@@Talcyon64 I assumed on first listen it was a relationship song about him being a doormat and just dealing with it, especially with all the opposing lyrics (Clear as day/Can't see shit). But I saw an article that referred to this as a song about oral sex. I read the full lyrics and I don't really read that specifically, but the rest of the song does read like he's trying to smash. Or trying to figured out if she also wants to. And I don't really see any other gaslight-y lyrics like I was expecting. So yeah, I can take the leap to say the title basically mean 'Sit on my Face".

Funk! Great lyrics, awesome groove, love that bridge too. Really cool how you apply a long deep reverb to certain specific words a t the end of certain verses, the album has such nuanced sounds and layers and so many styles and genres, incredible arrangements, vocals are really a stand out, it's really superb work man, cheers from Brazil.

One of the best things to cone from watching "Dear White Peopke..." was learning about the existance of Louis Cole.
I knew about him way longer. (over fourteen years when I was in High School) His R&B roots are never acknowledged by his white/Pomplamoose fans smh. I never seen the movie or that TV show, seemed like an Insecure ripoff smh, and I'm a Black guy btw. But good you found out about it on a Black drama show. Louis Cole should stick to soul music imo.
