Imagine telling people in the 90s em and Steve would be the faces of sobriety
Bro 😂 i know
Everybody grows up
😂
They were pretty much unknown in the 90s. I think Em blew up in like 99 and jack ass was like 2000.
@@Signal_in_the_noise except for bam.
“And Moby, you can get stomped by Obie”
You 36 year old bald ....
I think we all wanted to type this line 💯😂
@@legendarygigolo823I always thought it was “you 36 year old boy, you fat, blow me”

You don't know me, you're too old let go, it's over
Eminem is the reason why I know who Moby is.
Yep, same
Moby can get stomped by Obie!
Same
I knew who he was before eminem but ...I've never liked his music.😂
No problem with him just his music.
Moby is the human embodiement of smug.
I like how all of them were saying “Eminem took an L” bc MOBY was talking shit and didn’t say it until the end 😊
Eminem hated Moby because he demoted him to the 2nd one since Elvis to use black music so selfishly and use it to get himself wealthy.
This man created one of the greatest Melodies of all time. Ending of Heat is hands down the greatest ending to a film and Mobys talent brings tears every single time
It is not the greatest ending to a movie 😂😂😂😂
@@Littlesaintfortnite he said ONE OF them. learn to read
Extreme Ways in Bourne is better imo
@@michaelg4981 Lol @ learn to read. Buddy, he said " Ending of Heat is hands down the greatest ending to a film and Mobys talent brings tears every single time".
Ha you have to be joking
His music for the film, Heat, was amazing and elevated the film overall.
Eminem in his 20’s would be writing a death blow track right now against all 3 of them 😂
Forreal 😂😂
Lmaooo SLIM SHADYY
And hating gay people too. 🌈 Cult would string him up by his tiny balls
"We could do a 'reach around' amends" 😂😂😂😂 omg that comment was just passed by, nice one, Moby. And Porcelain is one of the best songs ever imho❤
So many things that pissed me off twenty years ago I shake my head at. One of the few perks of getting old is new perspectives.
"You're too old, let go, it's over, nobody listens to techno!"
Kinda ironic he said that. I’d argue techno/dance/hardstyle has become bigger than hip hop since then
@@mootkickee probably not but i'd argue that moby's catalogue aged way better than eminem's and i was a big eminem fan as a kid
@@motivationandknowledge8 agreed. when it’s cold I’d like to die was playing recently on a show I was watching, and it reminded me just how deep his catalogue is 👌
@@motivationandknowledge8without me alone shits on Mobys entire catalogue 😂
I'm a complete stan but techno is WAYYY bigger than rap worldwide
Moby created some really unique music, dont know why people hate him.
🎵Nobody listens to techno🎶😂
A lot of it was straight dog sheet
@@jamesjameson4566 i agree with that, however it shouldnt make people "hate" him. I mean dude is just creating music. A lot of artists produce dog shit and just have one or two good tracks
@@criticalmass527loved that "diss."
Made a great sample for many house dance and techno tracks since that night. 👍🏼 #Techno.since70s
@@jamesjameson4566not compared to the trash em put out for his last 5 albums
Calling Eminem’s music gangster rap is wild
Em was just responding to him like he did everyone else back then
Es la verdad, es musica de delincuentes.
"em" sucks "ass"
Eminem was involved in “gangster rap” Dre signed him. Songs with Snoop, Nate Dogg, Xzibit, inherited beef with Suge Knight
I almost started crying when Moby mentioned the making amends part of being sober. I’m not sober yet but I’m working towards it. I’m at a point in my life where I actually want it for the first time and thinking about getting in touch with the people I pushed away is the scariest part.
Seems like you are in a great mindset for getting sober and are doing it for the right reasons. The relationships we have with our friends and family is what this life is all about and you can reclaim anything you put your mind to 😉
Keep your expectations pretty low on getting those people back or you put your recovery in jeopardy. You’ll be surprised how many people weren’t as close as you think.
If they are your true homies then they'll understand. When we're on substances or drinking we are not who we are while sober, it's as simple as that. Much love and your not alone on that!
@@nickschiller1080 that’s what I’m saying your gonna see how few real homeys you have by the time you finish the first rehab.
@jtp0711 I know what you mean homie, we see who was real and really cared and the ones who didn't really have love in the first place, kind of a good thing to get rid of the phonies to.
I always thought how funny it is Eminem dissed Techno considering he went to raves, and is also from Detroit which is the birthplace of Techno.
Moby's Play album wasn't even Techno. It was electro-pop-dance .. Maybe Moby did some Techno music too but that's not what made him blow up.
@@AdamsOlympia Well Em is old as balls too, so I’m sure he remembers Moby’s early work which is electronic dance music.
An eminem diss is the ultimate shout out! Many artist would pay to be dissed by him. Congrats Moby - wear it like a badge of honor!
😆
only issue is that eminem is mid at the moment. Both artists were at their high point then

it's stick in my head again now 😂
I found out about moby from Eminem, love his music
"Nobody listens to techno, now let's go" - That whole line of Eminem lyrics (from Without Me) dissing Moby was so huge & came off the tongue so well, that even as a Moby & dance music fan I couldn't help myself but sing along. As much as the first part of the lyric (just before this infamous line) was uncalled for & a bit nasty, I'm sure that reference gave Moby a lot more recognition with people who wouldn't have ever necessarily known who he was. It likely felt sh:tty at the time, but I always thought it was nothing more than a rhyme that sounded good to Em & so was used.
😂😂😂😂
You're overthinking this bro.

I honestly think Eminem doesn't really hate Moby
I agree, I think it was more jokingly than we took it. Like petty,
I didn't even know how much Moby that I listen to everyday, a lot!
Moby probably said something about em being vulgar or hateful. And em decided to shoot back. I can't see eminem bashing moby without moby saying something about em first. I'm pretty sure em didn't start shit with moby unprovoked. I could be wrong tho.
Somehow i would like seeing a interview where these two talk about their careers, would be wild.
That ad placement at the end was an assassination attempt. The way i just choked on this dorito....
Love moby back in 94 when i was 14 it got me through some tough times
lol Moby literally started it by talking shit
Mobys music is really fucking good. Em might of just used his name to Rhyme with Obie in a bar.
"GO" away dude....I fuckin love ya!
Steve-o is high as fuck. Eminem didn't take the L 💯
I worked a moby show setting up for him an several bands moby was very nice to me no beef here back in late 90s early 2000 rochester ny great show
"To beef with Moby...there's no street cred in that" LMAO 😂
Yo, Eminem and Moby doing Step 9 together would be fucking wild.
When I watch Steve-O like this and remember his famous "masterpieces" with bulls, bees, and everything that can rip a head off, gives me some kind of...hope in humanity. Even if everyone is killing each other nowadays (2024).
We need a Moby / Eminem collaboration
We do not
Nah
That would make no sense
That's what would make it blow up even more. Beat AI to the punch
Ι think Obie Trice Moby collaboration would be better.
Reminds me to listen to Thousands and Go (the version with the Twin Peaks strings)again...
I was a kid, that em song was on mtv, I looked Moby up and have been a fan ever since.
MOBY knows exactly why people don’t like him, he seems to prefer not being liked so he can feel like a martyr and tell everyone about it
thank you! this!
plus moby made a comments on eminem multiple times back in the day and eminem was just responding in his own crazy funny way.
eminem sucks @@maccd
@@maccdfrom what i've seen all moby did was say that eminem has problematic lyrics which is a fact. he's always relied on being controversial. he did say that he's still talented, he just noted that he felt weird about his homophobic lyrics. funny enough eminem then responded by calling moby the f slur. in most cases all of eminems feuds are because he decided to blow things out of proportion.
I think Moby has accepted the position he's in more so than relish in it. They are both politically outspoken and naturally that comes with discontent from people. I would actually wager Eminem is preferential to people hating him than Moby because hate fuels Eminem's fire from within. It's relevant by just looking at Eminem's lyrics in contrast to Moby's lyrics.
I think Moby is feigning a bit of cluelessness and innocence on how things went down. If people had patted him on the back for saying that about Em, for standing up to the 'macho bully' as some people might see it, he'd be recalling these events differently. He injected his opinion about someone else's art, and he learned not to do it again. Moby has a track record of taking liberties when painting his pictures of history.
Just like everyone else does😂
Nobody is the villain in their own narrative
So true
damn, didn't know this is north korea and it's forbidden to make remarks about other people's art
@@axeavier so it's ok for Moby to say his opinion, but not ok for Em to say something back? stop saying retarded stuff.
Yes Moby, forgiveness is everything.
I saw him open for Bush in Fresno sometime around 2001. I knew very little about him other than his couple hits he'd had at the time. It was phenomenal! He earned a fan in me. Go Moby!
Moby didn’t you say this at the 2001 Grammys "He's very good at what he does, and he's very clever, but he's also a homophobe, a racist and a misogynist, and I find that objectionable."
Moby had legit jams in his time and em hated any commercial success even more after math got it
Love Moby. His music. His personality. The Beach... Thailand dreaming. Soundtrack of life.
Love how you think and your music, of course...
Moby has some bangers.
Steve’s brain cells are gone 😂😂
I have that same Heaven's Gate shirt... we ❤ Moby
Oh, man. Was just listening to “Without Me” by Em just the other day. 😂
Love love love moby!! ❤️
Eminem wrote a brilliant diss about Moby because of what he said. It was nothing more than that. And to a lot of people it was light hearted and funny. Some may have taken it further, but I'd guess the majority of listeners didn't.
I always felt it was light hearted and funny as well. I suspected no real animosity.
Yea it's always the fans that take shit too far (well not always, but almost haha)
😂Nostalgia, I am going to listen to it again now. Eminem 🐐
Light hearted??? Do you not remember the time he called Moby a little girl and threatened to hit him? By the way, this was on stage at the 2002 MTV Awards during his award speech.
@@banx757 Em fans overlook those moments. Em was acting real emotional and immature for a 30 year old to do something like that.
The score for the movie The Beach is Epic. Defines the whole movie and setting...
Steve O gives Slim Shady a big L, because......because he's right....love you Em!
Moby was literally taking shots in the press to the point Elton John came out against ppl like Moby calling Em homophobic.
Cuz he said the word British people call cigarettes lol so dumb
Moby is a master! I loooove his music
We need to get Eminem on this.
i remeber buying Mobys album i think it was called "porcelain" i loved it :)
His music has alot of passion.
I can’t stand this argument, that Eminem is somehow responsible for raising peoples kids.
Well said StevO
We need Eminem on the podcast now 😂
Yes 😂😂😂😂😂
He’s to big for that
These things happen among younger people all fighting for position. But Eminem and Moby both won.
I think Eminem doesnt care about this one bit now, but he still makes sure his bad guy image is intact so he probably wont admit it.
Moby's best track was Feeling So Real (Westbam Remix), released in 94.
I'm a fan of both of them. A lot of people I think are young or were too young when Moby was relevant. For a while he was on mtv every single day, doing movie soundtrack stuff, he had a song on every car commercial imaginable in the 90s. He wasn't some nobody, His album Go is diamond and one of the best selling electronic albums ever. Eminem also being from Detroit where techno got its roots, also knows about techno music hes referenced Jeff mills and some other techno names and raves in his music. But people act like Moby was some nobody when he definitely wasn't.
moby had that weird song with gwen stefani. that song was dope af and thats one of the first things i remember that made me love mtv and gwen stefani
Connecticut!!!🙌🏻
Porcelain and Extreme Ways are masterpieces
It would be nice to see them both get togetherand talk about it
waiting great music from you man.
My brother loved Moby, I grew up hearing him from my brother.
I have over 20 Moby songs in my playlist. I have 0 Eminem songs.
I met Richard years ago...excuse me *Moby* years ago at a performance at the Fonda. This was when he was in his "rock/punk" phase. He had his band members with him. Generally speaking, it was like talking to someone who seemed at constant odds with himself. I told him: "Break a leg." His response was really dismissive or confused. I don't think he actually knew what that idiom meant. True story
I.mean...ur gay
Dam Moby seems like a chiller
Hearing this guy talk about it. I totally get why eminem went after this guy
Eminem is weak. He only went after people who he thought would just take his abuse lying down. You notice he never went after people like The Rock or anyone that do some actually damage
Same.
If Steve didnt ask, Moby was gonna act like he was an innocent victim.
His performance on Jools Holland was awesome.
It sounds like Moby is being interviewed by Ken kaniff from Connecticut
Anyone else imagine all of moby's significant others get sick of being called captain Ahab by all his friends real quick?
The creepy Natalie Portman stuff doesn't help...
I love them both!
at the 2001 grammys moby was calling Eminem ”a misogynist, a homophobe, a racist, and an anti-Semite.” and how everyone should boycott his music
I think he is a whiny liberal baguette personally for the things he has said. His music is decent if you like corporate commercial pop. I love the song he did with Gwen Stefani 20 years ago and I don't know why.
Yo steveo is wearing a heavens gate shirt! Fuck yea!
Lot of people "forget" about the fucked up stuff Em used to say back in the day.
Did you watch the whole interview, I think moby says fuked up stuff irl not in music. Music is music remember, not a serious conversation.
I love Moby and his music but alot of the Moby jokes where funny AF
Both of them blow. They deserve each other.
20 years, wow!
Just saying.. that's a long time ago 😂
Mobys underground music was amazing, Ah Ah and Voodoo Child were the best!
Always known moby for the end song in the Jason bourne movies
F$ck Yeah!
A reach around amends 😂
Moby never commented on rappers using homophobic language or being misogynistic, until Eminem. 👁👃🏼🐈
Em dissed pop stars to distance himself from being labeled as one.
Eminem and Moby should do a song together to squash the beef.
never heard of Moby till now.
play album was great big up Kevin Paul too
Moby and Fred Durst experienced a swift decline in their popularity after Em dissed them on his track. He was the man and if he said someone sucked, his fan base assumed he must be right. It’s kind of sad really
Eminem genuinely has the worst fanbase in rap history
he's a cool dude i'm sure but man his fans are... special
I think you guys are correct, a Dutch rudder definitely sounds like it will end the feud.😂
'Nobody listens to techno..' lol sorry it was a funny line and not 100% true obviously, I like both moby and eminem
That line is used so much in hard techno scen
