- Let's take a look at two, yep two, incredible display tanks at Aquamarine Aquaristic. From a 7ft peninsula filled to the brim with Goni and SPS through to a SPS dominated 3 meter (ten foot!) long system - there is plenty to see and admire at Aquamarine Aquaristic.
Be sure to check out their website for more details:

Totally agree! Thanks for watching, be sure to tell the team you saw the video when you do visit :)
@@ParkersReef No worries, I'll be sure to drop your name 👍
Beautiful tanks!!! Thanks for sharing 👏💪
Thanks for watching!
Another great video 🙏 my cade 1500 is finally cycled and I've added my first ever saltwater fish . Just a pair of ocellaris clownfish for now . No corals just yet 🎉🎉
Super exciting!!! All the best with your new clowns :)
Jono is adding some magic potions 😊, displays looks astounding
They look decent hey!!
Hi Parker! Can you or can you have your guest explain what happens to the water quality as it passes through each stage of the sump/refugium system and their reason for the way their sump is set up? Thanks great content always look forward to your next episodes
Thank you!!!
I will do, but there is usually a few things that happens:
1. Mechanical filtration (socks or rollers)
2. Protein skimmer (removes organics)
3. Refugium (removes more organics)
4. Chemical filtration (targets things like phosphate with GFO)
5. Return - pumps water back to the display!
Awesome reef tanks!!!!!!
Pretty neat displays!!
Sam - you gonna a be at Melbourne Pet Show?
Wasn’t planning on it, but I did hear you may be coming???
Good to see, we don't need too many gadgets to get beautiful and colourful acros, simple and easy. Already got the ticket too fragarama . I will see you guys there!
Looking forward to it mate!
Great vid, beautiful tanks.
I am interested in the cardinal fish article; I can only find the article about herbivore poo vs coral eater poo.
Many thanks! Yeah I’m waiting for Jono to give us the link to that article, plenty of us are interested!!
Can you explain more about the cardinal fish and Acropora infection? (I can't find the article) Thanks
I haven’t been able to find the link myself, hopefully Jono will jump on tonight 👍🏻
Not infection, the bacteria Their stomach produces helps with acropora supposedly ill find the link
Hey Sam. Awesome vid once again. Love the shop. I have visited it quite a few times. I didn't quite catch the name of the fuge light. Which light was used?
It’s a zetlight. A pretty affordable brand to be honest
Hi do u guys quarantine ur fishes ? How did u add ur Achilles and pbt? Together?
Jono will reply here, it’s a good question for sure as they are angry fish!!
This gonio garden❤
It’s nice hey?! 😍
On the second tank, does he run UV 24/7? Thanks Sam, his tanks are next level. Stay cool down there!
Yeah mate UV all day everyday
UV is always best 24/7
What is that digital temp gage he has on his tank
Yeah I did see that on the first display and have not seen it before. I believe Jono might be covering that on his channel soon but can hopefully reply here to give you the basic info now 👍🏻
They are just some cheap temp gauges from ebay, they are not 100% accurate but quite noticeable for staff as we work past on our checks
Are you prohibited from importing captive bred fish into Australia?
Yes I believe that is the current situation yes
Why acrylic better than glass for that sump?
Because it looks pretty, that’s about all
@@ParkersReef is the 3m tank acrylic? I'm trying to design a big tank.....so I don't think I have a choice but acrylic 🤷♂️. Great video BTW. I'm new to the channel.
@Gordon87Gekko welcome to the channel! It’s glass :)
@@ParkersReef Glass!! Geez, I didn't think they built them that big! Wouldn't acrylic make more sense in your home for safety reasons - leaks?
@Gordon87Gekko acrylic is not common here in australia, glass is much easier to get hold of
Sweeeeeeeeeet.
Great tanks!!
