      I'd of loved the natural closeness with my siblings as a kid. Seeing pops more,, seeing mom & pops together more enjoying themselves in simplicity ect.. Who doesn't love nature and a 🔥 pit with a deck wrapped around, a roof over head as long as no worries of food is in the belly 😋 thats all awesome in my mind. 😃 haha this was awesome to see. Even after watching all episodes of all tiny homes Bryce has covered on his show, I keep coming back to this one. This family has encouraged my husband and I to buy a 2 acre land and we cannot wait to build a home like this. I love how rustic and untouched his garden is. No manicured lawns and no ornamental plants nor rose and hydrangeas. This is so close to nature in the best way possible. I just love this family and their home, complete with river water and fire pit.

I struggled for years to provide for them but that’s another story for another day. The internet wasn’t a thing and I didn’t know a soul who had done it. • @Well_possibly
      @Well_possibly 6 років тому +2

      Mrs Green, yes, cute, but toddlers can die from *parasites in soil.*
      One parasite is from raccoon feces. You can read about it at phys (.) org
      Title:
      "Deadly raccoon roundworm can infect humans without symptoms, new study finds"
      Overall, I love the home these parents have provided for their children. They clearly love their children and have made many wise choices.

    • @Well_possibly
      @Well_possibly 6 років тому

      Sophia pinella, hmmm, no offense, but you presented anecdotal evidence. You know anecdotal evidence isn't actual evidence, right? That is great if you rarely get sick, but it doesn't prove anything. You also didn't say you ate dirt, so I think you are setting up a false equivalency.
      Your argument was also a strawman, since I never proposed it was an either-or choice between children playing out in the dirt or staying indoors. My comment was about the child getting soil in his mouth.
      I'm not saying this happened, but isn't it possible that today there are more aggressive diseases from microorganisms in soil compared to when you were a child? Or perhaps more widely spread?
      No hate here. Just trying to encourage a better argument.
      Little help here: was it determined that carpet cleaning chemicals played a role in Jett Travolta's death? I searched and found nothing saying this. I would appreciate a link if you have one.

    • @ps8300
      @ps8300 6 років тому +1

      @Well possibly, Please, JUST THINK. People are SURROUNDED BY & CONSUME a plethora of chemicals, toxins, poisons and pesticides on a daily basis. They eat
      preservative-laden "Frankenfood". Animals that are injected with antibiotics and growth hormones. GENETICALLY MODIFIED (aka GMO) fruits, vegetables (and also lawns &
      shrubs) are sprayed with toxic ROUNDUP and other Monsanto poisons. How many people are filled with DIS-ease from chemical-laden lifestyles? Then they turn to BIG
      PHARMA for toxic deadly prescriptions in a feeble attempt to get relief from symptoms of their DIS-eases and only get sicker and feel miserable which causes them to down
      even MORE drugs in an attempt to feel better. ONLY THEY DON'T. They end up miserable & unable to function and then they die. I'd rather have the raccoon poop.

    As a child growing up back in the 60's I use to live like this part time. My father loved the outdoors and loved saving money, so most of my summers (as in several weeks or months at a time) we would spend living in a tent near some lake or stream. Our meals consisted of a lot of things gathered from the wild, caught or hunted. Even when the summer was over and back in the city, we had a garden and my father would continue to gather from the wild. He knew where to find wild asparagus and berries. I've eaten things like cat tails (the plant) and had natural gathered sassafras tea. My dad believed everyone should know how to survive off the wild.

      This reminds me of Joe and Zach survival UA-cam channel they have a tent they use for all their time off in Minnesota free camping and everything I think they've had it like 10 years now... I live in the state of Michigan and literally if I had my choice I would live in a canvas tent even in the winter because of wood stove puts out a lot of heat but of course all the regulations and strict rules about housing and everything in the state are ridiculous you have to find unrestricted land and it's extremely hard to find it... And don't even think about not having running water they consider it criminal up here..

      Scarlett Moon imma Native American woman who had to live what people of non-Native American roots did not have the opportunity in choosing running water and electricity. God Bless you since you believe that this lifestyle is a choice for you?? The Native people lost their homes, land , I believe you are intelligent enough to understand?? God Bless you today with the gift 🎁 of WISDOM...💕🙏😇

      Aww thank you Shawneya . I would choose this lifestyle in a moments notice , if I could. One day, hopefully sooner than later. I think in today's world we are so far away from our roots we have lost All connection to the land and to Mother Earth. But I have noticed that there is a change happening ALL over the world were people especially the Native peoples are reclaiming their cultures and land. Even the Caucasian natives are finding their roots. Not in a negative sense like a Nazi, but in their old ways of living, pre-Christian. Where we once were one with Nature. I believe we once had a knowledge not only of herbs and plants, but many things that you only can acquire when you are in tuned to the Earth. And we have lost that knowledge over the past 500-600 years. But I believe that many of us are now searching and finding it once again.

      Scarlett Moon I was thinking the same thing. Society has been programed in such a way that all we think about is STUFF! I was impressed with what the young man said, 'in thirty years, what's really going to be important...that 40 hr/week job or the memories and time you spent with your kids and family?" This young couple is smart, not giving in to the social engineering that basically separates families, for hours per day, each week. Getting back to the basics and putting more worth on loved ones instead of material possessions. Awesome 💕

      Shawneya: I understand that when the indigenous people of America lost their “land” they lost so much more. Human beings, when thoughtful, intuitively miss the connection to the land. We drown it out with all sorts of noise: work; TV; drugs; etc. Giving our children the gift of outdoors is the greatest gift we can bestow. I looked like that little girl 68 years ago. I wish I was raised that way....

    It would be interesting to get a follow up of these houses 5 years down the road. The first 6 - 12 months seem easy, like a honeymoon period: you’re excited about the new home, new lifestyle, etc. I wonder what happens with wear and tear, animals and insects in the surroundings, even the dynamics with the family that lends the land. I don’t want to sound critical, I’m just wondering how this type of living evolves over time, it’s easy to like it and get excited when you see a family in their first months in a new place.

    This Is so inspiring ! I am really disappointed in all the hate, these people are trying to do better for themselves. My theory is that her family is not rich, just kind. I am only 20 and just got married. My husbands parents are kind enough to let us live with them until we can afford to be on our own. His parents are not rich just humble and kind. I think her family is the same way. Compassionate for their daughter and her husband and kids. What is wrong with 2 adults and kids wanting a more simple life? And what is wrong with a lady being a hairstylist? She is just pretty and likes nice things; nothing wrong with that. God Bless that family, I believe they are honest and just want the best for their kids. I challenge you all to try to be happy for others and believe they have the best intentions. It is freeing!❤️

No need for a room and all the drama for privacy, they could build their own and move out and provide for themselves by 16. I absolutely LOVE this way of living. I think all humans should evolve to this. Being apart of nature while giving back to it. Cutting down costs, and things that break down our planet. Eliminating the social standards that lead to poverty, depression, class systems, ext. I’m brining my kids up like this✨

      @Nick Paulson the point of it is dude that a big house and all the things that go along with it take you away from nature, xbox to much tv etc isnt good and it doesnt make anyone happy. theyre trying to get back to nature, giving there kids a good childhood. they'll be a lot happier living this life than kids in a big house with all the trimmings i assure you.

    • @boneTHUGS111
      @boneTHUGS111 5 років тому +1

      @Nick Paulson well it sounds like you still work though? having a job and keeping up a place the size of yours would be hard work. These people arent really doing a normal job anymore though, so its not so hard for them by the sounds of it. To be honest i wouldnt want to be working still and living in a place like this, i'd only do it if i could go nearly completely off grid.

      Is it really more than $5000 a month to rent in NJ? What size space are you renting? That's unreal! I live in boring Ohio, in a fairly small cape cod house built in 1956, and my mortgage is right around $1000 a month lol. That's in a nice little neighborhood with similarly built homes with a good school district. The houses aren't what id call anything special, they're old too, but even in some of the best and newest neighborhoods, with huge houses, I wouldn't imagine they have a mortgage that high here. I'm seriously in disbslief. I knew the cost of living in places like that and some places in California, Chicago, etc is really expensive, but I didnt realize it was *that* expensive.

    I’m really inspired by this young couple because it proves that almost anyone can do it and not pay a fortune either. It’s also inspiring to see young people not necessarily part of the Green movement realising there is a wonderful life to be had if only you remember what really matters in life. They are positively radiant with joy and contentment. Good on ya! From Australia
