have much to go home to. to me this track captures that somber feeling of "Its finally over" but also that feeling of "Where do i go from here?". I'm really happy you're covering more battlefield 1 music and I hope you cover more in the future, I especially hope you cover 'The four horsemen' track which i feel perfectly captures the horror of WW1
This makes me want to go back and play the campaigns of Battlefield 1. I'm all for a stream of this game as well, seeing a few people suggest that. I feel like that's the type of stream anyone that loves these reactions could enjoy.
Yes! Battlefield 1 is such an underrated game, specially regarding it's OST. Songs I particularly recommend: Libera Me; They Shall Not Pass; Dawn of a New Time; Trembling Fear; For The Empire; Sinai Desert. And Lastly a Battlefield V theme, one of the overall best in the whole series: I Vow to Thee My Country.
YEEEEEE I really love battlefield 1's soundtrack you should do totally do more!!! I love the additions made by the last dlc especially, it really conveys just hell on earth so much i love it
When you compare this song to Dawn of a New Time/ Zadji Zadji, i noticed something. Theyre both sad, as if morning the loss of life. But lacrimosa, which is also called the epilogue of the game, has a more positive sounding chord to end it. Dawn of a new time does not. Its almost to me, like Lacrimosa is an audio version of a survivors thoughts. Its all sad but it ends on a hopeful note, knowing they have survived the worst war in human history and knowing it cant be worse. But of course it got worse. Just twenty years later. And i feel like dawn of a new time symbolises that. Whereas Lacrimosa is a music version of a survivors feelings, dawn of a new time is what we feel, playing this game, knowing the devestation we are seeing and the song ends as sad as it started, knowing nothing good came after this war. Thats always been my petsonal view on how these two feel to me.
there is another variant of Lacrimosa in the game, it has a lot more 'Finally it's over' feel or smt, usually played at the end of a round, just search 'Battlefield 1 Lacrimosa end of round theme'
Battlefield 1's OST is extremely beautiful and emotional. Grace and Glory, The Flight of the Pigeon, Dawn of a New Time, The Four Horsemen, Piano Motion, Get Us Out, and the song titled "Battlefield One". Are other ones I recommend you listen to they are absolutely amazing.
battlefield 1's apocalypse dlc really nailed showing the depiction of horror in a biblical sense, hell one of the driving presences in the apocalypse dlc is the four horsemen of the apocalypse
battlefield has some excellent music. i also recommend the music from battlefield: bad company! the cello solo version of the leggionaire's theme is so haunting.
Hey Marco!! I’m an Armored core fan and I noticed you haven’t done much coverage on the game. You should definitely check out Steel Haze (Rusted Pride) and The man who burned it all along with Balteus theme (Contact With You). I love how you covered bf1 music. I suggest you listen to coh2 musics. Especially the main theme as well as the USF's and the OKW theme. Those are absolute bangers imo.
The visuals, tone and music of BF1 probably makes it my favourite pvp fps of all time. on a side note, marco, please check out remnant 2's music if you get chance! a lot of top tier tracks in that ost (especially the imposter kings)
