2 doors is a safety feature. If for some reason your door is blocked, say up against a wall, having that other exit might be a really big deal. Or if the crash knocked you out it might be a way for people to get in to help you. Just a thought.
Can you make a roof hatch like funny cars have? I don't know how they get around the cage, but they got one too. It has to work somehow. Maybe that's easier than a second door

The amount of cautions alone with that many vehicles wrecking or breaking during a race would turn it into a snooze fest. Run 2 30 car heats, top 15 from each run in the main. Everyone gets a shot but keeps it actually enjoyable.

If I’m not mistaken, a lot of tracks require atleast 2 points of exit from a vehicle be it door, roof hatch, drop down netting or a break away window.
