A real friend is that the last thing he wants a good friend, not to mention a someone who made him famous in jail! Steve is a Hollywood backstabber doing whatever it takes to get views. He's got an insane superiority complex to the degree he thinks he's moral enough to dictate lives. Sickening
you know we’re in a hell of a multiverse when it’s steveo the one that’s completely healthy and bam the one losing it. godspeed to u steve, so glad to see you doing good!
As I’ve said to others in this comment section, I have the utmost respect for people who have struggled with addiction and found their way again. It takes the strongest type of person imaginable. I hope you’re doing well.
funny you say that because the thought of bam and what he deals with as a deterrent for myself to continue being sober 7 years later. he shouldn’t have ever been kicked out of jackass and steve is the sober czar to pretend to care about bam is sickening
About 10 years ago my childhood friend had gotten so hooked on heroin I had to fully cut ties with him. After 10 years of trying to help him beat his addiction, I just couldn’t anymore. I couldn’t stand it. He called me crying one day, his own father had gotten together with the police department and set him up for a sting after he had overdosed in the shower. His father “ordered a pizza” and sent him outside to meet with the delivery boy, where the cops were waiting. They tased him, tackled him, cuffed him, and he sat in the back of that car bawling that his own father had turned him in. He went to court ordered therapy and drug counseling. He got clean, moved down to where the rehab was and got his license to become a drug and addiction counselor. Also helping veterans get back on their feet and helping them get their disability and retirement benefits approved through the VA as well as their due back pay. Now, that’s not to say he hasn’t had his slip ups. He did slip up once and was immediately caught and served a year in prison. He got lucky. Unfortunately his father passed two months ago, but their relationship was never stronger. When he was in the throes of addiction, he thought it was betrayal. When he got sober, he saw it as the biggest favor anyone has ever done for him.
Yeah opiate addiction can become so scary that even your loved ones don't know what to do anymore ones you consider to be super solid may very well have to bring law enforcement into the picture if they don't want to see you die.
You need to smoke it constantly, it was like a couple hours talk. Makes no sense. He was most likely drunk as was said but it is what it is, it's bonkers to talk about setting up a situation where Bam would get into jail for meth... It's like if rehab doesn't work then why would jail. Sure let's stop cold turkey all of the drugs he has been but on and has a problem. Like at this point this crazy intervening is just causing trauma. Let him do what he does with his money, life and house. I feel like everyone should be out of his life including the relatives. He get's sober if he does, if doesn't then he doesn't. It's that simple. You cannot Force sobriety by guantamo baying someone for it. It's even more messed up when talking about setting it up to happen.
Yea its absurd that people find out a thing a person has done and run with it, precariously placing it onto the person in every story they tell. The worst way to "make" someone get help is to trash them with talk, ghost em, and all the tough love mumbo jumbo that leaves that person feeling abandoned forcing them to feel there is nothing left to loose resulting in the most tragic outcome for most!
@@SociopatheAssumejust a reminder... saying "well, this person who got sober was a lot younger than this other person who's an older mess now is" 1 billion % reinforces the "older mess" person's belief that it's too late for them to bother trying to climb out of their hell. I understand your point is to say that Steve-O might've had more time to save himself and Bam may be in more immediate danger, but please be careful with comments like this. You're literally kind of saying "yeah, but...it sort of is almost too late for Bam" 😕😓😢
@@aaandSCENE well, this si precisely what I'm afraid off, concerning Bam . I do NOT wish at all, and hope he'll be able to be a sober person/father. But here is expectations and there is reality.
Steve o is so fucking annoying. Just like any other person that “ heals themselves “. He acts like he is so much better. Dude. You were a huffer. Glad your doing good for yourself. But quit preaching.
The worst part in all this is that bam has a young child and still refuses to grow up. Losing a best friend is hard but he cant use that excuse for the rest of his life. Hes gotta do better for himself and his family.
It's not just losing Ryan Dunn, he also lost his grandma “Mum-mum” and his uncle Vincent “Don Vito” in that same time period. In that recent interview the Margera family did, they painted the picture about how much Mum-mum and Vito are missed. Yes, I know Vito was a sex offender, but he also was a brother, an uncle a son, there were people who loved him.
@@DeluxeFox1 Pretty much hit the nail on the head. I was a heavy drinker at like 23, just day drinkin on my weekends with no responsibilities, and during that time my Cousin killed himself and my grandpa had died from lung cancer within a year of eachother and it sent me from just a kid drinking to have fun to a kid drinking to escape. Im 28 now and havent commited to full sobriety (I have a pretty strong mind and honestly i enjoy whiskey and other drinks) but it has take a while to get to a point where i feel comfortable to being shit faced all the time.
Bam is a pefect example of a kid whose parents let him do whatever he wanted with no consequences and now that he's an adult and has had to deal with adversity he has no idea how to handle it and blames everone else but himself, it's really sad to see and i really hope that he gets the help he needs and gets his life back on track
Does not mean he does not need help. A real friend would go kick his ass. Not talk shit. Fucking shit talking bullshit youtube greasers. A real friend would go kick down his door and whip his ass until reason. Otherwise you are gunna just watch him die like I have seen my friends die by not doing anything but the same shit.
At this point he really can only help himself by making the decision to stop. Speaking from experience. But it is sad, I don’t wish it on anyone, and I truly hope he DOES make that choice.
You’re the biggest reason I got sober brother. In 2015 I got arrested for my second dui in Pennsylvania. I had already lost my family and I felt like I had nothing left to lose. I got sentenced to 1 year of probation and 6months of ARD. I didn’t take any of it seriously. I remember going to the ARD classes with a beer buzz tied on thinking I had everyone fooled…I did it for the first month, drinking and sitting in these meetings thinking I was better than everyone. I was lost man and so angry. I remember hearing about your sobriety and thinking WHAT A PUSSY he will never make it meanwhile, I was suffering the whole time. I continued to drink and lie through sobriety until one day, a dude came in and told his story so similar to mine and yours. And he brought you up. He was like… fuck man the first time I saw a clean spoon without a burn Mark on it was when I got my first apartment and I was like damn what would Stevie do?? Then he talked about your recovery and how he grew up watching you and how it helped him. That’s when I started watching your videos and seeing what you do man. It changed my life. I know you’ll probably never read this or ever hear this but you saved me. I’m grateful to be able to laugh and watch you grow. It breaks my heart about bam because he grew up 3 hours from me. My mom and his mom used to hang out. I always looked up to him. But honestly man you’re the one I look up to now! And I hope bam can be where we are. Again I’m Sorry for rambling, I don’t normally do this shit on here. But this hit me. Being 4 years clean having a little girl I’m raising on my own after her mom passed away from drug addiction I feel this every day. Thank you Steve-o for getting clean because every time I see you sober it keeps me clean!!.
Cory, I loved reading your story. It's very heartfelt and inspirational. I wish you and your daughter all the best and hope of a bright future for you both.
Corey this is an INCREDIBLE story, I’m so glad you’re sober. I am, too, I’m 4 years from opiates & 2 years from everything else. Your story brought tears to my eyes. You’re an inspiration❤
3:32 I watched that interview. He was clearly not on meth. And I am an EMT trained to see signs of drug abuse. UPDATE: BAM PASSED A DRUG TEST. Are ya’ll gonna remove these accusations? or keep defaming your so called friend?
The issue with Bam is that he doesn't want to get sober. He still thinks what he's doing is awesome and fun and glorious. He can't let go of the old days. I've been around people like him for 20 years and it only ends 2 ways. He decides that he wants to get better for himself because he wants it for himself or it ends up costing him his life.
I've watched the videos of that girl, and the only thing she wants them free of is that conservatorship... And I don't think that's wrong it's just a way to control rich people's money all the people that Lima's been associated with hasn't had good results.
RIGHT!!! I meanwhat's so wrong with warning him to be in control of his own life clearly having others in control of his life hasn't worked so why don't they let him try it his way then I think you'll see a major change in Bam. Facts ain't defamation! ❤
Going to jail and almost losing everything was the best thing that ever happened to me. As someone like many of us who grew up with you guys I truly hope Bam pulls through. I know he’s miserable too
@@macysondheim i hope you deal with something like that, then come back to this comment and say it doesn’t count. You feel better after shitting on a person working on getting sober?
Its almost like you shouldn't judge a book by its cover because You can't know whats deep inside the pages. Dude was always clearly a very insightful funny person but drugs probably held him back (just my take)
I always enjoyed Steve-O's antics, but I love the man he has become and what he has fought through to get where he is today. I have so much respect for him.
This is just so sad it’s even more sad seeing Steve-O acknowledge what they could be and seeing him hurt because of his friend. Breaks my heart. Can’t say you didn’t try. Sorry you have to feel this pain.
Steve weren’t the crew INCLUDING Bam all there for you to help you out with this EXACT issue? As a former addict im SUPER disappointed that your willing to talk shit about your “friend” for podcast views and I can understand that you probably tried some stuff to help but you do not give up on those you love let alone use their downfall for money and ratings… You should be locking him in a house with you and the boys and going through this together. Theirs a reason you never were all over the news for this long. Bam isn’t in his right mind so anything he does to help himself is going to do the opposite and YOU KNOW THIS. Sure addicts stay or get sober when they want to but you DEFINITELY can help him cut back and be a functioning person at the very least until then or atleast stay out of the news. What he has done while binging is nuts but its also not him and you know that too. Bam has always been the nice guy behind his mask. He’s not gunna threaten people’s lives unless hes had no sleep for a week n lots of meth and alcohol so he doesn’t think straight. You shouldn’t be getting updates FROM REDDIT… your supposed to be his day one. If this is how my friends and family acted when I needed to get sober i’d be dead.. STEP UP. Love you guys and sending my best wishes to Bam, just wish you would act like a genuine friend and fellow addict for him and help him.
its sad but whats more sad imho is watching steve0 talk about it like this and getting his news from REDDIT insteada being there for Bam when he needs him most and getting him out of the spotlight etc. I wouldn’t even worry about the charge if I was him, those guys literally saved his life. I’d pay a fine for helping get my buddy sober enough to turn himself in and go walk down right with him and pay my fine and his bail. He’s acting like “oh well i told him to stop” is enough.. they didnt give up on him and he shouldn’t on Bam. You don’t see Knoxville trying to scrape up some money by going on podcast or tv to talk about Bam wanting to box him (which probably resulted from Knoxville trying to force him into HELP in the first place, and that’s how you know your starting to break through to them even just a little because theyr angry at themselves not you) he’s actually respecting his privacy and trying his best to help. I’m sure you tried some stuff Steve but please go try harder. Get his parents too. Have him committed! Hell there are MANY more things you can do and using him for views isn’t one. Thats more sad then this whole spiral he’s had.
Is Bam's family talking to TMZ? That's bad form, like really, can the guy not even trust his Mom? Can I just say Steve-o can't hide how much he loves that this is happening. Apparently Bam punched his brother in the face so his brother rang the police. Should you punch someone? Fuck no! Not okay Bam, but not many brothers I know would ring the police if their brother punched them, they'd just punch them back. Also he has not been the same since his friend died. Nobody can help Bam, that's his choice, he has to decide to do it for himself. FYI, they're talking out of their asses, That Surprise Witness did not know he was on meth if he is at all, but he was handed a drink of alcohol during the interview, she says this on her podcast if they'd bother to watch it to actually get the facts, but they would they do that right?
Here's the truth: Bam was the spoiled brat a.d.d. kid with the kind of parents that let him get away with anything and bought him anything. This can be seen in his personality even to this day. However.....Bam created CKY in the late 90s. CKY was a national treasure and Bam and crew were household names by the year 2000 among kids 12-25. CKY was everywhere. When Tremaine and Knoxville went to MTV with their Knoxville video, MTV wasn't interested unless CKY and all of it's popularity could be brought on board. Skating had been growing in massive popularity across the US but especially in the midwest in the mid 90s. Today, the crew from Big Brother magazine would love for you all to believe that Big Brother was this big hit in the way that CKY was. It Was Not! In fact, outside of LA virtually no one had heard of Big Brother magazine. So, the CKY crew is brought on board. MTV licenses footage from CKY and CKY2k for Jackass. Go watch the Jackass tv show now on Paramount, or watch the first Jackass movie. Most of the footage is cut and paste right out of CKY or skits from CKY are reshot with the new crew. IE. The Rental Car. Bam was the head writer and creator for Jackass and the licenses purchased by MTV as well as the CKY money not only helped him settle lawsuits over CKY but they made him rich before Jackass ever premiered. When Jonny and Steve-o were driving 10k dollar cars, Bam was showing up in supercars. This created jealousy from the Big Brother crew and caused rifts between the two different crews (Big Brother/CKY) that weren't seen in the public eye. Mostly between Tremaine/Knoxville/Steve-o and Bam/Dico. When Brandon Dicamillo left he said, I refuse to buy Jeff Tremaine another 10 million dollar house. You can see the massive reduction in the thought of the skits just by watching everything before Jackass 4 and Jackass 4 itself. Jackass 4 is 90% penis and butthole jokes. Bam like many of the others was headed down a bad road leading to addiction which clearly went full throttle after the death of one of his best friends. However, this has been exacerbated by the fact that the Big Brother crew continue to be egomaniacal narcissist's who paint a false picture of the truth. They've always been jealous of Bam, never wanted him there in the first place and now Bam has helped give them the ammo to sink him while they all get ahead off what he originally built. They lie about all of it and gaslight him every chance they can get. This is why Bam challenged Knoxville. This is why he continues to spiral. It's not because he's a POS, it's because he's dealing with this reality that none of you know is the truth. Unfortunately, it seems like what Bam really needs, are REAL friends.
You guys are slamming Steve-O pretty hard for holding his friend accountable. “Oh Steve-o was on drugs and yet he’s shaming Bam, Steve-O is being a hypocrite mehhh” NEWS FLASH: he didn’t get clean because people just let him get away with shitty behavior. He probably had people give him really tough love to push him to the point of HAVING to get clean. What’s he supposed to do? Sit there and say “wow bam haha so funny drugs are bad but whatever have a great life” absolutely not! In order for bam to get his life together, he needs accountability and friends that will give him tough love. As a former addict myself, I know from experience that those are the friends you hate in the moment but love when you look back and realized their tough love and accountability saved your fucking life.
That's not helping at all. If bam ain't reaching out to him then he needs to mind his business and worry about himself...not to mention putting an other man in prison can get your average Joe killed in America 🤦
@@swiftvixxen BS. I had my spleen and half my liver removed do to heavy drinking..I don't go around telling grown men how to live their life or try and put them in prison 🤦
*"My client is presumed innocent," van der Veen (Bam's lawyer) said. "The rumors that have been being passed around by his brother through this last week have been nothing short of defamation and that will be handled in another courthouse." He got a lawyer, turned himself in & "a judge arraigned the reality star and he was then released on signature bond, according to court records. Margera faces a preliminary hearing in May."* This youtube page is as reliable as his source, tmz.
Steve o appears to be in cahoots with this network of parasites looking to suck bams bank account dry, THAT is what’s sad. Most would be driven to some vice under such betrayal. If you break down each ‘intervention’ by police reports/body cam footage/court filings it’s plain to see Bam is being manipulated by those closest to him not unlike Britney Spears. @thatsurprisewitness compiled all these legal documents and is an IVY LEAGUE LAW SCHOOL GRADUATE. And you guys are gonna believe this Ringling Clown College grad when he calls her a “LUNATIC.” 😂😂😂 The irony. These defamatory lies make me see Steve o entirely differently. Not that I ever looked up to him… I mean, cmon. And now look at him and Novak high-horsing now that they’re just around the bend 💩🤡 some “friends”…
Right like clearly locking him up is not working, bad mouthing him to the press, and putting all of his business out there what kind of family? Oh the one that lives off of him in the house he bought from money he made but some how he’s to incompetent to have basic civil rights to be a free man and not locked up for 10 years like Britney Spears their literally doing the same thing in front of peoples faces and their agreeing with them! 🙌🏼
3:50 Steve-O making a point here I see a lot of people swear up-and-down isn’t true. He might make a podcast clip with a flashy title when Bam’s publicly antagonizing him, but he really isn’t interested in making money off his friend’s suffering. For a man willing to shill out butt wipes and hot sauce I feel like it shows integrity and care for his former friend to scrap that footage
Probably not though unfortunately.. guy is deep in the insanity at this point.. drug induced psychosis.. and it's very difficult to overcome that.. you need to surround yourself with reasonable down to earth people who make you responsible for your actions
Hell Steveo sure as hell hope he doesn't because he knows if Bam ever sobers up then he can staty counting down the days for when he gets canceled... Steveo well aware of the fact he wouldn't be shit if it hadn't been for Bam and Bam's the one who'd popular not Steveo.. It's also amusing how he talks about the two of them together if Bam was sober but he knows damn well that would never happen because he's too jealous of Bam and honestly never was one of Bams favorite people...
@@brianswathey yeah but some people are just different. It has a lot to do with self-awareness and caring about people who care about you as a person anyone can become a train wreck circumstances allow it, but most people are able to come around and see the light and make the changes they need to make to live a full and complete life, I’m not gonna say never I don’t want to say never say never but I don’t think that is in the cards for Bam Margera to be perfectly honest he is extremely selfish extremely immature. He doesn’t have the self-awareness and he doesn’t place any value in what his friends and people who care about him think honestly he could care less and well his behavior might be a result of drug and alcohol. You send abuse that’s not the reason why he is who he is as a person someone who is not a good person is going to be that way with or without drugs and alcohol and vice versa I think Steve O always was a good person and that’s the difference.
Best of luck to you. You have support whether you know it or not. If you ever need to talk feel free to hit me back and I'll give you my email. Ain't lookin to preach but the one little bit of small advice that helped me in the past and I try and give that may help....if you fuck up and use again, it ain't the end, it's a bump in a road, don't think it's all down the drain all of a sudden because that's only the case if you let it be the case. Far too many people relapse and then just go all in on throwing it away, can't fuckin count how many times I did that myself. It happens. Also, for the longest time I was anti-support group, or at least thought it just wasn't for me. Breaking news....fucking EVERYONE thinks that. Until I was forced to go, it didn't immediately work any miracles, but it was another very useful tool in the box. Your comments made me emotional in a good way, even though I failed and went on what is now a three-day use period. I get so intense and almost hypomanic when I am sober, especially if I quit nicotine too I am working the entire summer but planning on going to do a month or two of rehab. I was clean for almost three months - even cigarettes - last Spring, without NA or AA and just cold-turkeying and my psychiatrist says my addiction is psychological mostly. My client, who employs me, is a dear friend and knows of all of this and is helping me plan my rehab if it is necessary. As fo me. I'm so sorry. My brother is also lost in addiction and we try but he is still very much into it. I fear I'll find out he is dead. Sending you so much love. Im so very sorry for your loss.
I think Steve-O has realised that there's only so much you can do for someone who really doesn't want to change. Steve-O seems at peace now that he's tried to help Bam in every way, but Bam doesn't want and appreciate that help, so Steve-o is backing off and letting Bam participate in his own downfall. Well done Steve-O for trying for as long as you have been, you've been a great friend to Bam and when Bam is on his deathbed he'll probably be grateful to have had great friend like you - he's just too fucked up at the moment to realise it.
It's a shame, I really was hoping that this was Bam's moment of realization and understanding of his addiction.. it felt like he was finally starting to turn the corner.. this is incredibly sad. Still hoping he can find happiness, and recovery sometime soon. You don't know the darkness of depression and addiction, until you've been there yourself, I truly hope he can get better. The dude had his best friend sacrificed for fame/money and his guilt aka "excuse" addiction took over his brain. You use drugs to escape reality from your dark temptations
I’m currently in active addiction and it’s so hard to admit how much better quality of life is sober but, I’ve been 3 years sober before. This time though, i don’t think I’ll come back. No other drugs. I just hate everything so much. Mainly myself and don’t feel I can ever like myself. It is a lot to do with alcohol feeding my already existing depression. I’ll just keep on trying though I guess until it’s kaput. I won’t listen to anyone.
Get the bam crew together, film it, cry & shit, tackle the mfer, hog tie Bam, bring a poster life like cut out of ryan dunn, put bam hog tied into a padded truck, Bring him to jail, lmao. Steveos philosophy of recovery and the way they laugh and ponder about ways they could set him up to use so he gets sent to jail is the most fucked up and sick thing. He needs to stay Far Far away from this circle of people. I hope he finds actual and legitimate treatment and support and people who care and will really listen to him.
Steve-O finding out about the Rabbit Hole that is Reddit this late makes me laugh a little cuz im pretty sure there’s subreddit dedicated only for Steve-O lol
@@Maverick.D. Yea I was actually just literally looking for the right now because I saw it iny recommendations earlier today and was waiting to watch that right now and didn't see it on his page. So thank you for clearing that up for me
It for sure isn't reddit. It's his family, nothing else really makes sense. This thing is already so convoluted mess that I don't think Steve-O should even be commenting on it. Everything around this thing isn't any normal procedure in terms of what has happened after the guardianship. They found a new judge from differend state to extend the stay at one point after a Florida judge said that he has never seen anyone being extended the 90 days for 9 times in a row. They did it so the new judge would think it's the first 90 days, not an extension.
as someone who struggled with sobriety myself especially when I was younger I really hope bam can pull a turn around but I know that's so much harder as someone gets older. Jail time (unfortunately took 3 times to sink in and a threat to doing more serious time) and rehab were exactly what I needed, if I could have I would have locked myself in a bunker to get away from my substance abuse but unfortunately it took going into withdrawals and almost dying multiple times after my 3rd arrest to finally be willing to go to rehab.
I'm 42 and still struggling, I don't drink anymore but I've replaced with weed and amphetamine. I just enjoy weed but amphetamine helped me come off drink. But after a few years of amphetamine use obviously I'm finding it hard to stop completely because of boredom and situation. I take my hat off to anyone that admits they have or had a problem. I've spent most of my adult life justifying my substance use rather than admitting anything.

I get he fcked up this time, but I feel like its been "Bam this or Bam that" for a min now. He's mentally ill. He's an addict. You know how difficult that is to live with, Steve-O. I mean, how many times have you ran from the cops? Bam's aware you're disappointed- I'm sure he's disappointed, too. But this is doin too much. It's easy to understand why celebrities have such a difficult time with recovery. No one respects the process, man. Part of the process involves relapses, it involves anger, & mistakes. Come on man... Wishing someone to be locked up is kinda messed up. Edit: I figured a group of millionaires would have more creative solutions than that.
No. It's not messed up when someone is as out of control as, unfortunately Bam is, Jail is the best thing for him at this point. What's the alternative? DEATH.. I am an addict that found recovery 9 years ago. I understand what Steve O is saying and agree 100%
@@nicholas.alan85 It's bizarre to advocate a person should be jailed for drinking a legal substance. He's not addicted to meth. He's a drunk that is financially responsible for his entire family yet not allowed to live in the home he built for himself. He doesn't have to stop drinking if he doesn't want to. It's weird af to say a person doesn't deserve freedom because they like being drunk.
The road to hell is paved with good intentions- All of the people talking about bam and "trying to help" need to just let him go. You can't force another person to do anything. I honestly feel like he's being backed into a corner and that makes people desperate and suicidal. 🤷🏻♂️
I disagree with the idea to call for support to be abandoned when he seems to be struggling the most. I do understand that it can be borderline-impossible to help a person so far gone but to call for people to "let him go"? You don't think Steve appreciated the help when he was struggling?
Just like they all wanted steve-o to get better. Thankfully, he did. Bam is WAY down that rabbit hole though. He is going to need help in a big way. Best of luck to him. Been in a similar spot and without my friends I wouldn't be here commenting.
Bam isn't going to make it to 50. Probably for the best for everyone. It's like having a severely deformed child. It'll bring everyone peace once they die.
Hes an alcoholic, they have times when they r sober for periods of time and are doing well, but eventually relapse. Once an alcoholic always an alcoholic. Its the hardest drugs to stop and has the lowest rate of getting sober. Dont ever let alcoholics fool you.

@@sc1338 wdym? Genuinely, just being civil here. Yes, Bam suffered the loss of his best friend....12 years ago. Yes, it was heartbreaking for him, and I'm sure it always will be, but Dunn died of alcoholism, Steve-O also mentioned he believes this to be true in an interview he was on. Bam has been provided with the best possible care at his disposal and he just fucks it up by his own accord, time and time again. It's not even about Dunn anymore. It's about his selfishness. I get addiction & alcoholism, as I'm in recovery from both. To say that what's happened has gotten out of control would be an understatement... he has a kid, he has a family, he has people who love & care about him. He's been given more tools, more chances, etc. than Steve-O was given.
I’ve been where he was, and honestly he probably doesn’t even care about sleeping at this point let alone getting help. I hope he can get healthy, and then seek a therapist.
Well, somethings got to give. If Bam can't figure out a way to fix himself, maybe jail is what is necessary to scare him into changing his negative ways.
@@danman6669 doesn’t work for everyone. Some people take the trauma and go further into drugs to cope. Plus jail is full of drugs. Some people feel so hopeless and so much self hatred that the drugs are just a slow “unaliving”. If you feel you have no reason to live why stop. He has to have proper mental health treatment and jail will not do that.
I used to really like Steve o and Co but watching this just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Airing his dirty laundry publicly in front of millions of people, not only that they openly sit there mocking him, making jokes at bams expence and laughing about his situation... Where's the empathy for your friend or at minimum a fellow human being? Frankly it's rather sick. Maybe bam would do better with real friends rather than these fakes using him for views.
Then bam is just the weakest person ever. Steve-O was a notorious drug addict and everyone couldn’t stand him or his actions yet here he his clean and sober and the happiest he’s been. Bam doesn’t have any excuse . He can’t keep falling back on Ryan’s death as a reason for his behavior
@@fitforaspidey729 The weakest? I wouldn't call someone not wanting to get sober "weak". You can't really compare stevo and bam. They have two different upbringings. Two different families. Two different types of triggers. Do you consider every addict that has died too weak to survive? Everyone needs to stop comparing him to everyone else or every other person's addiction. @Anastasia Ryker yes. Every addict that dies was too weak to survive. Infact, ANYONE that dies for ANY reason was too weak to survive. If a passenger jet crashes into my head and it inevitably kills me.. guess what... I was too weak to survive
Surely Steve-O has an intimate enough of a history with Bam that he is surely coming from a place of love and exhaustion. To criticize SO for wanting his friend to get possibly the only intervention that could save him is ignorant.
True friends don't just sit back and watch as their friends destroy themselves. They take action and show tough love and that's what Steve-O is doing here.
The “looney lady” that interviewed Bam has a channel called BJ investigates. It sounds like he just wants to look good and make her sound bad. She made a really good series on him that has him really mad. I think I heard he is trying to sue her for it.
Britney did and there's another similarity - being locked up against their will. No one would come out of that positively - you can't force anyone to change. Stevo is disgusting to talk about him on UA-cam. Profiting off someone's poverty porn is just the lowest.

Makes me sad. You grow up with these guys and you almost feel like they are a part of your life. I know this has to be breaking Steve O's heart, because I've never even met Bam, and it bums me out. Anybody that is truly into the Jackass world, has probably lost friends at some point, to drugs or alcohol. It's tough to see someone like him, with soooo much support around him constantly drown. It's never too late. Still rooting for Bam, but jail at this exact moment, could be a blessing for him. Much admiration for Steve O. Everyone should be fortunate enough, to have a friend like him
The steve-o of old would never condone this type of snitching behavior. If you told me in 2004 Steve-O would be sober and the voice of reason I would never believed it
Out of the entire jackass crew, Bam was the only one that came off as mean spirited. I remember how funny he thought it was to sucker punch his own friends.
Steve-O has really impressed me with how calm, cool, and collect he is these days. Who would have thought one of the biggest Jackasses on Jackass would have turned out to be so down to earth, intelligent and wise.

Literally the way Steve o is talking u would not tho k that he was a former addict on hard drugs that was so close to death. He’s on such a high horse and laughing at these stories that aren’t even confirmed to be true but isn’t trying to see things from his “friends” perspective or trying to help him. If u hear that your friend is possibly on meth and and is running from the cops why would you get on your podcast and gossip about it and laugh at him. Bam has no true ppl in his life.
I don’t disagree with many points Steve-O made, but to insult and accuse BJ investigates with zero facts, referring to her as the loony lady and implying she supplied him with drugs, and claiming that she knew he was under the influence during their interviews with zero proof of any of it is a little immature on Steve o’s part. She had proof of a lot of her claims and didn’t put any judgment on bam. I get steve o has to be irritated at this point with bam but when he doesn’t even know the truth because he is not there nor involved he’s only running on an assumption, word of mouth, and what he reads on Reddit. This whole situation is heart breaking and I pray bam gets help but Steve o just seemed like a d!&k head in this.

@@owengraziano7288 8 years for myself

Your comments made me emotional in a good way, even though I failed and went on what is now a three-day use period.
I am functional during, go to work, sleep, eat and process the poison - cocaine and 3mmc and alcohol - and then sober up, feel awful and usually manage to stay sober and clean for a week before I relapse.
Been to a couple of meetings, can mostly curtail my abuse to once a week, but felt bad after having recommitted to the program twice already. I even remove the key-chain from my set of keys when I do bumps.
I struggle with bipolarity, type II, and ADD, and take meds for the latter.
How did you guys get over that first week hiccup? I get so intense and almost hypomanic when I am sober, especially if I quit nicotine too
I am working the entire summer but planning on going to do a month or two of rehab. I was clean for almost three months - even cigarettes - last Spring, without NA or AA and just cold-turkeying and my psychiatrist says my addiction is psychological mostly.
My client, who employs me, is a dear friend and knows of all of this and is helping me plan my rehab if it is necessary.
As fo me. I am in my early thirties, never did drugs because of the bipolarity looming over my family tree, but decided to pursue making art professionally and did not want to be afraid of it anymore, and did my first line aged 28, and hated it. Until 29, where it clicked.
Is it me not having reached rockbottom or staying in the same surroundings?
Therapy has helped, and I am building up agency and self-confidence through starting to observe everything I do do well.

Jail time (unfortunately took 3 times to sink in and a threat to doing more serious time) and rehab were exactly what I needed, if I could have I would have locked myself in a bunker to get away from my substance abuse but unfortunately it took going into withdrawals and almost dying multiple times after my 3rd arrest to finally be willing to go to rehab.
same.

Steve-O is such a douche for putting this video out. What a hypocrite

@Drexl Spivey um... Yes. I have. That's why I'm 100% certain that's where he needs to be. (that kind of backfired eh?)
