It had colorful pictures, on each page, of different animals "being very cozy" with each other. But by the 1980's 5th grade s__ education embarrassed Me in mixed company, and they no longer separated the children. @@davisholman8149 I agree that it's an important issue, but I just looked up the book and it's actually pretty ok. Firstly, it's for teens. Secondly, the book pretty much just addresses all the things teens want to know regarding sex. Not what parents would like their pubescent kids to know, but what these kids actually want to know and/or should know. Not addressing all those issues will just lead to those teens getting their info from who-knows-where, possibly exposing them to harm.
Yeah it's unfortunate that some teens sext and send nudes. If I could magically prevent all minors from doing so I would. But in reality they'll do it regardless whether you forbid them to or not, so better they learn how to do it safely.

If I were president of the board, I would propose a rule: 1) Any book that cannot be read during a live board meeting must instantly be banned from the school. 2) Every new book must have the name of the person who approved it on record. 3) Any materials that are considered lude or pornographic will be referred to the police or DA along with the name of the person who approved it.

At first I thought this was actually a good idea. Let's face it, kids are stupid and will do stupid stuff. It's best that someone warns them of the dangers of sexting and if they plan on doing it (which they will, because again, kids are stupid), they might as well do it in a way that doesn't harm them in the long run, but then the part came of "complimenting the partner"? My sister in law tried to give that book to our 12-year-old daughter for her birthday. I told my wife (her sister): "maybe we should look it over first?". We did, and we were appalled. We did not give it to our daughter, and when we questioned my sister in law, she basically told us we are old fuddy duddies who "don't understand modern children and the modern world". She is 37 and childless and not married. She also on the same day gave another book to our 15 year old son called "The Basics" by the same author. The content in that book talks and shows sex, gay sex, and says "While you are pounding the person in the a _ _ ". Again, zero comprehension that this is grooming pornography. She is an ultra Liberal and it is insane to be around her.

I am both shocked and disgusted that the concerned father was silenced by a vote of 5-2 when he did nothing more than read a page from a book that was approved for young kids by the school board! He did nothing obscene or that would be censored on radio or television but still he was shut down. Why? These people have a radical agenda and don’t want the parents to know about it, lest they try to stop it!
Parents should get together en mass without these board member low life's and get on the same page. Have a reading session of all the books that these board members have allowed. These tyrants don't think these parents are human beings with a right to protect their kids. That should just be default understanding.

From public school. Everyone who has the intelligence should home school. It doesn't take that much time, just an hour or two a day and then most of the weekend. Vacations can double as field trips. There are homeschooling groups that can help.

Without any other justification or Congressional notification, the FBI sent notices to field offices to watch these Parents.
