The vette is coming along Taylor! Seems like the angle mods made a huge difference. As a a big C5 fan, and LS fan in general, I was stoked to see what you would do with the vette...and you did not disappoint! Also, Allan seems like the nicest guy ever lol.

by the way, the part where you said your syncros were bad, are you having trouble with them? Are you going to rebuild the transmission? I thought that only 00 and earlier c5's had the syncros problems. BTW About to get a c5 because of your videos!

Taylor Ray I recommend Kooks or American racing they make high quality parts. The only other things to do to the vette for reliable power would be heads and a cam those really wake the motor up. Keep up the amazing work your killing the game Taylor.

Ya Adam was just not trying to rip it to hard because the 1j hasn't even been in the car for one week and then Orion just hops in and rips it.
Nay Cee in Orion's defense there is no tachometer and I would imagine that was his first 1J drive. So he prolly wasn't too sure of the limits.

Taylor, were the angle mod brackets made out of tube, and where they bolt to the knuckle, just have washers welded on the ends where the bolts go through?
That's what it looks like, not surprising it ripped out and because that's not very strong, and there is a whole lot of stress on them (as you mentioned)
On angle mods V2 those parts should be made of solid bar with a hole drilled in the middle, and then just get some longer bolts, that way the forces are distributed through the whole part, not just around the welds of the washers.
Corey Bell yes, that was all I could do on the time schedule we had. these were more proof of concept for testing pickup locations. I am working on a billet version that will be many times stronger. In due time.

Maybe you should look into tire racks that sits over your bootlid. Something that can be easily be removed.
I think you're going to be a much better driver because of this 'Vette, drifting with limited angle and no e-brake and stuff must be a hell of a lot harder than a standard drift car
