Believe it or not, This is a Hidden Hermle movement. They just put “Urgos” on the plate. They bought out Urgos in 2004-2005 bc Urgos went out of business.
I have a bracket clock with an Urgos movement that plays these three chime melodies. Because of the more restrained case size of a bracket clock, the chimes are shorter and higher pitched, but the sound is nice. Urgos made fine movements.
Just a regular grandfather clock. I got another video showing the outside of the clock along with the chimes. I’m not sure what you mean by what type is it.
That might play the Urgos Westminster chime when the chime plays the Winchester chime.
The Kieninger movement is pretty!❤
It actually has an Urgos movement but it still sounds pretty.
@@brianeifert4667 Aha so this is Urgos
Wonderful sound!
Very VERY modern Urgos movement.
You can tell based on how the hammer’s heads are shaped that it’s modern too

@@V.G.F. I think this movement was made before Urgos as a whole shut down. Maybe in the mid-2000s?
@@QuackersClocksYT some of the gears look modern. Also they don’t use those big chime barrels anymore. Idk.
@@V.G.F. Shape of the hammers gives the modern Urgos design away
@@QuackersClocksYT this clock is from the late 80s
Thanks for showing the movement I like this clock this has a urgos movement
You’re welcome! I figured people would want to see the inside.
@@brianeifert4667 that strike was quite scary if it had a strike off I would definitely turn that off
@@cobesclocks1949 it doesn’t have that. I love hearing the strike!! It’s so much better in person!
@@brianeifert4667 lol I got a clock that sounds exactly like this
@@cobesclocks1949 that’s awesome!! Even though it sounds the same I’d like to hear it.
Spectacular!

I never heard a Urgos movement playing Winchester Chimes.
Winchester is a chime that is usually associated with Urgos movements.
@@QuackersClocksYT Ah, okay. Next time better! ;)
Me neither! I think the chime just fits so well for an Urgos-type clock.

@@QuackersClocksYTsome antique German brands made Winchester clocks but by the 70s+ I think only urgos made Winchester movements
Does the clock work? I didn’t see the pendulum moving
Yes it does. I forgot to wind it yesterday so it had stopped early this morning and I just decided to make the video before I started it back up.
What type of clock is this?

@@brianeifert4667 I mean the brand. Like for example, Howard Miller.
