Good morning Catherine. Those looks absolutely delicious. - kind of reminds me of a Scotch egg. And I agree it's the perfect appetizer for just about any holiday, or of course Game Day Sunday. That being said, y'all have a great Sunday full of fun, family and food.

Catherine your delicious egg recipe is similar to an Egyptian breakfast food were they fry hard boiled eggs in ghee or butter and they come out crispy without the bread crumb coating, and then they sprinkle some spices on it. But your recipe is better I need to give it a try.

Catherine if you have a instant pot you put eggs on rack add 1 cup water then high pressure for 4minutes,natural release for 4 minutes then remove from pressure cooker run eggs under cold water till cool to touch then peel. The eggs come out perfect.
I’m very traditional. I still cook like my momma did for the holidays. I use miracle whip, yellow mustard. That’s it other than laying 1/2 olive on top. But I’d try these in a heartbeat. 🙏🏻

Hi Catherine~ I want to share two tricks I've learned when I boil eggs. Starting with your method, I stir my eggs every minute or so to center the yolk and then the whites don't get thin spots. When I peel the eggs, I crack them all over and roll them between my palms (like making a meatball) under running water. The water gets under the membrane and just pops the shell right off the egg. I can't wait to try this recipe for fried deviled eggs!! Love your recipes~

WOW Katherine! I've heard of lots of ways to do devil eggs but never fried! I love devil eggs so I believe I'll have to try these. My dad always said brown eggs tasted best! Lol

Wow Catherine, they look delicious. I use my instapot to make boiled eggs. 5 minutes pressure, 5 minutes NPR and 5 minutes ice bath they come out perfect and you can do a bunch at a time. Thank you for this recipe. Have a super fantastic day Sherry 💗

Plus, I think I may have already commented this before, but one year I didn’t check the label.. was in a hurry and grabbed the bottle of “paprika”, it was actually cayenne 😮 still didn’t waste any eggs 😂

Such a unique idea! Going to make these for sure. My trick to help peel the eggs easy( especially farm fresh) is to put a couple pieces of pasts in the water, any kind will do, the starch in the pasta helps the shells slide right off.

I put my eggs together, with the yoke mixture than batter and cook the whole egg. Comes out perfect

I would have never thought to do that in a million years
I drain the pan after the 11 minutes put ice and water in the pan. Place the top on the pan shake pan over sink. The eggs almost peel their self. I use the egg shell water in garden.
I assume you add the baking soda to the boil water to prevent cracking. I don’t use baking soda, but I do add a splash of vinegar (any kind) for that purpose, and it’s highly effective! In the five years I’ve been doing that I’ve only lost one egg to cracking, and even then it barely bubbled out of the crack.
