Wow that was an impressive tank tour! I really enjoying them. I have the exact same Cade peninsula and this puts mine to shame, but also given me some good ideas for how I can better my tank and just make things more neat.
I had to tough through it. The tank is amazing. Parker, concentrate on the interview not the conversation you want to have. Give the interviewee an opportunity to talk uninterrupted. I love your knowledge and enthusiasm though, keep it up!
What a great coral scape the color combinations make this tank a real masterpiece. What would it be like in two three years, mind blowing, no doubt. I especially like that staghorn, sps thingy, not sure what its called but looks like deers antlers, that is just the crowning jewel. I'm in Southeast Asia and not in a devlpped part like malaysia or Singapore, too many power outages, nobody keeps salt water tanks except in the big city and even still, its technically illegal, amd people just don't have the income to do it, very few, it would be irresponsible yo set up atank and have everything die because the shops ran out of salt or there was a two day long power outage which can happen and does occasionally. At least we have some coral reefs to go see though and I can look at your guyses' tanks on this channel. What a stellar tank, great work Shan!
sick tank, would love to see an update on this tank, does he has a Instagram account ? love how you Aussies get more variety of corals than us in the US
I’ll see if we can do an update in the coming months as I know the tank has changed a bit since this video. It’s funny, we’re only allowed Australian corals, so technically you guys should have a way broader selection than us
Sensational tank and video. I'd like to hear some detail on the T-slot lighting rig. Where you got it and what size and type. Also how you attached the Radion X bracket. It looks like you've drilled through the top of the bracket and fastened it with bolt and bracket connector. Is that right?
Yep fair call! Looks to be 4040 extrusion, you can find that pretty much anywhere these days including the brackets and fasteners to make what you need. From there it is just a t-bolt through the factory ecotech slide to hold it to the extrusion 👍🏻
Super tank. I finally purchased my tank after much thinking and research. I went with the Cade peninsula 1200. I’m going to have 2 Bombies and it will be highly soft coral focased with a few lps. Couple of clown fish, some blue Chromis, a coral beauty or flame angel, lawn mower blenny, coral gobie. Maybe a cleaner shrimp. I have 2 Radion G6 pro, I plan on making a custom hanging light shroud to stop the ambient light spreading around the rim. I have 2 MP 40,s a vectra M2 pump. Aqua 57 watt uv steriliser.Teko TK 1000 chiller, 2 fluval 300 watt heaters, a Deltec 1000i skimmer. Tunze chic fuge light. Currently have 80 mantis balls and 2 mantis blocks in my local fish shops sump of live rock, ready to go in when I set up my tank, I also spent a fortune on art reef rock. I’m so looking forward to setting this up. Looking into setting up an auto water change system now. Doing my research on that. Probably drill a few holes under the floor boards and run lines up through there into the tank, and out to my shed. Keep up the good work Sam, merry Christmas and happy reefing.
Awesome tank Shan and again thank you Sam for another awesome vid. 1:06 the coral you thought maybe lobophillia is a symphyilla was another one earlier in the vid too. Main difference is lobo has multiple small heads, symphyilla is one large head/polyp. Apoligies fur crop spilling..lol
Incredible tank! I am also looking at a Cade Peninsula. It seems Cade is very highly regarded for quality, I have found little evidence of tank/seam failure (there are a few out there though). Are Cades made in China or Australia? Or both?
Sam, I just found this video and appreciate it very much and as I love coral reef tanks, I subscribed to your channel… It would be great if you can list and breakdown the equipment to each of your tank showing so individuals can look into possibly getting them to set up a similar tank … also indicate approximately how much the entire setup costs
Thanks for the sub! I do try to cover the equipment breakdown for each of these tanks, but tend not to go into cost as it is a sensitive topic for friends and family of the tank owner!! You can work out approximate costs from the equipment list though :)

Hey guys I have a 40 gallon FOWLER tank and I’m currently treating the tank with chemiclean. I had a cyano outbreak on the rocks at the top. First off can you run chemiclean for 72 hours instead of 48? And do I have to replace all media in my canister filter after treatment? Or do I just replace the carbon and rince the foam, ceramic balls and phosphate pads and replace floss? The tank is 1.5 years old
