Hi, Automakers typically design engines with some tolerance for minor overfills to account for accidental overfilling during maintenance. However, the degree of tolerance varies, and significant overfilling can still cause issues like increased pressure, foaming, and oil pump strain. It's crucial to maintain the oil level within the recommended range to avoid these potential problems. If you suspect that your engine has been significantly overfilled, it's best to drain the excess oil immediately to prevent damage.
