My battery goes down from 99% to 92% in just really 3-4 mins 🙂
yeah it's strangely normal 😅..
i have used Mi band 2, 3 & 5 and they were all draining from 100% to like 85% soo fast.. then the rest would be normal 😉

I recently bought MI Band 5 and I'm facing this problem. When I plug it to the charger it powers up, connects to the MI Fit app and shows 100% charged. But as soon as i unplug it, it powers off and the screen is blank and becomes as good as dead. Any idea as to what has happened and how to fix it?

I have used mi band 4 from 21 September 2019 to continuously 1.5 years, with Call/app alert/SMS and basic thing turned on,
and in the whole life of this band it Lasted 12 days exactly, in last days of the band it used to last around 6 days, but never lower than 6,
Now its broken and I want an upgrade, I am thinking about Band 6 but its reviews are very bad, so definitely buy this one

I could make a video explaining how to solve others empty glass water problem filling it with water when their glass has a hole and when they answer to me saying their glass doesn't fill I could say oh you probably bought another version of glass , that's the hole version 😂. Too much funny thanks for made me smile. Selling products with serious problems of battery should just be named as scam and them should be removed from the market, specially when owner of products wrote false information about battery life on package and advertising.

Very nice idea...first you buy the best mi band for 60usd, with a lot of functions and then you turn all OFF...is beter to use mi band 4 for 10usd which dont have battery consumption functions...

I just received my mi band 5 today. It was completely drained when I received it so I charged upto 87%. After just 2 - 3 hours it completely drained! Just 3%. Is this normal? I was trying all the features and setting it up using the app. I'll take your advice and reduce my usage but will it start staying for longer in a few days? Have you or anyone faced this before?
yes i have, right now it is 56% for 21 days.. its only because i don't use most of features.. only some in the display options.. just have a review for every feature in your mi band and disable what's not necessary for you and don't leave the Bluetooth open all the time just when you need it.. it will make difference for sure 😉

I did all the changes as you said, I changed my watch face, I restricted all background processes, I disconnected my phone from my band and just kept that aside while I sleep. But in the morning I saw that it still keeps decharging without even using it. I also didint use my alarm. In just 7 - 8 hours my band's battery decreases almost 2% per hour WITHOUT EVEN USING IT !!!

actually there is no on/off option for the PAI only to be in the display or from the "display settings" to view it manually on your band...
so if you choose a display that has no pai monitoring it won't work unless you ask for it 👍🏻

Hay there again, I am facing some other issue this morning today when I woke up my mi band 5 for turned off I charged it but it's not responding. What should I do
if it was me i would assume that it's a charger issue.. I would go to the service center with the charger and check if another charger will work or not, if not then let them check on the Band.

Actually I noticed that after turning off both the heart rate monitoring systems, it still monitors my heart rate every minute and surprisingly the battery doesn't drain that much!

look mi band 5 was different from what you could buy a year ago, but unfortunately what you can buy these days drains so fast at the early days of use no matter what just give it the time and and don't forget to reboot from time to time.. you can find similar issues (from the comments) with people bought it new and after a month their battery has been improved

Okay first of all form most of the comments i started to believe that in some countries xiaomi give really bad versions of mi band 5 don't know why..
so
1. make sure you watched all the video to cover all the points i was talking about
2. for some people the battery take some time to be at its best performance.
3. avoid heavy heavy usage as much as possible... and I'm not being silly telling you don't use at to last longer..

the band is like a Bluetooth device always ready to pair.. so there is no switch for it..
about the display you can find lots of watch faces is third party Apps.. just search in the store by "mi band 5 watch face"

the most strange thing in this band is that heart rate blinking light sometimes it keep blinking by itself even after you disable it and sometimes stops blinking and you find the rate in the display ... its crazy i know

My mi band 5 stopped as no charge and when I try to charge it I found it fully charged
my mi band 5 worked perfectly fine for over a year. it lasted around 25-30 days(not a heavy user). but just the other day, my band suddenly dropped its battery percentage drastically. the thing is i forgot to charger it since i was too busy.it was the first time that my band was drained. and now, its battery won't last for a day. 😩
try a factory reset and make sure u make all the updates

I purchased my mi band 5 today i charged it to 80% and i used if for a while it reached 42 % and i put it away and after 1 hour the charge automatically dropped to 16% could it be damaged? I am thinking of returning it.

well, that's weird, I started noticing lately that most of who bought it recently had issues like these with the battery some of them improved but it takes long time and some of them return it or change it.. see what suits you or may be get yourself the Band 6 😀

When I unboxed mi band 5 I charged it for 30 mins and it has got 44 %,, and 1 % has got drained per minute after I paired it with app then , the app just asked me to sign in and told that it was connected , then I unpaired it and re-paired the app only then it showed a option activate band ,then it took long time for pairing and downloaded all the resources, then it stayed 1 % for 1 and a half to 2 hrs , then I watched this video and I did what you told and it was 89% when I did as you told , then after 24 hours only 7-8 % has got drained, but the activity of drain was like this , 89 - 88- 87 in 8 hrs then 87 - 86 in 3hrs 86 -85 in 4hrs 85-84 in 1 hour then 84 -83 in 1 hr then 83 -82 in 4 hrs like non uniform all this hpnd without using the band and offed bt

1. it doesn't matter for now because your band is still new after a while you may find reach like 10 days or more according to your usage.
2. the option of the women health you can find it in the display sittings called "Cycles"

its not to be fixed.. it's all about using Bluetooth only when necessary ( only if want the mi band to last longer)
@@Anass_k So whats the purpose of smart watch if you have to turn BT off and don't receive any notification,etc on it? I just purchased today, charged 98% at 11 Am and by 2 pm,it got to 50%. It doesn't even charge to 100%. Charged again till 99% at 2.30 pm and it went back to 84% right now. Searching for fix but looks like everyone is facing this issue. Most likely will return product.

about the purpose of smart watch.. think about will you buy a smartphone and complain about the battery with using for games 24/7, every smart piece of technology has its normal usage and heavy usage, my first guessing about what happened with you is that most of the features are enabled with Bluetooth, otherwise there is something wrong with you mi band...
please watch all the video step by step.. I'm sure i have covered everything about the r battery with every feature... and then see what is the most suitable with you kind usage 😉
@@Anass_k hello Anass, after 2 weeks using the mi band 5 now the battery life is better and is about 5 days till the next charge!
My mi band 5 worked very well at starting, but after 3-4 months, battery when fully charged lasted only 1.5 HOURS! (Note that do the minimum use) then when i check heart rate or any other feature, suddenly the brightness increase and in 5-10 sec battery is totally drained (0%) and it switches off.
Also I have noticed that when the power is off and I charge it just after connecting to charger it ALWAYS shows 98% charged
(note that I have turned off the every minute heart rate feature, don't keep it connected to Bluetooth, and I do the MINIMUM USE!)

Make sure that you choose a watch face for your mi band 5 that not contains heart rate or PAI mentoring because when they are on the display they force the system to check & scan for them ... .... yes! its a stupid thing but that's how is it

it doesn't matter, anyway the band always alerts about the changes starting from 15%, you can easily prevent to reach 0%

not it's not possible.. it's just a Bluetooth device that is ready to pair

yeah its a stupid thing in the band but later on you will find it off by itself..
make sure of two things..
1. choose a watch face that does not contain the heart rate on the display to not to force the band to scan for it.. that usually help.
2. from time to time reboot it till you feel the difference in battery performance or the sensor is of.

so sorry for late, i got to tell you, I think this is one stupid thing in the mi band 5 i also faced this problem and i tried many things.. double check in the settings is off and also choose a watch face from third-party app that does not contain the heart rate on the display because sometimes it happens because it's already needed on the display and to be honest sometimes for no reason 😅..

yes when you choose watch face dose not have the heart rate monitoring and its already off in the settings. there will be no need for it to work.. supposedly!

@@Anass_k excuse me, did you know the reason why my mi band 5 battery can't reach 100% when charging. And the precentage keep reducing. Firstly 70% then the next after charging it stuck to 50%. Now it stuck to 30%. How should I do to make it 100% again?

So i thought it would last mich longer in the future

well actually after i viewing the comments of this video i realized that mi band 5 these days are not as good as what you could get once it was released, some of them the battery will get better after a while and its a matter of time, and others comes with something wrong with it.. i really have no personal experience with both cases because mine was perfectly fine since the first day I bought it..

8 h with heart rate monitoring discharge 8%
As like 1h equals 1%
Without heart rate monitoring and the Bluetooth
8h discharge 5 %
So i have the choice to use it only for 4 days and get all the Features
Or use it without it and get 7 days of usage
So if I used it only for 4 days and got all the features
Is that bad !!!

most of the new Mi Band 5 nowadays are like that just at the early days.. be patient and it will be improve by the time.. you can check other people's comments faced the same issue and it works fine with them now

I just double checked and there is only reboot, no power off.. if you want to turn you mi band off just keep it out of charge 😉

the band is like a Bluetooth device always ready to pair.. so there is no switch for it.. 😉
Mine goes from 99 to 50 in less than a day , than it consumes 4% for an hour , that happens to me to two bands. I did reset the factory and changed the phone even
if you still got the same band i believe it has been improved and it's suppose to last longer now with you, right?

@@Sattwikswain look i have used Mi band 2, 3 & 5 and all of them battery drains from 100 to 85% soo fast after charging.. then back to normal.. that is ok don't worry..
in my point of view i prefer to charge it from laptop or Desktop with only the original cable without adapter.. and its might tale average of 2 hours (give or take) this also normal 👍🏻

It may be trying to get your heart rate every minute or so(i dont remember exactly). But you can turn this off in the mifit app.
Theree is another problem i turn off all of this but battry die after 1 hour 😢

okay you mean the Face watch.. unfortunately there no option to send it or share.. but it's very easy to get.. just write on google play: "mi band 5 face watch".. you will find many apps like i showed in the video... download any of them you will find tons of them

4:35 Actually i my band hear rate detection is turned off but in hardware sensors are automatically turns on for every 30 minutes and it scans for 1 minute , i dont know why this is happening , this is the main reason for battery drain . and i recently i visited near by mi service center and check out , he said all fine that a software problem there is no way to fix it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yes it is really something weird with the mi band 5... but i believe that if you choose a watch face that does not contain the heart rate on the display it will fix it.. probably
